Hey saurav as you said about the recompositing in center weighted metering , we have to do it same as we do in focus and recompose or is there any method to it ? Thanks :)
It's simple. For portraiture and product photography, use the spot metering mode. For landscapes, use matrix metering mode or, when you want to highlight a subject in your landscape, use spot or center weighted metering mode.
like how clear and concise this is. so many of the videos on this are like 20 minute long dissertations that beginner level photographers are not going to have the patience or background to appreciate. this sums it up really nicely
Well scripted, produced and presented video. You have a natural way of explaining photography. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to viewing all your videos.
metrix - default, mostly correct way to go. spot -shooting birds or other smaller things in the scene. center -if something or a person in middle is important and wants to ignore background
now this is a proper TH-cam tutorial! Nice 5 min video with all information included and explained in very detail with diagrams example. keep up the great work buddy!
Randall from Chicago here I've been watching a number of your videos recently and found the content to be top quality. You explain things quickly and comprehensively
Thank you, Saurav. You set the expectations at the beginning of the video, and told us exactly what you will be covering. Your communication style made it easy to understand the concepts. Additonally, you communicated clearly and concisely.
Man, I really loved this video. Your explanation is very thorough and to the point. The first time I understand that. Also, thats a CRAZY shallow DOF and Bokeh you got there. Loved how you used that light source coming from the trees as back light to your head. Awesome video mate. Keep it up. Cheers.
Thanks for taking us back to basics with the metering modes! I usually use center-weighted metering in my Nikon, but also enjoy the matrix metering mode for outdoors. Again thank you!
I wanted to learn metering mode, so I watched a lot of videos on TH-cam, but they didn't clear the things as you did in this video by concentrating on exact topic, what it is. Thank you.
That was crazy good and helpful. All other videos on this are 10-14min and you knocked it out in 5 and now I know exactly when to test metering. I need to check your other vids. Also you have a great speaking voice. At times your tone made me think of a frightening scene in a movie. It’s cool. I don’t know if that made any sense and now the comment is super long, anyway Thank you
Why the hell does this video have ANY Thumbs Down!?!? This could be one of the best videos I've found explaining how Metering Modes are used and how they're different! Great job on this! You've got yourself a new Subsciber.
I guess that you explained this in your second language. You did a great job showing and explaining all the things. Truly appreciate your work since it helps me to understand. This metering issue has been a problem for me for a long time. I could not understand why my camera kept getting dark every time I shot some photos. Thanks
Very good and concise way of getting the point across without drowning the average or beginner user with confusing technical terms. In other words, very simple to understand. Thank you very much.
Yes, I agree! You explain things perfectly for me. I've seen others explain histogram, but I would really enjoy you explaining histogram. Thank you for what you do us.
You explained everything wonderfully, and I have a question that I would need a quick reply for. I have set up my camera to capture photos of textiles with 9 different lights arranged clockwise. I need these photos to create a mockup. Please provide details on which features are important to use. I need the exact results, capturing the textiles with accurate colors and texture patterns.
Hope this short video about Metering Modes cleared all your doubts. If you have any further queries, feel free to ask them in the comments below.
Your videos are incredible. Very helpful. Thanks Bro.

How do you take meter reading for correct exposure in different lighting situation? Would you make a video on that topic?
Which metering mode should I use if i dont have spot metering mode ?
Thanks
thanks for detailed Ans....u clear all doubts

What's "matrix" metering on Canon ? I only have Evaluative, Partial, Dpot, and Center.
It would probably be evaluative because it's looking at the whole scene.
@@EVRYMANaKING Matrix is nothing but evaluate in canon, it is only the name differs in different brands.
@@mohammedawaise561 thanks
EVRYMANaKING Evaluative
