Now THIS is what the Dead by Daylight board game should have looked like! 😍 I hope the gameplay matches the level of production as this one could be amazing. Also hope they add a solo automa for the killers and survivors - that would be an all in from me. 🤞
Part of the reason why the DBD board game didn’t go all out on kickstarter production was because it was suppose to already be in the oven and ready to ship. They wanted it to be affordable at retail and not have retail buyers feel like they missed out. Obviously it’s been 6 months since the delivery date, but that’s why it’s not as pretty. The production also went into the unique killers,perks, and maps in the game, which DBD has quite a few more than this even in the base set. This is a cool hidden movement game tho, love the theme, and it does look nice
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the connection to horror movie directors (Hooper, Scott, Kubrick)...well, except one ("Carven") that probably had to be altered so his estate didn't sue... 😅
Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial, I backed this and have finished painting all the mini's and going to have a game tonight (Christmas eve), some people asked for retail, but there was no retail pledge, so I guess this wont be going to retail, however I bought the core box and then wanted the deluxe stuff and IceMakes said that even though they only produced just the right amounts later next year they have something special planned for Terrorscape, which will probably mean people who missed out on backing this can do so later. Have to say that the game itself with the expansions was not expensive at all, and the campaign was one of the best, if not the best I have backed, shipping was a little wonky, but that was down to communication and not the shipping itself, saying that if you messaged them they would give you an update on shipping pretty pronto, but they could have done this with a two weekly update and saved themselves a lot of hassle. The production level of this game is brilliant, the minis more comparable with Zombicide 1st edtion, but everything does what it should do. I am very happy with what I have, and will try the game today, I think most if not all backers who have their stuff must be really happy with it, as I have not seen a single one for sale in the groups.
@@mchamberlain7408 Yes, my sons and I have played this 6 times using the Butcher Specter Mu rde rer the plant monster The werewolf. We will try the other monsters at some point, the game I would say is very good to play, the rules aren't too taxing, it seem's balanced well, but I think this depends on the skill of the player/s and how the game plays out, take too long and dither the monster will finish you off quickly if it has leveled right up, play smart and it can be easy to thwart the monster. I would highly recommend Terrorscape, I think it has gone down very well with the backers who have received it as I have not seen very many on the second hand market, compared to other games. Its definitely a thumbs up from my house, and is requested a lot from my son's when we decided to play a board game.
This looks fun but I do have a few quirks with it. The survivors knowing where the killer is kinds spoils the fun no? The idea behind a terror movie or a horror story is that the victims do not know where the killer is. That sense of impending doom without knowing where or what is after you is what makes the horror genre so much fun. I wish they had implemented a way to flip the table where the victims don't know where the killer is. Maybe even the killer doesn't know where the victims are? I really like Escape the Aliens from Outer Space for this kinda thing. Perfect horror vibes with that game. Even Jaws is a great game at that.
Some of the killers actually have a stealth mechanic in their deck. It let's them vanish from the survivors side of the board and they don't reappear until the killers next turn.
Just for anyone watching and are confused because you been playing the game as of 2024, the rules are not the same and have changed. The killer does not ever draw any cards EXCEPT at the end of his turn (3 cards only) AND at the start of their turn (2 CARDS).
