- In this video, I will show you the difference between head voice, mixed voice and chest voice, by singing "Easy on Me" by Adele in all 3 vocal registers. If you want to learn how to sing in these registers, I have video tutorials on my channel for all 3!
Head Voice is your softest and highest vocal register (though as I explain in the video, you can also call soft low notes as "Head Voice" as well). Mixed Voice is your mid-range, both in pitch as well as power. It is stronger than Head Voice, yet weaker than Chest Voice. It is great for adding power to ballads! Chest Voice is also known as Belting, or your Belt Voice. It is your strongest and fullest singing.
Thanks a ton for demonstrating all three registers. EXTREMELY HELPFUL!1😊
Very nicely explained.. I think you have explained most of the things which practically work while singing. You are a brilliant coach who can actually demonstrate what you teach and what the learners should expect..
That means a lot, thank you so much!! ☺️
Really amazing video 🤩👍
That’s very helpful and you sound better and better. Something that totally changed my vocals for the better was to keep my tongue flat so that it doesn’t make my voice filtered, I was amazed at how much of a higher range I could hit along with a clear sound
Thanks so much! And yes, definitely! You’ll even notice that your tongue naturally stays down when saying “Ahhh, I understand now” in a conversation or, “Ohhh I get it!” Both that Ah and Oh, our tongue naturally stays down to offer more space, and it does wonders for pitch and vocal freedom!! 😄
Girl!!! Lovin’ all of this!! I have sang for so many years, however, I’m looking forward in taking your classes to get rid of some bad habits formed over the years and the lack of learning certain skills!
Count on me in coming to you soon for classes! Boom!
thanks so much! Ahh awesome I'm looking forward to it!! 😄
Great Kate ❤
loved it!
Wow thank you, so head, chest mixed so when you sing alto it will be more of a chest voice? and mixed soprano? and head tenor?
that's the idea! - chest voice will be your lowest notes, mixed voice is your mid-range, and head voice is your highest notes!
