If I had seen Cary Grant in Hollywood/Beverly Hills, well I woulth sertain recognized him.... My most favorit actor off all times.... He certainly deserved a few Oscars. There was no man as him before him and till now no man as him after him..... !!! 💜❤🧡💛💚💙
A late friend of mine met him in Tokyo, in the airport when he was filming "Walk, Don't Run." True to form, she had no idea it was him until after they were airborne & he had a bottle of champagne sent to her. What a fantastic memory to have!
"He created millions... of Non-Slobs." This may be the most perfect epitaph ever written, as it encapsulates the enormity of Grant's influence on our culture: We boys might want to BE Humphrey Bogart, or Jack Nicholson, or John Wayne, or Roy Rogers, even... ...but Cary Grant showed us how we could be our own best selves by the way in which he was his own best self. (Only Michael Caine could have delivered this appreciation this well.)
Cary Grant is my favorite actor ever. Not only was he a great star of the 1930s in films like "Gunga Din"(1939) and "The Philadelphia Story"(1940), but his dramatic roles in both "None But the Lonely Heart"(1944) and "Notorious" (1946) should have garnered him Oscars. His last Hitchcock fim, the classic "North by Northwest"(1959), was another masterpiece. He was an amazing man who rose above humble and difficult circumstances to become one of the most famous and celebrated persons alive.
Cary Grant AND Michael Caine have both impressed me as terrific film actors. It's delightful to hear the younger star pay this tribute to the older star.
I’ve always seen Cary Grant as being one of the rare people who always seems to be charismatic no matter what he’s doing. Almost as if, no matter what he’s doing, his whole being is at ease because he knows exactly how to act and what to say in every situation. Definitely one of the greatest actors of all time!
I feel the same way, but I was 4 when he died. Had no idea who he was till a few years back when I got on a classic movie kick. Wish I’d been around during his hey-day.
Imagine someone didn’t know him? One of THE BEST & MOST GOOD LOOKING ACTORS IN HOLLYWOOD & she has no idea at whom she’s looking! 😂😂😂 GREAT STORY! Nice clip! STILL LOVE CARY GRANT! ✨❤️💕💜✨
Awesome post. He is one man that I would have recognized no matter how old he was. One of my regrets is not having the pleasure of having met him. I can only get to know him through DVD and video. Rest in peace Mr Grant and thank you for the memories
That's why they have to give lifetime achievement awards. Comedians, that endure in our mind for making us laugh, never win because they are seen as "light" when getting a laugh is the hardest thing. Comedians in movies make it look easy. That's why they have lifetime achievement awards. They award the people we can't believe they didn't....All because they made us smile instead of cry. And we would've killed the academy if they didn't.
TCM had another tribute to Cary Grant, by TONY CURTIS. I preferred that one. He was so enthusiastic. And his love was genuine: just see his Cary Grant impression in "Some Like It Hot".
I want to be Cary Grant when I grow up. I want to be that charming and epic, and I wanna make out with Ingrid Bergman, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. Sounds like a swell life.

I was, in part, named after this man! It's a shame he died before I was born. But I'm proud I share his name! 😃

Ya no hay hombres así.
Es verdad, tal vez Pierce Brosnan ,George Clooney o el modelo ingles David Gandy tengan un aire a ese estilo, pero con Cary se rompio el molde.
