i am homeless for all my life. As my parents abandon me when i was very young. i was hungry all the time. but i never give up on myself. i'm working and studying at the same time. now, i am a doctoral student. I truly believe as long as "you don't give up, you can not fail."
this dude becomes my inspiration..after reading what he had gone through.. now i feel ashame of myself for not finishing my studies..and complaining on the things which i already have.. Thank you! And goodluck!! :)
Granted, this person may have been an inspiration to you; but what do you plan to do with that inspiration? Use him as an example: the kind of example that you should strive for. I know I will sound bossy, and I know that this is no place for a random stranger to make criticism about things that he does not know, but, you should strive to be even greater. Don't look towards the past and think "I shouldn't have done that, I should have done this instead." rather, look at life thinking "what can I make out of this? How can I be better? What can I do to allow myself to see me in a better light, and to improve my life? How can I do these things?". It is never too late to strive for greatness. This man is a wonderful example of a common misconception in our society. People simply believe that opportunity will find them, when in reality, it is up to each and every one of us to strive to CREATE our own opportunity. Good luck, my friend, I hope that you will experience the success that you have always wanted in life.
I got to hand it to him for what he was able to accomplish. I was briefly homeless only for a little over a year when I was 10/11years old (late1995 -1997). When I graduated high school I graduated wit a GPA of about a 2.0 I probably could have gotten better grade but most teenagers don't think about getting the most out of public education. I currently now live in in a nice small house and at times I take it for granted. But when I think back to my school year I now appreciate what I do have now.

It maybe inspiring but we don't know all the details. was he homeless for many years or for just a day or week. Did he or his family have money somewhere saved up or connections. It is inspiring that he had challenges. I think anyone can overcome challenges with a bit of luck.
