There is no single reason that could justify all this evil that has been done. Until a few months ago, people with very formal lives like ours lived in these beautiful cities and buildings, houses. I am very sad to see this destruction, and in the midst of it all abandoned animals to whom nothing is clear. Frightened, hungry, sick and persistently waiting for their owners to return. Why do people speak about these people as more than the people of Iraq, Syria, or Yemen. Their lives and families matter too although Western media has done a very good job of making sure you don’t identify with them.

Ukraine is proving that all a nation needs is the heart of its people. They are standing alone against tyranny and doing a helluva job for what they had to begin with. Ukrainians are an inspiration to the world. When this is over I wanna do what I can to get there and help rebuild. No wife or children, seems like the right move. I did it for Katrina no reason to not do it again.

The Ukrainian people seem like really good-hearted people. I was amazed at how many people took their dogs with them while fleeing, from watching the scenes on the news. It's so sad that not everyone could do this, but I am so happy to see that there are some great people like yourself who are finding these fur babies and nursing them back to health. Thank you!

The main driver of this war is the US based military industrial war machine that has a vested interest in wars starting and continuing wherever it is involved. The US sowed the seeds for this and now it is very happy with the bitter fruit that has emerged.

I live in the Scotland and 4 years ago rescued 2 Romanian dogs from kill shelters. They are the love of my life and no matter what I would never abandon them. God bless the man who feeds these dogs and shame on the owners who left them
War doesn’t always give you a choice. I believe that everyone that can, will go back home and reunite with their fur babies. If they were killed or injured maybe a neighbor or friend will remember their precious pet❤️

This war is stupid pointless, like any other war really. It’s not just humans who are hurt and killed.
All of those dogs owners should have stayed just like he did, or better yet took their dogs with them.

The reason is simple. Many dogs in the Eastern European countries like Ukraine are not accustomed to dry food and even to the wet canned food. People there traditionally feed dogs with "human" food. It can be specially prepared food, or it can be leftovers. But the point is that the bone must be a real bone, and the pieces of meat in the barley porridge must be a real beef, pork or chicken.

All of these animals were left behind. Not that I'm blaming their owners. They must save their own lives and their children's lives first. But I can't even imagine having to leave my pets behind. It's just awful.

I changed my wording, “had to be left behind” to read “left behind.” They’re having a rough time as it is, I didn’t see a need to pile on under the circumstances. I’ve had as many as 3 rescue dogs at the same time and I would not consider leaving them behind. Unfortunately some people were faced with making that choice. So sad. I hope I was able to explain my personal feelings on the matter.
