2:40 When I think of "The Village", I think of a weird place where everybody has numbers instead of names, people can never leave, there are killer roaring weather balloons.
Omg...I have a trust fund cousin who is in one of these in Florida! Thanks for filling in the gaps.
My grandparents live here, and it’s genuinely creepy how similar everything is
they made a boomer ethnostate lmao
Revisiting after the president retweeted the “white power” tweet
This sounds like the ideal neighborhood to loot when the revolution comes
For what? Franklin mint collectible plates?
Stamps?
Fucking golf clubs?
@@finished6267 all the dinars you could ever want.
@@freakyzed8467 oh tight. Iraqi dinar are the boomer doge.
This is one of the best of all time
The Villages sounds a lot like The Muse at Windsor Heights from Snow Crash.
Wait so anti war protesters didn’t spit on Vets? Damn I thought protesters were cool.
Well vets are in a way the victims of the system. They get sent to faraway lands to kill people so that corporations can line their pockets.
My grandfather served in some of the worst fighting in Korea, and he came out hating war just as much as any anti war protestor.
The saddest part is that his records where lost over the years so when my family tried to get him VA benefits it took them years to get barely anything.
Plz do not spit on veterans, thank u
Spitting on people who got drafted would be shitty
@@timlampasona6925 Hi, vet here, if you would've spit on me I wouldn't have taken until 2014 to realize that Obama and the whole liberal edifice was a sham.
Yes. Ask my black grandfather (ww2) and father (Vietnam)
About that. There were no parades, or any of that other shit. It was just 'welcome back , boy, get to sweeping floors and washing dishes, unless you want to be a career military man'
A fleet of golf carts, armed with hunting rifles, decorated with hunting gear…
They rule the Florida mainland.
Still one of the best Chapo episodes.
I heard the villages has the largest concentration of STDs in the country
"It has enough golf courses to play a different course every week of the year..."
"Oh my fucking God kill me now"
I made the mistake to take a peek at The Villages area satellite images via maps. It might be as depressing as scrolling around looking at the tar sands oil extraction operations.
A few years ago a friend suggested I move there. I didn't explicitly know any of this but reacted instinctively, "No way."
You say "The Village" and my mind goes to The Prisoner. Which also works in this context.
Thanks for the PSA. I now know one place NOT to go to when I retire.
Chet Sturges. Aaah ha ha ha ha ha.
WTF is "Chet" short for anyway? I mean, surely no one is actually called "Chet".
Chester lol, sad I know that but that's what it's short for
Ur so right at the end I used to conservative until I actually thought about nuance
This is the humour needed in a psycho world. The brutal truth in a brutal world😀😊😭😢😐😃😄
Also, I'm from Indianola, MS. The home of the White Citizens Council. Their headquarters were across the street where we were raised. A conservative father from Mississippi. A liberal mother from California. An interesting mix.
There's a based lib in this neighborhood who is the coolest man you will ever know. And he's having a great time ☺️😂
My great grandma (97 years old, blind, and very active) is fucking great. She’s a hardcore catholic, but she’s pro gay rights, pro abortion, pro religious freedom, etc (weird, huh?). She lives through the Great Depression, graduated high school at 16 and joined a shoe factory to support her family. She was voted “most likely to become president” in her class but she had to give up her dreams of going to college because her family was so poor. She is hardline anti-trump, and has voted progressive in every election since she turned 18. I really, really wish every old person was like her.
Your great grandmother needs to Go On Chapo.
Hardcore catholic anti catholic. Nice.
Shinra reference got me pretty fucked up, it's vindicating that one of my favorite pieces of science fiction was so prescient but on the other hand oh noooooooo
Wow. That's twice as many people as love in my hometown, the "City" of Berwyn.
A whole town of front steps that need buttering
These guys need to peep the villages in Vancouver Washington, across the river from and also in Portland Oregon . Some funky shit goin on there
Shinra Company!!!
Literally midgar
If we have minimum age to vote we should have a maximum too. The moment you retire you're off the ability to vote.
Trying to fix the Titanic with duct tape
I got a concealed carry ad as pre-roll for Chapo. lol.
brookstanner
Is it the “RESPONSIBLE GUN OWNERS DON’T CARRY A GUN AS A WEAPON, BUT AS A SHIELD” with the flip-out holster? Made it a point to never buy their holster because of how fucking annoying that ad is.
Oh shit. My grandfather lives in the villages,I've been there. Shit ton of STDs between the inhabitants.
Here's another comment posted on TheVillageNews.com by an actual resident:
"Don, What a breath of fresh air. My parents were messianic white liberals from suburban Chicago who believed in bussing, sec.8, quotas, lowered standards, abolish civil service, etc. I tried to tell them about "diversity" but they won't listen. FINALLY their neighborhood became integrated. 1 st to go was the Propane BBQ grill,Lawn mower while taking a Pee, groceries while unloading from the street, roofing shingles taken at night, burglary while doing yard work, neighbor kids asking for just $10 to buy food(crack), schools scores collapsed while spending more$.They missed out on the masked home invasions. I tried to tell them for I lived & worked with multiculturalism. Our government has ethnically cleansed every major city in America. We need a currency collapse to see if America would survive like The Great Depression."
this is why we need a boomercide, 5 years cannot come fast enough holy shit
We need to nuke these motherfuckers from orbit.
Wow the new get out adaptation went in a weird direction
Goddamn, Jordan Peele NEEDS to make this.
There is a pizza restaurant in The Villages called NYPD Pizza.
New York Pizza Delicatessen
I think I just found a neighborhood of volunteers for an early cremation
see this video rocks even more today because the villages basically don't exist anymore because everyone within 100 miles that could afford to live there and wants to died of covid.
Really?
Really?
no, combining a right-wing exodus with the state Democratic Party being incompetent and banking completely on a strategy of “hey you’re Hispanic, you have to vote for us right??” the entire state of Florida is basically the villages now
I'd rather retire to the Cecil Hotel. seriously.
Even if you love golf, who the FUCK wants to live with/by that many golf courses?!? I’m a huge swimmer, but there’s such a thing as too many swimming pools no matter how cool they are!
How many years do we have to wait until it's under water?
“Oh I just unlocked the Lieutenant Calley skin.”
Jesus I live near Londonderry and oh my god they're so rich. I'm in the not so rich part and no one around here even associates with them even tho the towns are almost right next to each other
Can't wait until the Villages degenerates into the music video for HAM by Mr. Oizo.
1:54 Generation Pickleball
6:00 This guy should live in a kennel [Felix]
11:08 Chet Sturgis
11:33 Fucking clapping seals [Felix]
15:21 They've been pouring across the border
oh i bet it's just a coincidence that this is the only content on TH-cam that stops playing and pretends to buffer with full wifi or 4G and doesn't resume until i close and reopen the app and reload the video?
"Easily over a hundred puppies" killed me
My aunt and uncle live in the same type of community and are the same type of people. There are golf carts everywhere and right across their house is a golf course thing.
