Fantastic review Lexi! Thank you for all the comparison swatches. The surprise for me is how well brun roussi works on your skin tone! I was going to pass on that blush and only get the peche rosé but truly the sun burnt look of brun roussi looks really nice on you.
I wish Chanel would formulate those stick balms to not be so tacky in the way they feel on the skin. I don’t care for products that don’t set down. I have longer hair too and I hate it when your hair sticks to it!😂🙋🏻♀️ I liked the lip balm..tempted to try one of those 🤩
Ps- I like the darker blush more after you buffed it out. Both pretty but too bad they had to have the gold sheen in both🤷🏻♀️guess that’s why they call them illuminating blushes.
Great review as always! I really liked your look with Demo #2. I was surprised how much I liked the Brun blush and Ensoleille on you. I thought the blush would look closer to Paradise Venus which I have been loving. I’m on my way to pick up my Mediterranean palette at Nordstrom. I’m afraid it’s going to look too similar to the Intense palette of LY which I’ve been loving. On you it looks lighter and less bronzey so we’ll see. Our Ulta in town has the Chanel #1 collection so hope to make it there today as well.
@@LexiJong I tried on the Mediterranean palette. It’s definitely lighter, less peachy, less bronzey and more sparkly. I’d say it’s more neutral than Intense. It’s very pretty but not special- I prefer the versatility of the Intense palette and the bronzey effect for the summer. I came home with samples of the Chanel #1 foundation, serum and perfume. I bought the cheek and lip balm surprisingly in Vibrant Beige - it was a toss up with Lively Rosewood for the first trial but I liked Healthy Pink and the Coral as well. I love it as a lip balm and it’s pretty on the cheeks. It still does not rival the Cle de Peau formula. 😘

I don't like cleaning them! It is impossible to truly clean the interior of a beauty blender or sponge so I prefer to use brushes because I feel more confident in my cleansing ability with them.
@@LexiJong ya they are a pain in the ass to clean. I clean mine EVERYDAY with a natural oatmeal bar soap 🧼. I need it clean before I use it . Idk 🤷🏽♀️ how ppl can use it for weeks without cleaning it. It only takes 2 min to clean it’s easier to clean if it’s done everyday. I was just wondering. I know a lot a ppl use a brush then a blender to make it look airbrushed . It actually works really well. Thanks for answering. ☺️
Yes it has a subtle fragrance which is the same throughout the N1 line. It is kind of a light fruity floral but much less intense than any other Chanel products. A description of the fragrance is at the very end of the video and that is the same scent in the foundation and other products.

I like the Dior ones, got Plum from the recent holiday collection. Is the la comete lipstick in rouge vie radiant as glittery as the darker brown one you tried? And from what you said it isn't drying lips out? Btw, I'm loving the Baume Essential in Or I got for Christmas, have you tried putting it on underneath foundation? I find it's not as tacky then, looks lit from within, a tip I heard that's been really helpful. I agree the more you put on, the more tackier it feels! Sorry for the long comment but Chanel gets me excited! 😂

Great video and comparisons Lexi - second look in particular was lovely. I have a feeling the glittery texture wouldn't look so great on my crocodile eye lids! I loved the texture of the T Ford swatch though - smooth and satiny - really pretty. Cheek colours looked really good esp when you brought out the Sonia G smooth buffer - that took care of the excess pigment. I have the Face One or whatever it's new name is - didn't think I would use this sort of brush b4 I bought it but I love it - gets me out of trouble if I over-do the blush/bronzer application!

I think I like Brun Roussi more as a blush than a bronzer. It doesn't seem like the best hue for bronzing but you never know until you try it! I will compare them to the Hermes but I think the texture is different. The Hermes lip shine (poppy) is a creamier formula. I think these are more pigmented for sure and they seem like they stay put better on the lips but I need to test them a bit more to be sure. I was thinking the same thing about the liquid shadow!

Hi Lexi, I was in Brazil recently and happened upon a Chanel makeup boutique, where the SA applied the Peche Rosée on me, and I fell in love with it! But the Brun Roussi looks so fab on you, I am tempted to try that, too. (I did not purchase in Brazil because the price there was 50% more even with good exchange rate) I was wondering if you like Brun Roussi better than the Châines de Chanel? Thx for your input. 😘

I really like the brun roussi and i think it prefer it over the chaines de chanel because it isn’t as shimmery but they are really both great and close so if you already have chaines de chanel, i think you are okay skipping it unless you are obsessed with subtle differences like i am 😂. You may want to check out the permanent blush shade that is similar (brun rouge) because it is basically the same as brun roussi without the shimmer and you could mix it with chaines to get more of a dupe for less money
@@LexiJong Haha, I only have two Chanel powder blushes (In Love and Rose Petale) and one Dior (Rosy Glow 001). I have been using the Chanel stick blushes (have all but 22). I do like a bit of shimmer, so ?? The peach would be the safest bet. 😬🤣
@@janine4360 i think peach is the safest but with what you have the brun roussi might be a good one to mix with what you have to incorporate some different tones. I think you will get more use from the peach though.

I like the Peche Rose with powder best. Same with the foundation because the glow still shows, but doesn’t look too shiny, plus late day oiliness has less of a chance making everything look super shiny. I’m really surprised that the darker blush was so red after application as I thought it would show rust/brown. If you experiment with the darker blush with a different brush, I’d be interested in hearing what happens. The lip balms are so, so tempting. Thanks for a great review.
I don’t think it is that hard to blend out and if you go in with less initially it should be quick. Maybe test it on your hand when you can see them in person.

I think you will love the blush Stephanie! The BD01 is the lightest but just so you know, these shades run a touch lighter than other Chanel foundations so you may want to start with a sample. I found that I still prefer the BD01.

The dark blush is almost the same 604 Brun Rouge in the Joues Contrast line. Nothing new, they just change the package and add fine gold shimmer.
I don't have that one so that is good to know.

I am wearing it under my foundation today and it isn't sticky but much more subdued.
I am fair like you and using Brun Roussi blush with Sonia G soft cheek leaves a gorgeous soft color.

I think I like Brun Roussi more as a blush than a bronzer. It doesn't seem like the best hue for bronzing but you never know until you try it! I will compare them to the Hermes but I think the texture is different. The Hermes lip shine (poppy) is a creamier formula. I think these are more pigmented for sure and they seem like they stay put better on the lips but I need to test them a bit more to be sure. I was thinking the same thing about the liquid shadow!

Hi Lexi, I was in Brazil recently and happened upon a Chanel makeup boutique, where the SA applied the Peche Rosée on me, and I fell in love with it! But the Brun Roussi looks so fab on you, I am tempted to try that, too. (I did not purchase in Brazil because the price there was 50% more even with good exchange rate) I was wondering if you like Brun Roussi better than the Châines de Chanel? Thx for your input. 😘

I really like the brun roussi and i think it prefer it over the chaines de chanel because it isn’t as shimmery but they are really both great and close so if you already have chaines de chanel, i think you are okay skipping it unless you are obsessed with subtle differences like i am 😂. You may want to check out the permanent blush shade that is similar (brun rouge) because it is basically the same as brun roussi without the shimmer and you could mix it with chaines to get more of a dupe for less money
@@LexiJong Haha, I only have two Chanel powder blushes (In Love and Rose Petale) and one Dior (Rosy Glow 001). I have been using the Chanel stick blushes (have all but 22). I do like a bit of shimmer, so ?? The peach would be the safest bet. 😬🤣
@@janine4360 i think peach is the safest but with what you have the brun roussi might be a good one to mix with what you have to incorporate some different tones. I think you will get more use from the peach though.

I like the Peche Rose with powder best. Same with the foundation because the glow still shows, but doesn’t look too shiny, plus late day oiliness has less of a chance making everything look super shiny. I’m really surprised that the darker blush was so red after application as I thought it would show rust/brown. If you experiment with the darker blush with a different brush, I’d be interested in hearing what happens. The lip balms are so, so tempting. Thanks for a great review.

I don’t think it is that hard to blend out and if you go in with less initially it should be quick. Maybe test it on your hand when you can see them in person.
Oh, what a great review, dear Lexi! I was on the fence getting also the Brun Roussi blush after falling in love with the Peche Rosee... After your video I ordered it.. So, hubby says thank you.. ((-:! For the foundation I wonder if I should get the B10 or also the BD01?! The BD01 is the lightest of the bunch, right?!
I think you will love the blush Stephanie! The BD01 is the lightest but just so you know, these shades run a touch lighter than other Chanel foundations so you may want to start with a sample. I found that I still prefer the BD01.

Dear from my heart I want to say that before seeing your review about this collections I am not that much shown interest, even though I saw some reviews of blushes and eyeshadow from this collection. ..I didnt get attracted. But more releases made my mind blank,confused.but when I saw your first eyelook I want to grab this quad,I love the 1st eyelook very much , dark color blush plus baume glow stick ( which works well together ) coco lipsticks,any one color from la comete collections ( because of star in the cap ,and other 2 blushes which has logo on it).dear I dont know but my shopping list is going on increasing .God help me( 😃).you are gorgeous, I love the foundation, I am also looking for the No°1 de chanel skin care review plus lipsticks swatches, thank you dear for mentioned about coco lipstick is not limited edition😃😃😃.thank you

I think the lips can make it more spring like but I agree that the blush lumieres in particular scream summer over spring to me.
