Super like. I heard the major failure of these pumps is soldering in the board. Upgrading the heat sink to 60/40 seems like a great idea that could not be viable for mass production but would advantageous for performance and biofuel applications. Thank you!

i guess youre right the mai issue with these is infact the heat dissipation not beeing enough.
some people actually extend the transistor to out side of the pump and use an external heatsink

mate, great video and you have a really calming voice lol.. BUT.. it's orientated the wrong way round! We paid it with our last money and now we're in a very bad situation. I have a pump that I bought from scrap, without coding, I have connected it to the car, and I contacted, to see if the voltage reached the flow valve, but no voltage arrived. So I don't know if it is because it is not encoded, or it is also broken.

The base of the transistor is a heat sink so it must be soldered to the chassis of the pump for over heating prevention.
Also i had the same issue with a few defective transistors.
But it could be some short circuit in you pump itself.

Nice explanation but you could have had the camera at better angle

I will try, but the thing is that if get a better angle for the camera its hard for me to see the work iam doing.
But you are right i will get a better angle

I have a problem with my Ford Focus TDDI 1.8 66kw. After some time of driving (30min) it "slows down". It cant acceleration as before. In diagnostic it says something about bosch pump error, so is it possible to fix it like you show in video by replacing transistor only?

      @PSICompanyPerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

It could be another issue but the most common problem in these is this one

The irl2905 or 3110 cost around 2 or 3 euros but the main issue is to solder it in place.
Please watch the video carefully, all the info and procedure is there.

I used 3110z, but my focus is slower like before i replace the mosfet...i don't think so the 3110 is the best choice (escuse my english) 🤣

Maybe edit the video showing the contacts on the pump PCB and witch transistors legs go said points

I will do it as you said.
On the first week of january as soon as i get back to my shop i will.

Today I inserted a 12V 55W bulb, and when I start it, it blinks and the voltage fluctuates between 12.6V and 7.9V. But I don’t understand why the valve does not work when the valve is connected. Maybe a transistor? although if it was a transistor it shouldn't have blinked one light, right?
On the other hand, when I connect the valve together with the bulb, there the bulb no longer blinks if I start. IF I disconnect the solenoid and leave only the bulb, it does blink. This could be that the transistor is without power perhaps?

The light and the valve have diferent current draw...meanning that you can turn the light on but not have enough current to open the valve...
This transistor works as a voltage regulator.

@@PSICompanyPerformance Yes, it seems that it lacks power because with the valve connected, the voltage drops to 1 and a little, on the other hand, with the light bulb it makes it blink and it stays at 7v and something. It looks like the mosfet that is dying again. The module was repaired in 2018.
