I love how she jumps into the cup ... Her tank looks beautiful and you do such a good job carefully cleaning everything. A clean tank/cage is as satisfying as clean sheets on a bed... Very rewarding. i got my hamster today - like a few hours ago. he is a male russian and is dark grey and white spotty and speckly. he is lovely:) i names him pebble because he kind of looks like one!
omg i got a hamster 3 days ago and im siiting on my floor with his tank right next to me. he just came out of his burrow and got a drink and a snack!!! thats a hudge deal for me cuz he doesnt ever come out when im in my room. and he was walking, moving, doing his normal thing while im here! im just so happy and proud. hes such a sweetheart

Love that you did research! But please know that the flying saucer can swing them off once they stop,it can hurt a hamster if they got flinged across the enclosure :)

Wait, omg, I just realised something, when you show all of the things u have in the first cage, I saw you have a heart shaped slate..... and I have the same thing too! And my hamster loves it so much! I put her tea light candle holder on it as her water dish and I am always finding her grooming on it and also taking treats 😂
@@TianiSimoneX yeah same here 😂 Well, snowy just knows her water is always on the slate, but she does like to sit on there and it is amazing for hot weather, because if you have mini ice packs, then leave the slate on while your doing a little spot clean or a daily check up or whatever, then the slate will have absorbed the coldness and will be lovely and refreshing for your hamster to sit on 💕 I’ve already had to put ice packs on the slate 1 time this year, which is very funny for England 😂 Sadly my room does get quite warm in the summer or just in the warmer days, but I have learned and found ways to keep my room and also snowys cage cool so she doesn’t get heat stroke. I would move her downstairs but we have a dog who is very protective and doesn’t like her 😆 But she has been doing well over the days where the temperature is reached higher degrees 💛

Tbh I wish there was something that was a mix of both 😂 I wish the detolf had more height to fit wheels ect but with the pawhut I wish the base wasn’t so thin x

It depends really sometimes she uses it more to pee in so I change a little more regularly but I can normally get away with completely changing it every 2-3weeks with spot cleans in between ☺️ I find the teabag bedding holds burrows really nicely 😊

No this isn’t everyday, this was also for a past hamster and every one is different. I have a diabetic hamster at the moment who I have to clean out ALOT more regularly. The comment above was talking only about the sand bath not the whole enclosure 😊
OK so I’m not an expert anything but I’ve been watching a lot of Victoria Rachel lately and she said that the spinner wheels from the spit smart or Petco or actually Siri dangerous and I could easily injury or animal
I have that exact playpen but my hamster can escape it so I have to keep an extra eye on him while I'm cleaning his cage. Does anyone have any tips on what can I do about this if anything?

Wow Inlove this!! I wish I could get a detolf to my hamster but my parents won’t let me :( they just say that it’s too big and it’s not gonna fit in my room but it is going to fit :( do you have any tips on how I could get it ?
She likes to bite 😂 if I handle her phisically I use gloves, the bits aren’t super nasty but it does Hurt so if I’m just moving her quickly I use a cup so it’s less stressful for her ☺️
Does it ever get bugs having sand and soil etc? And how often does the cage get dirty? I have guineapigs and they liturally have a messy dirty cage every two days haha! Can you use fleece as floor for hamsters?
Looks amazing but the food that you're feeding does look like it has some coloured bits in it and those aren't good, I'm not trying to offend you just want to help
Thanks for the advice 💕 I did do some research and the Mr Johnson’s is actually a pretty good mix in terms of protein and everything. It’s one that Erin’s animals has used as well 😊
@@arlothepup the coloured peices are fine, they are what holds the powders vitamins and the vermex supplement. When you remove these you unbalance the diet and that is far far worse for the hamster than the colour

It depends on the setup but because my detolf and pawhut are larger usually between every 2 - 4 weeks I spot clean (apart from waters ect) and then do a half clean every month and a half-2 months
No me gusto como limpias su hábitat, ya que el papel tenía excremento, y le hace daño, siempre que se limpia la casita, debes quitar todo, y debes guardar un poco como lo de tu puño para k tenga su olor, lo resguardas tatito, y de ahí tiras todo el sustrato que tiene, y le pones limpio y ahí mismo exparces el k tiene su olor para que reconozca 🥲

I use the pets at home desert sand (the normal colour not the red one and the one with no calcium) :)

You should use a strip of cardboard to separate the rocks
