The defense works if you believe in man to man coverage 1 gap attack and 5 and 6 man pressures . So there fore you got to be studded out and that aint most our situations. Honestly georgia miltary is best at odd stack way more realistic for HS and small college game.
When he refers to the Bandit and Spur as 4&4 players what does that mean? Also with the corners when he says the corners are 1 by 8 players is that the zone he's referring to? Or what?
Matt Kerns he is talking about the the alignment from the line of scrimmage, in other words a 4x4 players is some one who lines up 4 yards deep and 4 yards out from the line of scrimmage.
Most examples have the defense getting gashed. From my experience, this is a defense that works better on paper than it does on the field. Why would anyone want to play this defense? Casteel has lost job after job. It can't always be just the players.
Charlie Strong loves this defense ...alabama uses the 335 as well based on certain situations....
