Wow your boys are not only hard workers but also very intelligent for such a young age. They are truly living the life. While other teenagers are causing hell yours are learning valuable lessons on becoming knowledgeable humans. Growing up in your family is truly wonderful. I am 72 and I would have loved to have grown up in your family.
Your family is endlessly industrious and creative with God’s bounty. Such a wonderful video and again, I really love watching how both Ethan and Justin model your behavior as they show their younger siblings how to do things and then allow them to practice and become proficient. It was so cute watching the close ups of Wyatt and Chloe tasting the sap right out of the trees. Chloe is a mini me of her daddy! Avalon was so strong chopping wood in her pjs. I love your family so much and it makes me happy to see how much you’re all enjoying your new home.
This is my new favorite video! The dedication the kids had to have to make the final syrup is amazing. I am so fond of the kids in this family. I'm actually very fond of the entire family. I love the lessons you and Priscilla teach your kids and you have so much patience with them. You're certainly a family any young family could look up to as role models. I saw on facebook Wyatt had to have the tip of one finger cut off. Please hug him for me. I feel so bad for him and hope he recovers quickly.
Very nice. I love how you eat off the land. God has given us so many natural resources. (And He saw that it was Good!) You guys are amazing. Good job Ethan and Justin. It is so good to see you take advantage of what treasures you have hidden on your land. So worth the time and energy.
Amazing how the whole family participate in this process what a great family especially the boys great job God blessed until next episode stay safe stay healthy stay strong ❤❤❤
Such smart boys so precious and willingly to do whatever is asked of them. You are wonderful parents training and encouraging them all for their future, God Will. 😊♥️
It seems the boys even did their own research to learn how to get the sap and the process to make the syrup. Not many kids would even do half that, but they did everything!!! You have such AWESOME AND SMART KIDS!!!! There is nothing they won't be able to accomplish in life!!! Proof of great parenting, faith, love, patience, and parents that take the time to teach & praise their kids for all they do!!!
As a Michiana area maple syrup producer I couldn't help but notice your pans and how they are set on the stove. The first cooker I made was very similar to yours. However I found out that if you set the pans so the heat only contacts the bottom and not up the sides (yours are recessed into the stove) the scorched black color of your syrup should go away leaving you with a much better color.
Another great video! I learned so much about how syrup is made. I didn't realize it took so much work. I think y'all can do anything you put your mind to. You conceive it in your heads & then figure out a way to accomplish it...amazing. Your new home is beautiful! Y'all are so blessed to have a close family, teaching your children hard work, respect, love, the love of God & importance of faith. Oh, so many in society could learn a lesson by observing your family. I always look forward to you next video. God bless all of you!❤❤
That was an awesome process to making birch syrup!! Looks so yummy! A Blessing to watching your family working together toward one goal! I’ve been praying for Wyatt & a speedy, painless, healing! 💜✝️
Justin & Ethan really did their research & prep work for this project ! Outstanding video. Many blessings Miller family and Happy Mother's day weekend Priscilla .
What a treat. This was delightful, educational, fun, amazing, heartwarming, and a testimony to raising children according to the Word of God in the Love of Jesus. Your family is an inspiration to everyone. Happy Mother’s Day. Thank you.
I finally made it back home to Troy. My Mama and I took a little drive to see your store. I met one of your nieces who I thought Avalon resembled, we had a delicious iced coffee and purchased some pantry items. The store is sure beautiful. It was a warm sunny day with the cabinet mountains fully on display. We had a lovely day!
Wow! That’s so amazing! I never thought that there was so much work in making syrup! Great job! Love how the whole family works together! Happy Mothers Day Priscilla! May God bless you and your beautiful family this Mother’s Day weekend! 💐💐
I'm like other's had no idea what it took to make syrup. How awesome. I just love how well rounded ALL the children will be when they start their own homes. I agree some jobs are for men or women...but around the home...your home... it's everyone's job. Great job!!!!
0h that looks so wonderful, it reminds me when we use to go to sugar cane mill, they made cane syrup. Brings back so many wonderful memories 💖, thank you so very,And I know that the lord is going to continue bless you and keep you 🙏.
Wow, how fun and how we appreciate the work of the hands that do all these works. You kids did absolutely great! So proud of you and it shows also Mother Nature gives us even food or nutrition in her gift of trees.........this was just awesome! Thank you for this and I knew it takes gallons and gallons to make the syrup but not how you go through all the processes. Very enlightening and who better to go on this adventure with!!! The kids are awesome and the things they are learning isn't something that you can experience just by reading it in a book. Love the encouragement Priscilla and Joas give the children to do these things. Awesome video everyone!!! Blessings and Happy Mother's Day to you Priscilla!!
Birch syrup is always dark so do not worry you succeed very well. The boys have been very creative to get all the all the sap collected! Congratulations you all!
HELLO PRISCILLA, JOAS, KIDS & AUTUMN...WOW, JUST LIKE MAPLE SYRUP, FOR PANCAKES...YOU'RE LEARNING GREAT SKILLS, ETHAN & JUSTIN, FOR THE FUTURE...ALL THE BEST...🙏;)
I sent this video to my sister in Southwestern Pennsylvania. She and her husband are maple producers; they run their own sugar camp. I know they will enjoy watching your family make birch syrup! Your resourcefulness as a family is always a joy to see. Blessings! 😇💗👍
Gosh, I never knew how much actual work went into making syrup, woaw, think I’ll just buy it buy the jar/tin which lasts about 10 years in my house 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 well done boys :)
J + E are like a book of knowledge. They can do so much. The syrup took their spot on the storage room shelf nicely, what a story to think of when you use.
What a fun and interesting project for your family! Ethan and Justin did an amazing job! It’s great to see all of the family pitch in. I never realized how much work was involved in making Birch syrup. What an inspiration your family is! Priscilla, have a blessed Mother’s Day!
well when the young men are not building houses they are making syrup. so awesome! and the younger brother and sisters help. Looks like they had fun . they all have a great work ethic.
Wow first time seeing syrup being collected wonderful job boys and girls you are amazing !! Keep up the great work, now you can make your own lattes 😊 you have a beautiful beautiful home 👌💞 i am enjoying your videos and see so much love in your home, may God Bless you !! Happy Mother's Day have a great weekend 🙏🙏
I remember as a lil girl helping my Grandpa and My Daddy work sugar cane to make Molasses it's a lot of hard work but it sure pays off to get to eat this sweet taste of Syrup.... Great Work Guys..... Such a wonderful video.... God bless y'all
How interesting! Lots of studying and preparation went into the birch tree sap collection project. Your family has a unique gift of turning work into fun. Thanks for sharing your amazing projects. Blessings to each of you.
For a lighter color: Reverse Osmosis kit which concentrates the sap up to 15 - 20% succerose then into the evaporator but slowly cooking only to evaporate the water and in the kitchen also slowly simmer up to ~ 67°Brix For the Refraktometer you should calebrate with H²O dest. (destilled Water) like your wife uses for her iron.
Very interesting, what a way to spend your time, creativity, useful, and knowledgeable. Lord our children and young adults need to learn from your family🙏🏼you are so kind and sweet to your young siblings ❤
Oh my,, that was really interesting.. Thank you guys for showing us step by step in collecting sap and then cooking it off.. our daughter Ernestines boss gave us some homemade syrup already and it was really tasty.. Thank you for sharing 🙏 😊,,, Oh yeah,, Happy Mother's Day Priscilla 💖 💗
Wow, I wish I could make homemade syrup, but here in Southern California, I don't think that's going to happen! Loved the video! Thank you and God Bless 😃
I know that Burch syrup is delicious. When my son lived in the area where you are, he made some and sent some to us. He said it truly is a lot of work. It was fun watch you guys make it. enjoy using the syrup on a lot of different foods.
I do home health care and one of the gentleman I worked for was full of a wealth of info. He had the highest sales in for this area for his syrup. To clean up the syrup they took egg whites and whipped them up and poured on top of the syrup and it collects all the impurities. Who’d have thought!
I know it’s a lot of hard work for everyone, but wow, l love the learning curve! Next time you will do so much better because learned so much! Great job kids!👏👏👏
Gosh I know you are so proud of your boys. They are hard workers and look just like their daddy. Your great parents to your children. The girls are beautiful like their mom. God is good. Love your video’s.
That syrup looks delicious! I'm originally from NYS and it's maple syrup there. There's a restaurant that opens only for acouple months a year making buckwheat pancakes, etc making the syrup on premises. And you can also buy their syrup to take home. Fun watching you make it but a lot of work !!
@@cindyleasure6901 I know where Angelica is! I'm in the Canandaigua area! I did enjoy it! I love the Southern Tier area! Except, it IS still New York, though, lol!
I have seen maple syrup made in New England but never knew there was such a thing as birch syrup. I admire all your hard work!! If you ever sold it it would probably be $100 a quart at least😉
Great video to show folks. Maple syrup is the same process. 40-1 is the ratio. About 40 gal of sap to 1 gallon of finished syrup... Brings back memories. I have the same meter. Just takes one drop to know...
I’m sure the answer to this question will be no but… could we adopt your 2 older boys!! Lol I’ve never seen such hard working kids EVER!! Your family is amazing! We look forward to your videos every Friday!!💕😉
Get some lowes or home depot bucket. Then get a hook and screw in tree and let tube drain in buckets. It's easy to just wash buckets out.. it takes 40 gallons of sap to make a gallon of syrup after its cooked down. When it doesn't stay below freezing at night, season is over.. do you have some buckets that you can wash and sterilize really well to using instead of jars. No chemicals should have been used in them. Depending on when in the season you get it the color is different. It is lighter in the beginning and toward end of season it gets darker. I cook mine outside in a stainless turkey toaster.
Joas; does your family cork the trees after each collection year, so the trees can continue to bathe in their natural nutrients? I heard the trees live longer. Then each year the corks are removed and your drainage spools can be reinserted the next year. Let me know if my information is correct. We love your family shares and especially how everyone works together. God bless as always.❤
I have watched Joe make syrup here on TH-cam,but of course I have forgot how he made it. Looks like the kids had a lot of fun. I hope the animals don’t mess with your buckets. Yum, the coffee looks so good. This is May, when will your snow melt ? God bless and stay warm, ❤
