Hey, I like cities allover the World. Also the US has really great skylines. Im from Germany 🇩🇪 but even a place like omaha nebraska looks like a really nice city! That city omaha could have much more and taller skyscrapers then now. Also the streets Look extremely terrible. But now its your turn to create the city omaha in a new bright shining place 😊 many greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

Nice small city in the Midwest --. Just remember to keep revitalizing the downtown area, because that's where your future young workforce wants to live and play,as well as work!!!!!

We are actually, the three connected parks that compose 72 acres are going to open in a July, its called "The Riverfront". One of the parks has opened last year and its full of people of all ages, even at night, even in winter. We are in the process of building a larger glass skyscraper in front of the two red rectangle buildings, and already have several mixed used development projects filling those empty lots in downtown, several large apartment complexes being built at the moment, as well as 2 new entertainment venues with high capacity. Streetcar is also going to be built for the urban core and to connect Council bluffs, with a new mixed used develoment neighborhood with walkability in mind. Over i480 we are builiding a landscape park on a portion to connect midtown with downtown, so i480 will be under tunnel, also part of i480 is planned to be converted to a boulevard.

You didn't take the prettiest route through Omaha. Athens start. You missed all the beautiful buildings. The Blackstone historic section has many beautiful old homes that you missed. Omaha is so pretty but if you only stay on the main drags you miss so much. But since I'm living in a different state now, it was very nice to see Omaha again. Keeps the homesickness down. People who are disappointed that there aren't more skyscrapers in Omaha, sorry, but Omaha has never been known for that. It's the historic areas that are the places to see but they can be a bit hidden. All a native about what's beautiful to see, they'll suggest something nice. One thing Nebraskans are known for is that they are nice.

I was just there and the roads suck. Also the traffic signals don’t sync

    • @Electrodexify

Traffic signals do sync in downtown. Roads are typical for this latitude, as we have thaws and freezes, plus we don't pay toll roads like florida and texas.

They are in the Old Market district, full of restaurants, a few blocks away, also most people are in the Gene Leahy Mall park and soon people will flock to the two other parks, connected to Gene Leahy Mall, total of 72 acres of walkers green paradise and food trucks.

Omaha got shortchanged. WOW became a sports station instead of a Top 40. Radio 59 was good in that day. No more Omaha Knights nor Central Hockey League.

I have lived here most of my life (71) and I love the city. However, I never realized how ugly and abusive of aesthetics is downtown Omaha until I watched this. This video discourages in my view, anyone looking for a beautiful small sized big city as a potential tourist destination, let alone a new home.

We have a great filter that keeps homeless and other undesirable problems out of our city, and brings people that share our values in being a productive citizen
