ASD Assessment Questionnaire ASMR Roleplay

  • Needless to say, this ASD assessment ASMR roleplay is not real and should absolutely not be used as a diagnostic tool. That said, if you feel that you may be on the spectrum, you definitely owe it to yourself to book an assessment to find out.
I was diagnosed with ASD later in my life - in my mid-thirties - and had previously been convinced that I categorically was not on the spectrum. However, after going through the process and learning more about it, it was incredibly helpful for me to receive the diagnosis so that I could better try to understand myself.
I try to convey a little of that comfort in this video but end up quite badly jumbling up words and not making sense, so hopefully there is enough personal attention and support in it to help you relax, but I do apologise for how chaotic it is. Regardless, I hope you enjoy!

    🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
    📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
Disclaimer: This video is intended for relaxation. Any views, opinions, or advice expressed is purely for the purpose of entertainment, and to induce tingles through ASMR. These videos are not a substitute for traditional medicine, therapy, or any other professional medium, and should not be treated as such! Take all the advice with a pinch of salt, and certainly don’t take it to heart. That being said, please enjoy them, benefit from them, and hopefully get those warm, tingly feelings. Oh, and it’s not for kids.

I will admit that I was afraid when I saw the title as most videos about ASD are grossly full of misinformation but I was pleasantly surprised. Finding out that Jim is also on the spectrum and very much up to date and informed made me quite happy 😁

Hey Jim, a close loved one of mine is going to be blown away by this vid as he is feeling very alone in the world after a recent ASD diagnosis. He loves asmr. Your special brand of kindness and sincerity is exactly what he needs. Thank you

when I was prompted to get my diagnosis by a shrink I dragged my mother and daughters in and was like "them too then" and yes, we all have autism.

Have you ever thought about uploading your audio to Spotify? I'd love to listen to your vids while I sleep without worrying about a glaring video or dealing with ads.

I got diagnosed at 15, almost two years ago now, and it changed my life. Thank you for making this video, Jim; I can assure you that channels such as yours mean a lot to people like me.

I am a woman in my 30’s and I was diagnosed at 13 in 2005 with ASD though it was labelled as a different diagnosis with the name that is no longer relevant. Anyway this ASMR is great and the fact that in the description Jim has had personal experience shows the care and effort put into this video.

I have ADHD and have been wanting to take an ASD assessment since I feel that I also show symptoms of ASD, so this hits pretty close to home to me. Thanks so much for this, Jim! Very relaxing ☺️💕

Slowly working up the nerve to get assessed 7 years after my psychologist told me she would've had me diagnosed if I was younger (I was 15). Thank you for making it feel a bit less daunting.

I've been recently exploring ASD stuff because I was diagnosed with ADHD in college and I feel like there's something... more? I don't know how to explain, but yeah. I feel a lot safer here now honestly. Not that I didn't feel safe on your channel before - you're very comforting - but it's different now, if that makes sense. I dunno what I'm even saying now. Anyway, thank you for your openness and kindness 💕

Thank you, Jim, this was very well done. I'm sure people get tired of my mentioning my son (who is 17) is on the spectrum but I think he is awesome. I drive people a bit batty when the say to "Act normal" and I reply, "Normal by whose definition?" To me normal is a matter of interpretation and so what if I don't fit your definition. For those of you who are neurodivergent or just different, keep on being your wonderful selves and don't let anyone make you feel less because you don't fit their definition! You are AWESOME as you are!

Jim, I know you said it's not real but I just want to say thank you. I've been trying to find a doctor to assess me and only one person takes my health insurance; I've been turned away because of my age and my insurance, to say the least this has been a hard battle. This video reminds me of what I'm fighting for and I won't give up. Also the video kicked ass, great job.

This is so fascinating to me. I am sure I am on the spectrum and could relate to a good 95% of the symptoms mentioned. Especially the praise related question. Thank you Jim, I’m still not convinced you’re not a healthcare professional, as your bedside manner is better than most doctors these days. 😊
