It's because newer generation wouldn't glorify or hype actors as much. I like this concept. I believe there are actors whose works i can rewatch and not get tired because they're excellent and I'd admire and appreciate their work, but not their literal existence. The hype around celebrities and Bollywood is coming to an end and I like it. (My favourite actors overall being Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Tripti Dimri, Jim Sarbh, Pankaj Tripathi, Arshad Warsi, Nana Patekar, Manoj Bajpayee and many such jewels who aren't as hyped as 'stars', which is fine to me.)
Yes because in this generation more than talent there is nepotism... if bollywood will be fair and real talent is promoted ofcourse there will be a superstar....
And one of the major aspects to be followed for that is the audience's liking for that actor, if a right actor is promoted for his/her talent then no director/producer can stop him (yes the actor also has a responsibility somewhere to choose a good script, etc. But that is a different topic altogether)
Cos the lifestyle gap between so called stars and others has diminished. And people have become smart not to fall in traps and worship these humans. That’s why this is happening
If Shah rukh khan was a superstar , why Swedes failed ? If Hrithik was Superstar , why Lakshya Failed ? Also , a movie like 'Happy new year' or 'Prem ratan dhan payo' shows that Superstar concept needs to die as well to stop BS movies.

@@anjalibadke8705 do u have brain? any heroine or normal lady replaced esha deol in Dhoom ,it will still have same box office
Stardom means having die hard fan in large numbers which glorifys u and buy every movie ticket to watch their stars on screen . So sridevi had such fans in pan india.
Don't rag me for ur non sensical comment
Ranbir has it kjo....
And then came Superstar Ranbir Kapoor ⭐️
Explaining ,what Karan Johar said , in one line -
"If everyone is Special, then No one is special"
Couldn't agree more
Many realizations as generation passes we gain
He forgot to add ranbir kapoor
coz Ranbir he gets the best scripts and directors. No one will go watch him if he decides to do what Salman or Shahrukh used to act in during 90s and 2000s. In fact, even Salman or Shahrukh won't get audiences if they get mediocre script or direction.
@@nikhilkay1That's pure ignorance. Srk and Salman worked with big directors & production house as well. Ranbir is a way better actor than them but they had a style and an aura which captured a lot of audience for them. If we go by pure acting skills then Ranbir clears them.
@@amansingh3665you are right in acting skill ranbir he is best.
Salman and srk has that star like offscreen persona !
Ranbir seems to be a genuine artist who is just best in what he does
@@hassansaid5472 correct
Two Words: Ranbir Kapoor
And yes I can stand in line to watch his acting.
Common man has become intelligent over time
This is what he is trying to say
No ...bcs have you see these youtubers fandoms ?? All these girls obsessing over kpop idols ??
Pathan and jawan were mediocre films still getting such huge collection?? Thats intelligence to you ??
Its just in last two decade no actor in bollywood debuted with that kind of aura
Bcs if it would be just bcs the audience changed then even srk and salman wont be the superstar they are today now ...both these actors still make fans in every generation ..so many gen z kids are die hard srk fans and salman fans
Yea the income inequality is reducing and people are educated
Aishwarya madhuri shreedevi ???
With respect madam r u single?? Those all are vantage super woman star's
Old generation
Shut up feminist!
@@pothannasettino they are nothing compared to the male one
They are good but still inferior
Aishwarya really ?
New generation actors are owesome. ❤
I just want to know why he only mentioned male actors?
Did he forgot about outstanding female artists like...aishwarya rao, hema malini, madhuri dixit, shree devi, rekha ji and many more...i really don't find this right.
They're not superstars , let's be serious
They are not superstar , their stardom is not big
Nope ! Only sreedeviji had that level of charm to consider among them , rest of this specifically Aishwarya is far away from the list
Where are the bollywood critics or the female actors commenting on this?
Token feminist comment. Yawn
He very well said the truth. Even if its his first but yeah.
Yes now kjo is right
Wow first time I heard him speak with intelligence salute to you today man. Be like this always ur personality will reflect u in better ways
Any SSR Fans ❤️😔
I don’t like watching movies but I saw his many interviews and I think he was a great actor.
I still think about him and hope he gets justice
Ranbir kapoor
Just two words....RANBIR KAPOOOR
Okay but for what?
Kya sahi baat bola… “standing in lines just for you.. that aint happening anymore..” How true..! It actually aint happening anymore.. that craze is gone..
Very true
For the first time Karan's words felt relatable
Mr Karan johar.. because.. people have grown up ... Chote chote sehron mein ab badi baat nahi achhi lagti... Your fake mahal fake college.. fake everything.. rani rocky bhi pitegi...
Your comment didn't age well, did it?😅
Rocky aur Rani is a box office hit.
Hrithik is the last of superstars, but Ranbir Kapoor seems To be one in the making ❤❤❤
Its happening because of you karan . Bring more nepokids to Bollywood 😊
People become legends as time passes by.
Sushant sir have the potential to be last brightest star in the universe but he is not with us ......
Sushant was the one ❤❤❤
Ranbir is the only Superstar that can hold the reins of khans, kumar n Devgan.. Just don’t do any movie of Dharma n Yashraj.. He has to work with south directors 🎉🎉🎉
Because this generation is not dumb the kind of respect ppl have for movie stars they should also have it for their life their time
And the man stand corrected now with Vanga declaring Ranbir as super star
You missed Sunil Shetty and Sanjay Dutt!
Also to some extend anil kapoor
It's simply just because people have replaced their RM from actors to pseudo Spritual guru's and headless political leaders....
I think only Ranveer kapoor has it
Ranbir Kapoor after Animal!!
It will happen for ranbir kapoor
Agree❤❤❤
Yes because in this generation more than talent there is nepotism... if bollywood will be fair and real talent is promoted ofcourse there will be a superstar....
And one of the major aspects to be followed for that is the audience's liking for that actor, if a right actor is promoted for his/her talent then no director/producer can stop him (yes the actor also has a responsibility somewhere to choose a good script, etc. But that is a different topic altogether)
You can also see that in Hollywood.
Tom Cruise and DiCaprio are the last Superstar for me .
Maybe you can add brad pitt or Johnny Depp.
But thats it
Cos the lifestyle gap between so called stars and others has diminished. And people have become smart not to fall in traps and worship these humans. That’s why this is happening
If Shah rukh khan was a superstar , why Swedes failed ?
If Hrithik was Superstar , why Lakshya Failed ?
Also , a movie like 'Happy new year' or 'Prem ratan dhan payo' shows that Superstar concept needs to die as well to stop BS movies.
rajesh Khanna ke time bhi log yahi bolte honge phir amitabh and the list continues
Ye log freshers ko aane nahi dete tikne nahi dete ye hat jayenge to sab thik ho jayega
Tu bolta tha kya uss time, aur btw rajesh Khanna ka stardom shyd hi koi touch kr payega
You missed Govinda.and also Sunny Deol to some extent.
