People want all this new designs, but in reality the cars they make now days are shitty!! This Cadillac has a v6 with no turbo. That’s a good engine. My suv with a turbo already needed a major engine fix.
Last year Cadillac updated the interior of the XT4. Giving it a modern widescreen of gauges and infotainment. It makes no sense that Cadillac didn’t update the XT5’s interior the same way. That is, unless a full redesign is coming soon.
@ I prefer traditional analog gauges as well. As long as their brightly lit. The XT5’s current Infotainment screen, however, is way too small. Needs updating.
This car looks so dated - especially the interior. Nearly 9 years in production and the only change has been the addition of the 4 cylinder and shuffling of trim packages. The XT6 (based on the XT5) is almost as bad but it does offer more cargo room. China got some kind of XT5 redo - why not the U.S?
It looks good enough for me. I like the handling and performance over an updated design. Vehicles that are over “teched” are having a lot of reliability issues (i.e. Mazda cx90)
I enjoyed your review and the ride. Have they improved the reliability? I keep looking between the Toyota Highlander Limited 2022 (V6) and the XT5 and I'd love for the Cadillac to be more reliable. Your thoughts?
This car has been around for 9 model years with no significant change. It's pretty dated. Wait and see if the new design that has been released in China ever makes it to the US. At least the new design will have a year or two of testing in China.
That's basically a 2017 thru 2025. So every year they roll out the same vehicle and up the price 😅 why would you pay that kind of money for a 2017? That's nuts 😮😵💫🤓
Worst vehicle I ever owned for reliability. Within year one: new transmission, new fuel pump, new trash pump and sometimes wouldn’t start but they couldn’t figure it out! No wonder Consumer Reports has GM an ear the bottom of 17 manufacturers
Hello Ben. This model was redesigned for China: th-cam.com/video/2u9NlUb5HxM/w-d-xo.html The United States is not getting it at this time. It is China Cadillac only right now. Thank you for the review.
I have a 2021 Sport and wouldn't change a thing.
Best car I ever owned.

I much prefer the traditional analog gauges over a wrap around tv screen

Not bad looking Cadillac I like it good suv for your family
The new desing is already out, but in China and looks really sharp
I have a 2017 premium Xt5 v6 and it kicks ass man, I'm super happy with it
Same.
I have a 2015 SRX thinking of buying xt5 but man I love my SRX.

Nah they added plenty to the price in that time too lol
So, you want something fresh and new from Cadillac? A new model will bring nothing but recalls. Keep the old design and work out the bugs.

Yeah, it’s looked the same for way too long. Time for a complete redo.
The 2025 XT5 was redesigned actually. But only in China.
I don’t know why, but I like the Lincolns better. 🤔
Nothing change in xt5 & xt6 like xt4 I don't know what is the idea from that
+$63k for this wild, just get a lexus at that point or a bmw x3 with the inline 6 !
You really, really, really need to go into more details when you speak about the "TRIM"

I am your supporter sir Roger❤
There’s already a redesigned XT5 in China

Hopefully they get rid of the uncomfortable seats there terrible
They were almost as bad as Nissan with the Murano. 10 years for that one, 8 years for this one. I'm waiting for the update.

This isn't very....... Cadillac-ish. Very dull interior and exterior is having trouble hiding the Traverse underneath
I drove one and I was not impressed. I have a 2022 Nissan Rogue and it out performs better ...with a 3 banger
I wish they would bring the new XT5 over from China.

Dated!

This car looks 25 years old. What a piece of crap. The new Chevy mid-sizers look so much better than this.
Ha! Ha! CHINA ALREADY HAS THE UPDATED VERSION! 😅😂🤣😜
Well they are made in China 😂
@FF-hd3ux I didn't think about that .. 🤦♂️😂
Who in thier right mind would buy this 😂 you can buy a new 2025 gle for the same price. The gle is waaaaaayyy better..
No heated backrest in the seats...no air cooled seats......no thanks........cheap.
They did.. But only for China apparently??? SMH!!!
Cadillac is a Chinese brand now u know. 😂
Tired, nothing product. Worst in class, discounts abound. It’s junk.
