Very smart they turned it into a refit yard. A special niche market that also generates a premium revenue stream and has a local population filled with skilled craftsman. Certainly a benefit to Mediterranean based yacht owners. Love the drone footage, worth a million words. Thank you.

Thank you for the history lesson on the yard. Very interesting and great to hear successful repurpose program. Sometimes these places go away and never return, hurting the local economy for years. It would be a good example to use for people who tend to sneer at yachts as a waste, and complain they contribute nothing worthwhile to an economy.

Azzam movements are very mysterious. I was very surprised to see it in Trieste, Italy last October. It is usually docked in UAE so seeing it so far from its home was unusual to say the least.
We drove from Cassis to La Ciotat many years ago but unfortunately did not visit the shipyards or marina. Now i regret it.

Interesting as always. I thought repair and refitting was done by the original shipyard who built the yacht.
There is a warranty period when that happens. But afterwards anything goes.

Actually the docks is where ships go to... dock. They go to shipyards to get work carried out. And superyachts go to specialists yard, you should watch the video.
