Single dude here. Well, I finally got my air fryer today. COSORI Pro 2 5.8 Qt. Followed your instructions on the paprika chicken and nailed it. Juiciest bird I've ever tasted. I'm hooked. Thanks for being the air fryer 👸🏻
I whipped up your bang bang chicken recipe yesterday and brought the leftovers to work today. My coworkers were so jealous at lunchtime. BTW... your taste testers are awesome!
You've inspired someone who's culinary challenged with poor eating habits to invest in a good air fryer and follow your lead. You really got me with the Reuben Sandwich. That was the final straw. I appreciate the honesty from your tasters. Not everyone is going to like everything. Keep the instructions coming. I'm learning alot. Appreciate it.
Sauerkraut is delicious on it's own. Squeeze out the brine and put it in a frying pan on med-low heat - dry out the kraut and then when it starts to slightly brown, add a bit of butter and melt it. Wonderful on its own and SUPER Healthy!
I really like that that you don't dirty dishes unnecessarily. Having no space for a dishwasher or not enough need for it, I go for not messing up when you don't have to.
I used to have a 4L cheap starter airfryer for 2 years but I asked for a cosori for my birthday this year and it’s a game changer I love it. The food cooks better and more quickly and clean up is easier.
Sauerkraut with dumplings and Polish sausage. Though I have to admit that I have never made it in the air fryer. If you don't want to make your own dumplings you can use readymade from the freezer section or even Spaetzle.
Just as a side note on the Reuben... You can drain the sauerkraut and squeeze it out a bit without harming the flavor. Makes the sandwich a little less drippy.
Cathy, Happy Birthday! Just got my New Cosori Pro 5.8 and found you on You Tube!! Thank you for all you do! I’m excited to start on my cooking journey 😊 hooked
We like to cook sauerkraut and pork chops. Rinse and drain the sauerkraut. Cook pork chops until about 2/3 done. Layer sauerkraut over the top of the pork chops and sprinkle with a light dusting of carraway seeds and pepper. Easy and tasty.
Katsu .. is Japanese for cutlet..It’s Japanese comfort food .most popular Pork Tonkatsu .. using pork cutlet which is panko breaded and fried..but it could be any meat.... and it’s usually served sauce.. or could just be over rice..Thank you much for these videos.. ..you have empowered me..
I came here for the Reuben! Thanks for the tip on cooking it at 350F for most of the time to melt the cheese, flip the sandwich, THEN UP the temp to 400F to get that lovely crispness! As for using the sauerkraut, there's a German community near us and their German sauerkraut salad is fantastic. I make it several times a year, but mostly around the holidays. It's very quick and super easy to make and best to make it ahead of time (like overnight) so the kraut can marinate in the sugar/vinegar "brine". Serve it cold. Also a great summertime picnic salad.
Thank you for all the nice en good video's! I have a question, when do I use the airfryer and when the roast program? I thought the program button roast is specificaly for meat.
Además de lo geniales que son tus recetas, ya he puesto en práctica algunas, te agradezco que puedo escucharlas en español. Son tan variadas las sugerencias que me asombra! Gracias!! ❤
I have been putting Sauerkraut on my hot dogs ever since the late 70's. That's when I went for the 1st time to Wienerschnitzel, where at the time, all they sold was hot dogs fixed with different added ingredients. I loved their "Kraut Dogs" and have been putting Sauerkraut on my hot dogs ever since!
Cathy thank you so much for your reviews. My Cosori dual blaze had a error come up that could not be repaired . The warranty is up but it is on sale and a new one has been ordered. I do enjoy the Instant Vortex also. Thanks again. PSLooking forward to more recipes.
😅 I loved your oops while making the chicken sauce/marinade. It happens to me all the time and like you, I roll with it. 🤗 Love that you keep it real. 😅
Make a chocolate sauerkraut cake. It's amazing and the sauerkraut tastes like coconut. 😋 Normally it's baked in a traditional oven but you could try baking it in the air fryer. That might be a fun video. 🥰
6:12 You can make a Dutch stamppot from the sauerkraut and some patatoes (+ bacon bits + bouillon). It's not my peronal favourite stamppot version, but it's okay and some people love it.
Olivia's look of anticipation at 15:00 is priceless! One of my daughters still gets that look when she's about to dig into something delectable, and she's a lot older. We don't eat bacon in our house, but I'm looking forward to trying out a variation on that tater tots casserole with a substitute.😋
I just made my first variation of the tater tots casserole! I substituted cut-up salami for the bacon, and since we also don't mix meat and dairy, I topped it with a mixture of corn flake crumbs, tomato sauce and dried French fried onions. I didn't mix up quite enough of the topping, so it looks more like a crumble than a casserole, but it smelled really nice while baking and tastes as good as it smells. I wanted to serve up something different at my wife's birthday lunch, and I think she will enjoy this.
Variant II of the BBQ tater tots casserole: This time, I used a 5oz can of chunk light tuna in place of the bacon, and since my wife doesn't like chopped onion, I used onion powder instead. Then, to make up for the missing vegetable matter, I poured in about 4 oz of frozen peas. Prepared the rest as directed, and since I used fish instead of meat this time, I could top it with cheese - I used a couple slices of mozzarella that I broke up into squares, and arranged them over the top, then turned the heat back on for 2 minutes to get a nice melt. I enjoyed it, and the wife didn't leave anything over on her plate, so that's a good sign. Or maybe she was just happy that I took the initiative to make dinner tonight so she didn't have to cook!😉I'm liking this dish a lot. It adapts well to whatever you have on hand (for example, no chickpeas or BBQ, no problem, it'd probably still come out well if you use a can of your favorite baked beans instead). It's so quick and easy that I had dinner on the table in under 20 minutes. And who'd have thought to do anything with tater tots other than bake 'em plain in the oven? Genius!
OK, I promise this will be my last comment on the BBQ tater tots casserole recipe, if only because I came up with a variant that I like the best, and it arguably makes me an even lazier cook! I simplified the recipe to a 5oz can of tuna, about half a can (7oz, give or take) of vegetarian baked beans (or you can just use a whole 15oz can of pork & beans and omit the tuna), about 4-5 oz frozen broccoli florets (because I didn't have any spinach) and the tater tots. No other spices, seasonings or ingredients necessary, because the canned baked beans have pretty much all of that already mixed in. Do everything else the way Cathy said and top with whatever cheese you like. I added a few extra minutes of cook time to get the tots crispier. I would've had my lunch on my plate in 20 minutes flat if a client hadn't called while I was mixing it, and it tastes fantastic.
Left-over sauerkraut? Squeeze the brine, reserving about half a cup. If your sauerkraut is too sour, rinse it with cold water and squeeze the water out, spread it on kitchen towel, pat dry. Open can of pineapple chunks, drain, reserving the juice. Cut the chunks ino smaller pieces, if you like. In a bowl, mix the pineapple with the sauerkraut. Make a dressing with parts of the brine, the pineapple juice, a tbsp of canola or avocado oil, salt and pepper to your liking. Chill in the fridge for a few hours. Serve with pork sausages (bratwurst) from your air fryer or the grill. It is a refreshing salad in hot summers.
the sauerkraut should have the water squeezed out before you put it on your sandwich, just take a hand full and squeeze it till the water runs out of it, keeps the bread from going soggy. Also I think they are usually open face sandwiches.
You should squeeze out the excess liquid in the sauerkraut before adding to your Reuben, so the sandwich won't drip so much. I love sauerkraut--it's good with smoked sausage or kielbasa. I can just eat it right out of the jar and my pet peeve is when people rinse it or add sugar to it. That means they really don't like the flavor of sauerkraut!
I'm only aware of the one from last year th-cam.com/video/3TSlO2QKDWg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QZ8GENgyZPZpEBoR - not seeing anything in a quick google search either. What is your source?

Hi Kathy!!! All the recipes do look yummy. Why dont you just tell us how many cups, tablespoons, etc...instead of weights of them. We have to look that all up.Most of us dont use scales.Anyways...Thanks for all these recipes...YUMS!!!...Great Video!!!...🦋
REUBENS??? Gotta go instacart real quick...BRB! PS. Sauerkraut is great with pork chops and mashed potatoes, or in an Oktoberfest one pot meal- kielbasa, apples, potatoes and sauerkraut. Delish! Ok off I go to order reuben supplies!
I encourage people to use their airfriers for more than frozen french fries and chicken nuggets. First reciepe: frozen french fries and marinated chicken. A bold step upwards :D
I like that you keep your boo-boo's in the video. And your kids, well, couldn't ask for better taste testers. And she doesn't like chic peas. Ok, I wasn't a fan of regular peas as a kid and mom actually went out of her way to try different ones to see if I liked any of them. I don't recall the answer, but these days, regular peas aren't a must-have, but if they are on the plate I'll eat them. I have a roll of parchment paper, but your bucket option looks like a real winner. I know that the Reuben by definition has Swiss Cheese, but as I really do not like that (as in I never eat the stuff), do you think if I don't call it by its official name, I could get away with using Pepper Jack or even Cheddar Cheese? The other 3 also look great.
I use the air fryer parchment under practically everything I cook in the air fryer since I’m a lazy cook and don’t want to do extra dishes…just be sure to put the food in all the corners by spreading it out…You’ll definitely know when you didn’t because it can fly up into the element and burn…it happened to me once but luckily I was standing right there and pulled the basket out to remove the slightly scorched liner…
Because it's Steinfeld's sauerkraut, I'd just dump it. Far too much in the way of mass- produced, and any real good flavor is gone. Try something like Bubbie's, and the do as @terrycarney2961 suggests - heaven! Believe it or not, using sauerkraut in tuna salad adds a nice acidic flavor to it - just don't go overboard. Back off the pickles a bit or use sweet relish, and add some kraut and chopped celery for a base tuna for a tuna melt - mmmmm good!

Same, my brother had given me an air fryer as a house warming gift and all I've been using is just versatile microwavable stuff
Love that!
Great recipes, I love how you never coach the kids to say what you want them to say...I love how honest they are!!!! Thanks for an enjoyable video!!!

Yeah, I had nothing for her with that request. But I like your idea. Thank you.
I keep a jar of sauerkraut in the fridge. Dip out about a 1/4 cup in the morning and eat it cold. So good.

You shared some very nice dishes with good sauce ideas that really added a nice touch to the meals.
Try roasting chick peas single layer at 400 with olive oil and seasonings till crunchy! Great tasting for kids and adults

What!!??!? This is crazy! I will have to check it out because I LOVE coconut!
That Reuben sandwich looked delicious. I haven't had a Reuben in years. Definitely going to have to add it to my meal rotation.
It's so good Pat!
Love our new Corsori Turbo Blaze. It’s quieter than our previous one and we like that. Oh, and it cleans ups so easily. Thank you for the advice.
You're welcome!
You could make perogies with the kraut. Also short ribs. Pork ribs are good in kraut!

I love zuurkool stamppot 😋 met stukjes spek erin en speklapjes ernaast🤤😋
I agree with your daughter about the chick peas. What else could I put in instead of chick peas as it looks yummy?
Cubed Chicken?
Leftover sauerkraut… fry up some ground beef put in casserole , top with sauerkraut then top with mashed potatoes put in oven to heat through.
Oh wow! fun idea! I'm making beef stroganoff with ground beef. I might put some on top of mine!
You can also use creamy Italian dressing instead of mayo
Sauerkraut is good with Bratwurst obviously, but it’s also good with mashed potatoes!!
Really appreciate the metric conversions! ❤️💛💜🩵
Use it on hot dogs had it in german pub on the hot dog tasted great
Sourkraut is great with sausages or hot dogs. It is also good to use in kraut burgers, in lue of cabbage.
Chicken Katsu recipe. How long to cook after turning the chicken over? Temp, time? Thank you.
With sauerkraut. if you drink alcohol I cook the kraut in a sweet white wine and cook that with kielbasa. Soo good!

My ninja air fryer wont go 380 degrees. Mind does from 375 to 390. Which one should i put i would love to make the katsu chicken.
I'd start at 375 and then bump it up to 390 at the end to get it nice and crispy. :)
