As an Assamese who is familiar with the local Naga cuisine, this series has been an eye opener that has filled in a lot of blanks. Thank you! I still haven't developed a taste for akhuni (fermented soya beans) even though my Ao sister in law has tried hard, but the rest is fantastic, especially the pork, chicken, fish. Very popular here. BTW, that is a kitchen that we should try to replicate here in Assam. It's really how things were before we got "civilized".

I'm missing my home town when I see those authentic Naga food cook in fire looks super delicious . One thing she miss out to cook for him simple Vegetble boil with little salt as a non naga everyone cnt eat those eggplant and bitter gord sabzi. When i was studying in westbengal,few friends of mine were shocked to hear Bengali,Nepali,Muslim,is also a habitant of Nagaland!😭🤣 They thought only the naga stays in Nagaland,and the way they described Nagaland was kinda sad and funny too. So grateful and glad for your videos on Nagaland.

I lived in Nagaland for more than half of my life. Mixed experience everywhere. They normally don't like outsiders and normally see them as a threat but they are honest people. Coming to their food again - some exotic recipes, I dread but I love their pork boil with bamboo shoots and local rice.
