Check out our GUNSLINGER Build -> th-cam.com/video/2dtmyUqPS5c/w-d-xo.html AND CAREFUL with those basement containers in the lodge. A mod author left a comment saying they tested it & that they reset after 168 in game hours. Apparently ONLY the safe in your room in the Lodge and your ship cargo are currently confirmed as safe storage. Will test my self but want to put this up here now!
Yeah, the reset thing was what I was going to warn about, since I've already had the Lodge reset, and the safe is safe, but I don't know about ther boxes in the basement. Followers equipment-wise, the Chameleon equipment doesn't work on them, at least as far as I could tell.
Found a cool easter egg in Starfield. During the prison mission with Delgado there is a list of prisoners in the high security/dangerous section. Delvin Mallory has his name on the list
The companion space suit not showing in bases is actually a feature, not a bug. If you go into your character menu under the armor section there's an option to hide your own spacesuit in breathable atmospheres. Basically it's a rp feature for if you're getting tired of the same suit look all the time. Under the helmet menu there's also an option to hide just the helmet in breathable atmospheres.
I love that you can land on a planet, clear every marker on your map that appears when you first look through your scanner, and then just keep going and find half a dozen more locations that were unmarked.
I just figured out something very handy: if you’re on a planet, inside your ship, and if you have a navigation console, you can bypass load screens and take off/landing cutscenes when you want to travel to another planet by using the navigation console. Just interact with it and select your destination and landing spot, and it will just instantly fast travel you there basically. I was on Bessell 3 and wanted to go to my outpost on Vega 1B, so I enter my ship, go up to the bridge and select Vega 1B outpost as my destination on the navigation console (mine is in the giant bridge/command deck/cockpit from Deimos) and after a 3-4 second load screen I’m standing in my outpost.
I was so excited to see FudgeMuppet doing starfield coverage. Yall got me from oblivion days and I'm so excited for this new adventure. Love your builds. I've been so excited for this game and it hasn't disappointed.
This is going to be my go-to channel for Starfield. I'm so glad that you guys love this game as much as I do because that means we have so many videos to look forward to as we all discover more and more about this amazing game.
Some of us mod authors have been testing and we've confirmed that the 6 containers in the basement of the Lodge with infinite storage, as well as the Captain's Lockers and all other containers besides the hold added by hab modules on any ships you own, all have the respawn flag set and will trigger a reset with the iHoursToRespawnCell. So if you have stuff stored in any of these containers, then when you load into it after the 168hr in game default it will be reset. You will lose all items stored in those containers. ONLY the safe in your room in the Lodge and your ships' Cargo Holds are confirmed as safe storage in this game at this point.
I figured as such, I knew those places weren’t safe. As far as I know, even the containers in the armory in any ship also have the reset thing, hence why people lose their guns after some time.
Have you seen anything that pertains to project tracking markers? Seems like completing a research project without untracking leaves that blue magnifying glass on the items forever.
On my current playthrough, I sided with the uce at the start, and SysDef approached me to be an undercover agent investigating the Crimson Fleet. So now before finishing out that mission I can go to any Crimson Fleet base and they will be non aggressive, and I can walk around and clean out all their guns and credits.
@@tanukisecondary3371 Yes that's what a NG+ system is, correct. But that has nothing to do with @DeathBySeksy's comment - I think you've accidentally replied to the wrong person?
I was thinking of a bounty hunter build that really likes to take care of their equipment and really like spending and getting money. They'd join the UC and pick the options alluding to you only being there for money, maybe even set the game to very easy so you can pass stage 6 on the exam as it'd make sense for a bounty hunter who's experienced in flying and combat. During quests, if theres an option to pay to advance the quest in nonviolent ways or convenient ways, they will always do it, but optional objectives that reward much higher will take the priority They take crafting perks, take care of their gear and use the boost pack upgrades to fly around and shoot people and blow them up, jango fett style.
That is what I am doing. Mostly. Because I knew that as a player who has not played any space combat games, I was going to have trouble learning these 3D skills. SO I created aa character who had them. And turned down the difficulty.
if you have a high enough hacking skill you can hack the comsputer in the flight sim to give you extra bonuses and allies to help you reach the max rank
@@thatoneguy11fulYou actually don't need hacking skills. The debug option is already there. Then again I did have 1 point in Security so I'm happy to be wrong.
Sprinting while over encumbered wont kill you just brings your health down into the red, also any light blue options in the persuasion minigames will work 100% of the time, they normally come from skills or optional obj's in a mission
I started a bounty hunter but a few hours in rerolled and made a xenobiologist, wrote him a solid back story and treated myself to a so far insane first playthrough with some RPing. The thing is, my xenobiologist is more interested in the world and what makes it tick, so exploration and research and maybe grabbing that nice janitor a cup of coffee in my spare time didn't feel like something my bounty hunter would do, but my ex-military xenobiologist is much more chilled and can hold his own in battle too. I'll paste the backstory below if anyone wants to try something like that and doesn't know where to begin 😊
Xenobiologist Former UC Xenowarfare Researcher Preacher was raised among House Va'Ruun, however, as a teenager, lost contact with his people during a raid gone wrong. He was rescued by the UC Marines, dehydrated and delirious from exhaustion, but safe. Once debriefed, he was reeducated and raised as a farmhand for a small settlement at the outskirts of UC space. His fanatical religious upbringing among the Va'Ruun led to him often launching into nonsensical monologues of the Great Serpent which earned him the nickname Preacher among his fellow settlers, as well as a reputation for having a few screws loose. As conflict spread throughout the settled systems, a recruitment drive led him to sign up with the UC Navy to train as a pilot, but he soon displayed unmatched intellectual prowess among his peers. One of his officers realized his potential and arranged that the UC sponsor his further education. A keen interest and affiliation with alien lifeforms and his prior farming experience led him to study Xenobiology and he excelled in all of his classes, soon after graduation he was posted to a remote location as a junior researcher, involved with a covert branch of the UC Xenowarfare program. His team was working on research to enhance the physical prowess of field operatives using modified alien gene samples. However, as soon as they made a key breakthrough, and with the end of the war in sight, they received word that the Xenowarfare program would be shut down. While not ready for human trials, Preacher's curiosity got the best of him and he took the decision to test the sample on himself. Nearly dying from the experiment, the program's specialized medical team got him stabilized and he made a swift recovery, with no obvious physiological changes. However, his supervisors were not impressed by his actions and the damage it would cause if word of the experiment got out. Soon after, he was banished from the program. All records of his service with the UC, and his memory were erased. Having nowhere to go he tried his hand at odd jobs throughout the settled systems, barely scraping by until finally landing a promising contract with Argos mining. On his first mission he discovered a strange artifact and as he touched it a vision errupted through his mind. Waking up he discovered some of his memories slowly returning, fragmented but intact. He now set's out to aid constellation but he also hopes to use them to find and reconcile with House Va'Ruun along the way.
I feel like I have to finish it before I can really say how good it is but I can at least definitely recommend that you pick it up, I’ve probably put at least 30 hours into it so far and it’s very very good based on that.
I am 100 hours in, and I have a few gripes with the game, but overall, I don't think you'll regret spending the money. It takes a few hours to get going, though so be patient
It's far from perfect. But I found it quite appealing, although I see a ton of room for improvement. Some things were even dumbed down from Fallout 4 (gun parts/gun customization). I'd say it's around 7/10, if you liked Fallout 4, you'll like this
Solution to unarmed problem , make space suits that are developed for space boxing. The suits come with viable space. Knuckle dusters, and jetpacks that want you forward or in an uppercut motion instead of into the air
Just a quick tip, followers work the same as in Fo4 in terms of consumption. Just give them 1 ammo for the weapon they use. Also, give them a single grenade and equip it on them. Just don't give them the schrapnel grenade. I had to learn that the hard way.
For training piloting skill, if you also want to get mats and exp while leveling a great system is Serpantis. Nearly every planet I went to had 2-3 va'runn ships jump in after 10s or so. You can also go to Kryx and clear out the eye ships (usually about 8-10).
Boys I’ve always used your build and watched your videos ever since Skyrim and fallouts, keep the builds and thing you’ve might have missed out vids going they’re so useful
When loading out followers you can give them weapons, 1 ammo for that weapon, throwable weapons (Don't give Sarah grenades, they tend to bounce back at us), and even clothing. After giving the item to them you go into their inventory and "Equip" the item using the button shown at bottom of the screen.
In regards to 8:50 ish, when you said companions don't seem that effective in combat. I don't know if I have a different experience, but they often at times are too effective, gunning down enemies before I can even get a shot off on them (losing out on xp) or stealing my kill, that I need to level up perks. Obviously I'd rather they were like this than just a wet noodle bullet sponge, but I do find myself in more danger as I essentially race my companion for kills. (this is them with the basic laser rifle, the one beginning with E, equinox or something)
For me, without a doubt, Starfield has scratched an itch that I’ve been trying to get at for maybe my entire life. At 45 years old, I can finally feel like I’m actually traveling the stars, the dream I always keep to myself, the dream I can never stop thinking about when I close my eyes at night… this is the closest I’ve ever come to the real thing. I just can’t wait to see what the modding community does with this, but personally I’ll just need one that lets me emote and one with an immersive HUD. I’m good with the rest as it is 😊
Epic show as ussual❤ I myself found a derelict ship floating in a asteroid field. Inside was a dead man and a story that touched the soft spot... just special
You can set your space suit to hide it in certain areas so you can rock your outfit without losing the perks of your spacesuit. Same with the helmet. All from the helmet and space suits menu at the bottom. Believe it's RB on console.
Companions have their spacesuits and helmets defaulted to hide when in habitable environments. You can do that for your character too in the inventory menu.
For the simulator at mast there is also a consile in the simulator that allows you to make your ship a bit stronger and add another ahip to help you, normally it only lasts one round, but you can 'hack' it to make the upgrades and ftiemdly ship stay.
Your companions can see different weapon performance because they have different skills. If you give one a pistol and they are invested in rifles, I could see that making them less effective.
The lack of level cap works for leveling in starfield. You may wish to level up a certain skill but need more skill points in the category first, but before you can get that upgrade, you just leveled up and have a different skill ready to be unlocked. The ability to keep leveling up and keep accumulating skills keeps the player invested in the game.
Your background can appear as a dialog option as well. Im a bounty hunter and was able to convince a guy to leave an npc alone, when he had a bounty on her.
If you dont like the simulator you can go too serpentis system, theres ships at least every other planet, and yes you can do this in frontier at lvl 1 if you load out disruptor 3300s, they have a 4k range and never run out of power, make all 3 wpn slots 4 of these, dont even need shields, just boost away too 5 k range and turn and kill everything
Btw. you can run overcumbered just fine. Yes, you will take damage. But you will not die. So it's perfectly fine to carry the haul back after the mission, and then sleep onboard.
If you’re having trouble doing the fitness challenges. Go to new atlantas and fill your inventory with as much stuff as possible in front of the nat station. Sprint for half a second then take the nat. Your 02 is instantly refilled and you can drain your 02 near instantly. I found the challenges for fitness to be annoying while exploring.
Alright some early game stuff Fudge missed. On the Xbox launcher console commands flag your save. On the Steam version as long as you aren't doing TGM it does not. Removing and adding skills to make a custom class. Tested adding XP, Ammo, Disabled vosco and unlocked doors. Doesn't flag save file. Also there's a boost pack you can get right after character creation... By level 2 you can have the highest raw DR space suit in the game. Free. The cutter benefits from lasers and heavy guns and is actually one of the best weapons in the game. I could keep going and going...
You only need to give companions 1 bullet. They have unlimited ammo so no point in giving them more than 1. I've also heard that when you give them armor and equip them with it, they always have it on but it shows off when in a city and when the environment doesn't require it, but they do always have the effects and benefits of whatever armor they have.
I dont kno how many people kno about this but one of the starborn powers is a “personal atmosphere” where for a few seconds you can run without using up O2
It's not a bug with companions they have a setting that hides their space suit in breathable areas. They are always wearing it just like with your helmet being hidden it works the same. Only the suit itself is able to be hidden in any breathable area and not just settlements.
Its deception that irritates me. Sure if im a pirate its fine, but it feels lame to become a better smuggler I have to be a pirate. With concealment sneak up on various tiny bug creatures seems to work. The scavenger ones.
Having used real world military training simulators, I give two thumbs up to the game letting it happen as well. It doesn’t feel cheat-ey to me at all. Now I have to make a character where that option fits in.
Gonna equip my adoring fan like an unstoppable juggernaut, lol. He's a good kid with a lot of potential, and I'm going to need someone to take over my empire when I go.
In Oblivion I would take over one of the houses and use the containers to store my stuff. The containers reset, so you could lose it all...but I would just make a save after putting things in it so if my stuff did disappear I could just load that save, remove everything and then put it all back and save again after the reset. Then I bought some DLC and didn't have to worry about it anymore, lol. So if you don't feel like a container is safe...SAVE!
I think they should change the ship stealing stuff a bit... I feel like you're a pirate on the key you shouldn't have to register it to sell you should have an option where you get like 30% of the value if you just let them scrap it for parts or something!!
I thought that the social skills were only for manipulating enemies! Still on my first play through doing all the quests but I think my NG+ will invest in my social skill checks now. EPIC, good change Bethesda. Now how about those descriptions. 👀
I have a genuine question about using your ships, I feel like I never use mine and being that there is so much emphasis on ships in the skills and customization and such I feel like I’m missing something. When I get a new mission, I just “view on map” and then travel to it, once I am there, I click on the planet and view planet map, then land, then repeat. If I’m exploring it’s always on a planet or moon, what am I missing??
my biggest complaint is a game breaking bug that is consistent. If you steal a ship and dock it at the den, register it and sell it, when you get back into you old ship you will teleport to new Atlantis and the geometry of the game will break, the ground disappears and the terminals for selling and missions disappear forever as far as I know, I found no way to fix this and lost 7 hours to go back to a save.
I haven't finished the video yet so if this is mentioned, just ignore me. Did you know you can avoid the negative impact of being encumbered by drinking 5 water items? Each reduces O2 cost by 20% and drinking 5 is enough to walk back to your ship without taking damage
It’s my first player game habit to restart once I’ve got a feel for the controls. I’ve restarted twice honestly though the first restart was so I could get the sweet NASA coffee mug. 😅
The number one thing I must know, more than the knowledge of the dead sea scolls, the Library of Alexandia, or the hidden library of the Vatican is....Do you have to pay money to paint your ship red like in Star Citizen?
you can avoid to get the modded status and lose achievements when using console on pc. Just add anything via console and when you are done, dont save game, but delete the console logfile in the documents/my games/starfield folder first. Then you can save your game.
Just delete your console-command log in Documents/ MyGames/ Starfield. That will revert your modded save back to normal. You can also set the log to read only and try that. Dont know if it works. Its better to use this just incase you have to use conaole commands to maybe get your character unatuck or if there is a bug
Thank you i was looking around for an answer if the other social skills actually added anything to dialogue options, as theyre not explicit about it in the decription.
It's not jusr skills that give more options when talking, at least the empath trait does, it's come up a few times, not sure how much of a difference it makes, but it adds a couple other lines of dialogue.
I'm finding xp gain, skill point gain, and levelling up to be a bit tight arsed. I'm several hours in and finding the wait to get another skill point to be unenjoyable. I wish there were more ways to get extra skill points like in other games that I could pursue, other ways to work to earn more skills points other than just waiting to level up.

I myself found a derelict ship floating in a asteroid field. Inside was a dead man and a story that touched the soft spot... just special
I think the space suit thing is depending on the planet, if they don't "Need" it then they will default to the regular outfit you can give them
It's exactly this, you can even set your own space suit to do the same thing
You can set your space suit to hide it in certain areas so you can rock your outfit without losing the perks of your spacesuit. Same with the helmet. All from the helmet and space suits menu at the bottom. Believe it's RB on console.
Companions have their spacesuits and helmets defaulted to hide when in habitable environments. You can do that for your character too in the inventory menu.
One great tip is if your personal mass is full you can use the vendor chests glitch to store items and the Items will always be there.💯
For an unarmed build you could just shoot them until they get low and then finish them off with your melee weapon or fists to level your skills up
btw if you wanna play unarmed, then you can get mods that tweak the unarmed dammage so its viable
That may have been the best Informative video for Starfield, too date.
my boi michael
For the simulator at mast there is also a consile in the simulator that allows you to make your ship a bit stronger and add another ahip to help you, normally it only lasts one round, but you can 'hack' it to make the upgrades and ftiemdly ship stay.
I cant wait for the lore videos on this game man
Your companions can see different weapon performance because they have different skills. If you give one a pistol and they are invested in rifles, I could see that making them less effective.
You can use a melee power attack by clicking the right stick in or whatever the key is to use the gun bashing.
Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet, but similar to other BGS games, holding the interact button allows you to move objects.
I said "damn thats super helpful!" So many times during this vid lmao. Thanks man! That ship register tip will turn my game around!
Your background can appear as a dialog option as well. Im a bounty hunter and was able to convince a guy to leave an npc alone, when he had a bounty on her.
When a new Bethesda games comes out we can count on summoning of fudgemuppet and I'm here for it
Also companions do wear whatever spacesuit you give them...just in places they need it just as your charachter does.
My Sarah just had a microgun (minigun) from one of my first missions. Top tier gun. Early game, level 6 or so. Never been a problem haha
Star field should implement the ability to build space outposts
Alright some early game stuff Fudge missed. On the Xbox launcher console commands flag your save. On the Steam version as long as you aren't doing TGM it does not. Removing and adding skills to make a custom class. Tested adding XP, Ammo, Disabled vosco and unlocked doors. Doesn't flag save file. Also there's a boost pack you can get right after character creation... By level 2 you can have the highest raw DR space suit in the game. Free. The cutter benefits from lasers and heavy guns and is actually one of the best weapons in the game. I could keep going and going...
Man those upgrade benches in The Lodge really help!
Jesus! You guys are fast. Am still in New Atlantis hanging out at the coffee bar.
It's not a bug with companions they have a setting that hides their space suit in breathable areas. They are always wearing it just like with your helmet being hidden it works the same. Only the suit itself is able to be hidden in any breathable area and not just settlements.
Companions have specific weapon proficiencies just like the character! You can see if when you talk to them in the lodge
Ranking up concealment is a pain through normal gameplay.
My tip here includes a Faction Spoiler!!!!
If you want manipulation for free (rank 1), play the ryuujin questline.
Was attacked by by merca on the moon had a crazy shootout 10/10 and my dads left me a wholesome note
Gonna equip my adoring fan like an unstoppable juggernaut, lol. He's a good kid with a lot of potential, and I'm going to need someone to take over my empire when I go.
The 8 little words every girl want hear...
My Name Is Michael And Welcome To Fudgemuppet
Fitness is preem at max rank, & it's easy to rank up if you play overencumbered.
Btw, for your companions only give them 1 of whatever ammo they need, no need for any more than that it'll never run out
Bro thank you for this one. I’m struggling with my hoarding addiction right now and running out of room lol
I think they should change the ship stealing stuff a bit... I feel like you're a pirate on the key you shouldn't have to register it to sell you should have an option where you get like 30% of the value if you just let them scrap it for parts or something!!
I think u just need register to upgrade and change it
I sold a ship without registered
Good stuff 😎👍
More starfield content!!! I love yours ❤❤
my biggest complaint is a game breaking bug that is consistent.
I have stopped stealing ships for fear of this. It’s more profitable to raid the vultures den.
I’m so grateful for starfield it finally made me get back into no man sky and oh my the difference in freedom, quality and content is staggering
I haven't finished the video yet so if this is mentioned, just ignore me.
Did you know you can avoid the negative impact of being encumbered by drinking 5 water items? Each reduces O2 cost by 20% and drinking 5 is enough to walk back to your ship without taking damage
You didn’t see equipped space suits because companions by default hide helmet/spacesuits when in colonies/in places with atmos
My sadness is immense and I can’t stop wishing I could play this.
Cheating in a single player game doesn't matter. What matters is having fun.
Woahhhh unlimited storage in the basement just blew my mind 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
It’s my first player game habit to restart once I’ve got a feel for the controls. I’ve restarted twice honestly though the first restart was so I could get the sweet NASA coffee mug. 😅
Fudgemuppet: the Columbo of Starfield. "And that's what you need! But uh, just one more thing!" Nine more in this case
Companions take off space suits when inside or a planet where it's not required for survival
1:30 - All of us will be that level before Elder Scrolls 6 releases.
Thank you i was looking around for an answer if the other social skills actually added anything to dialogue options, as theyre not explicit about it in the decription.
Thank you for the blueprints to funding my journey as the vigilante known only as The Mantis 😂
It's not jusr skills that give more options when talking, at least the empath trait does, it's come up a few times, not sure how much of a difference it makes, but it adds a couple other lines of dialogue.
Just keep making these spoiler free vids until Christmas lol
I'm finding xp gain, skill point gain, and levelling up to be a bit tight arsed. I'm several hours in and finding the wait to get another skill point to be unenjoyable. I wish there were more ways to get extra skill points like in other games that I could pursue, other ways to work to earn more skills points other than just waiting to level up.
