I'm hoping they do an expansion for tourism that's equal in scale to Industries. It would be really cool to have different kinds of tourism to focus on and build beaches and museums etc and have it have more of an impact on the city. Tourism districts right now are pretty insignificant.
@@user-wq9mw2xz3j in Belgium there arent really dorms, the business is privatised. So people just buy a house and make it 3/4 really small dorms. Dont know if its the same in the rest of Europe. Even people who live closely rent a little chamber the get the ambience of the city (we party every single day)
It's awesome how you listen to the comments and actually take them into consideration, love the way you describe all of your changes in such depth. Keep it up!
Catching up on this series so I'm guessing the other campuses have already been built but if you wanna give the university a bigger scale you could treat them as different campuses of the same uni. Also, it'd be cool to see some light commercial built in with stationery shops and places to eat for the students.
I think it would look really cool if you put the university baseball stadium at the "point/peninsula" shape of Montana (towards the right of the big suspension bridge). Point Loma's baseball field in San Diego, and Oracle Park in San Francisco are good reference points I believe
I edited my roads in the asset editor to remove the streetlamp props. its a great way to familiarize yourself with the road editor and its a pretty simple fix. I would recommend a try.
Looking good! I wouldn't stress too much about the scale honestly; there are plenty of smaller urban universities. The uni I attended was in the heart of downtown, and the older uni buildings only took up a few blocks. As the uni expanded, they started leasing and buying commercial buildings from the city, so it's difficult to tell the actual scale of the university from the "campus" alone.
I suggest you to take a look at Middle East Technical University. I think this is one of the best campus settlement I've ever seen. Such practical and pedestrian+green friendly. Trade school theme will be the best-fitting one if you want to build something METU-like.
The whole campus is really stunning so far. Those views of the city are something else. But PLEASE, we’re begging you, fix the roundabout in front of the admin building. It physically hurts.
If you have a mountain or forest area that needs many plants, but is away from the city, use some low poly trees. There are some good looking ones that can be spammed and not slow the game.
It looks really cool mate, you have such an ability to put into scale every part of the city, we all know it takes a lot of played hours to get to that point haha greetings from Chile ✌🏼
Universities here in the US tend to have horrible parking, and what little there is is extortionately expensive, so I think the campus is actually pretty realistic in that respect.
You should take a look at UBC, (University of British Columbia) it is on the coast and is a massive university town. It is a very big campus and you may find inspiration in it.
I feel your pain on the size of the campuses, coming from the the UK, we're usually a lot tighter on space, so my natural feel for the size of an campus is ALWAYS too small. I don't put anywhere near the amount of detailing in as you either, I'm not that artistic ;) Loving the city.
you should check out some smaller colleges overhead like Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or UAlbany both in New York. Those Universities you showed are all in big cities
@@twodollarstwenty Yess let me send it through Twitter? or Do U have a work email I can use? I wish for U to hear before I post it (including mentioning that U inspired me with this series 💯)

Great work mate, but that Athletics track does not look great , no green field in the middle ? Whats with the blue ? Lol It's bit of eye sore from the air fella , they never get stadiums correct

in Europe we dont really have "one big campus", instead the uni is spread around the whole city with separate buildings or smaller campuses.
Gilles Meiresonne yes
Yeah. In europe it is very uncommon unless you come from a remote area to live in dorms, you can just get there from home

Gilles Meiresonne i agree ! Same here in France
yeah same here in NZ Victoria Uni has dorms and campus' all over wellington

Nice, looks amazing. Up at 11pm to see it
Having absolutely no parking is 100% realistic at my university, don't worry
Indeed. It is very common for universities in Asia (especially East Asia) to have little or no parking space.
@@eastpavilion-er6081 Add Europe to that list.
In Europe there *might* be bouult 50 paarking spaces, if you pay a whole lot. But even if you pay, they are going to be full
But are you realistic?
1-hour squad, dude a legend not giving up at 9:30

Damn ... you made us miss the pole jump !!
you should continue building the university up those hills, a lot of universities are build on the hill...
Will you do a international airport in this series like Springwood?
I've asked him before. The answer is no if he doesn't change his mind
@@redoctober1991 Some kind of domestic airport?
You got to do something about your crime and dead people and trash its really driving me crazy seeing all those signs pop up whenever your in the city

For reference, check out Rio Hondo community college in whittier, California. It's built on a hillside with terraced parking, etc.

It’s changed 🙂
I think a build similar to Pepperdine University in Malibu would be a great fit for the planned university around the coastline.
You should build study areas in the mountains. have benches, parks, little coffee shops etc

Add TOLL booths, immediately helps finances and makes a surprising difference
I LOVEEE this series dude.
normal people practice sports too. add some basketball courts ans soccer fields near housing
A cool university based town is Pullman, Washington (Washington State University) you could check that out on google earth
Yes! Go Cougs for life bro!
It actually reminds of Shenandoah University in Winchester.
Might I recommend a “New York” style city to adapt towards? It would be an interesting addition to the whole city thing you’ve been doing!
Many universities in larger cities are blended throughout the city. Check out Georgia State Univ.
You should take a look at UBC, (University of British Columbia) it is on the coast and is a massive university town. It is a very big campus and you may find inspiration in it.

Go Bobcats!
I love how he was looking at the *actual* University of Montana
This type of University in Spain would be a small private one, the public Universities are bigger
What’s funny is that I wanted to go to the actual University of Montana irl. 😂
Realistically, in America that track would have an American Football field in it instead of shotput, discus etc...

If you're still reading these comments, or even care about Springwood still, the wiki was hacked.
I am such a fan of ur beautiful city that I made a song about Marble Mountains, I mean what U create is outstanding ART & truly Inspiring!

Good vid!
Hi two dollars twenty you are very epic
Epic comment
U of Manitoba represent :)
There is an in game way to turn off traffic lights you know
I did t think there is a way to turn them off without any mods, but with the traffic manager mod you can do it
BillyBobbyJoe Sr.jr. Traffic manager is easier but all you need to do in vanilla is select a road and go to junctions tab or whatever it’s called
I believe he was complaining shit the street lights, not the traffic lights. Or maybe we're thinking of two different instances?
Loved the video, but in futur episodes can you make some colledge single homes or duplex houseing on the mountianside?
Dude please post a time somewhere maybe closer to the time. Live in the UK so timings maybe a bit messed up but would hate to miss your first ever live stream!!
Idk if u can use Hide It! to remove the street lights in the roundabouts. Might edit the road for roundabouts in the editor 🤔
Nope, hide it! cant do that
Get Traffic Manager President Edition
6:02 You can actually see my house in this shot wow
cool!🤗
please make a racetrack that would be awesome
I hope that if your gonna stream, you will do it in the evening, given that is the only time its watchable here in europe :)
How about giving alle the big mountains a name. Just like you gabe Marble Mountain a name. Like the one at 13:25
0:13 is that a plane?
16:27 someone died at the track
A lot of mod. 🤣🤣😄
Great work mate, but that Athletics track does not look great , no green field in the middle ? Whats with the blue ? Lol
It's bit of eye sore from the air fella , they never get stadiums correct
Just think of it as cheap artificial turf.
Maybye you could build a realistic size university in Springwood?
What are your setting for the game ?
hey dude
you've got a duplicate video on the series playlist. episode 19 is shown twice.
Honest question, does he not focus at all on the actual functionality of the city? I get it if he would just rather focus on design and aesthetics, but there are SO many issues going on in the city that I haven’t seen him tackle. Just curious if that’s part of the series or not.
I’ll be tackling a bunch of those issues in the livestream next weekend
Can you add in bus lines, tour bus lines, and taxi stations?
The parking lot mod link? Anyone?
Are you going to address the policing situation?
Can't believe you would trash UTS like it isn't the coolest campus in Australia (behind RMIT off)
why does the map remind me of los santos
First
You need football team
"Australia doesn't have the best universities"
"Australia doesn't have the best theme parks"
Not a nationalist then?
Our universities range from the bottom to top tier but we definitely don't have the best theme parks
Dont mind me, but its really trigering to see that the town is not working, even its looking so realistic.
5th
you mean 4th?
