Everything about this trip just made it an all time best ever. The amazing scenery, phenomenal natural beauty, the sheer unknown of what could be on the line next. A 2lb fish or a 10ft fish? Being able to do something I have been dreaming about for over 20 years and best of all, doing it with my family. Amazing. 💙
Blessed family……James catching and landing that fish, will live with him forever….he’s gonna be so knowledgeable in a few years…..he knows a lot now 💯👍❤️
What a great time for you all...Almost felt like I was there with you...Brilliant video and thanks for the great entertainment. Your boy James is a credit to you both...can't wait for my boy to be able to get into it like James...he's only 3.5 so he's not quite getting it yet...all the best to you...
BC is a Beautifull place ! Enjoy and send some more videos of the scenery .. Was begining to wonder who would get tired first, you all or the Sturgeon Beast 🙂
Incredible wow, when Mrs fishlocker started on that monster with the sound of the train horn, and the cheers as the fish jumped, and James catching his own dinosaur, what a fantastic skipper who was as excited as you to see you catch a legendary monster of the deep. I know I've written wow before, but wow, that was amazing. Thanks again for taking us on your amazing adventure.
The amazement in James' voice, when that little pike-minnow took the whole floater under the water~😅 I think today he learned that it's not always about the size of the fish in the fight, but the size of the fight in your fish!😂🎣🐟 It looks like you guys had a blast and a half! after a 9-foot, 400+ pound fish, no wonder you're beat! 😂
I can tell buy the smile on your face that you might have enjoyed that. What a day one you will never forgets to have youre family with you and all catching fish brilliant got to be one of you're best
John ,i have watched you from day one , this is the best video you have ever made end of ,amazing all round ,even i as a Yorkie am lost for words ,Thank You for posting
It is our pleasure mate. The trip and the fishing was out of this world. The fact I got to do it with Hannah and James was just the icing on the cake. 💙🎣
When i didn't think it could get any better and you up load this!!!!!! Flipinheck mate its just unreal to wach let a lone being there and doing it!!!. Fantastic mate a trip of a lifetime and james will remember for ever. Great stull tight lines 🎣🎣🎣
The trip and fish of a lifetime John, when you were in the water with that 9 foot plus lump i just knew how you felt its such an incredible feeling and it takes time to take it all in. Best bit of viewing i have seen for years absolutely fantastic. Follow that.
You know, I haven't been fishing since I was a young fry (yes, gratuitous fish joke intended 🐟), but watching your videos makes me relive the Dad-and-Young-Daughter fishing trips with so much nostalgic fondness. Lost Dad in 2020 😪, and no longer fish, myself, but I do watch every one of your videos and just smile from being allowed to share in your family's joys, celebrations, achievements ... and cooking! If I wasn't at the age I am, I'd be relocating to England and begging to be adopted! Many warm thanks and hugs. And hug James for me, as well. He rocks, as always. ❤
All those months of pulling up lobby pots to build up your muscles so you could handle that monster paid off! 😂 Fantastic memories for all of you! Thank you for sharing it with us!
OMG, I've driven 3 round trips to home in Alaska. Had I known there were sturgeon in the Frazer, I would have found a dog sitter and booked a guide for me. I have been after that fish since about 1958 or 1959 on the Carquinez Straits near San Francisco. Thank you so much for the wonderful trip. Great job James and Hannah.
Absolutely stunning scenery, and them fish are something else. Lived the train tooting it's horn on the way through. That dual effort monster was something else. 😮
Just WOW, brilliant to see the beautiful view . well done James the new fish locker for the future. Thank you so much for showing a very interesting and learning vlog. keep up the good work. Sandra 🎣🎣🎣🎣
wow wow wow dont normally watch your out of uk vlogs but this was fantastic, love the bit towards the end . when you said its only a baby,( about 4ft) great vidio, and the one james court was nearly bigger than him.
@@TheFishLocker Depends a lot on conditions. Generally vis is best in the winter with summer of course experiencing heavy algae blooms that can really knock vis down below 10 ft but also very heavy sustained rainfall during winter can cause lots of sediment in the Strait and poor vis. But in good conditions visibility of 20-50 ft is more typical. So much invertebrate life including lots of soft corals.
Wow what a stunning location just to be on holiday let alone fishing in that environment. An experience james will never forget and be able to brag at home.
What an absolute pleasure to watch your family enjoying fishing and making wonderful memories, Reminds me of my childhood when my father would take me out fishing. give a man a fish he will eat for the day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a life time was one of my favourite sayings to hear as a small child, It makes me truly happy to see parents taking the time to teach their children how to fish. All the best Marko from Moreton Bay Queensland Australia
Hey Hannah, CONGRATS on once again catching the biggest fish two fishing days in a row, 2-0 for the CROWN, the WINNER and also for the biggest fish caught on this whole trip!! And James, taking the trophy for 3 different fish species!, well done James! So enjoyed this posting John and enjoyed spending the time with you and the family! As others have said, you were within a days drive of where I live, Idaho. I now have another reason to visit the Frasier River besides rock hunting, 2 of my favorite hobbies in one place! So glad you and the family enjoyed this part of Mother Earth. Come back again! My blessings on your return trip home.
Thank you for taking me home. I grew up a stones throw from the Fraser River and even though I live in Colorado now I tell people nothing beats the views you can see in British Columbia. Fyi the largest sturgeon caught in the Fraser River was 11ft and 1,100 pounds so your 9 1/2 footer wasn’t to far off.
so awesome that you got to visit beautiful BC and smack in a great sturgeon bite. Fishing is fishing John no matter where, and believe me your timing for this trip was absolutely perfect. What fantastic memories you will all have. And the best part of it all, you brought all us viewers along for the ride. I just Love it.
What an adventure. And how fortunate that the whole family likes to participate, Hannah is a gem. And James is great - the level of his interest and enthusiasm is testimony of his upbringing and bodes well for his future.
Fantastic Video... And lovely to see that your smile got bigger and bigger as the session progressed.. 😀😀😀 Great to see Hannah and James having a fantastic time too...😀😀
Superb , man, what a lifetime experience for all of you, nice , very nice , thanks for tagging us along that's some amazing sights . Beautiful. I Knew these things pulled like a train but i didn't know the call of the sturgeon was like a Canadian Pacific locomotive
Such incredible prehistoric creatures, unbelievable scenery. Amazing footage, a day you'll never forget. After two bream on the Leeds Liverpool canal at the weekend, I'm looking up the emigration forms now.

That sling is a superb piece of kit for those living dinosaurs.... majestic place.. What an absolute treat, well done Hannah, James & John, kudos to the skipper, I watched him looking for danger all the time with the monster Sturgeon. Thank you so much, greetings from Cyprus. 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
Wow1! What an amazing video. Gosh those Sturgeon certainly can grow very large, I thought Hannah was going to go for an enforced swim with that first one she was fighting. I think it was just as well that you took over with that one John. What a thrill for James too being involved with catching fish like that. Cheers, Don from South Aust.
I'm an avid viewer of your channel which has provided me with hours of instruction and enjoyment, and so I was very pleased to watch you fish in my back yard. Though I have never had the opportunity to fish for those dinosaurs I can attest to the thrill of fishing for salmon on the Fraser River or some of the many miles of BC's coast. We hope you come back and film some more. Best regards, Alan Cumberbirch
