I love that most of the Darkin are wistful or angry about their existence, but Naafiri is just like “lmao this fucking rules”
I think she hated being a dog at first but her being in a pack and not being alone is why she doesn’t complain anymore.
Yeah, its about solitude. All other Darkin are forced to be alone in their weapons or monstrous to behold and thus shunned. Naafiri is not alone.
Likely because she can never lose her "vessel" in the traditional sense.
I think Rhaast is also having a good time based on his interactions.

Naafiri sounds like a more reasonable darkin. Not having an intent to kill people that aid it or do it no harm (shopkeep comment and giving Varus the chance to back off). No apparent grudges except for yordles (looks like they want to keep it as a running joke for dogs). Actually thanks their support for the buffs.
I think it has to do with Naafiri's vessels. At first she thought the dune wolves were dirty and hated them and then she realized how efficient being a pack was. That's what she wants all darkin to be like now and why she now loves being the dune wolves.

Riot doesn't make interactions like they used to. Champs/skins before interacts a lot.
I'm pretty sure she does. I think I saw something about her insulting rhaast for being stuck in his scythe still and then questioning why rhaast only took over one body. I can't remember where I saw that though unfortunately

@@justfrog_ like the other person said, the community complained about champs like Aatrox, Irelia, Ashe speaking too much. So they stopped making interactions and different voicelines.
I'm kinda sad that the special interactions between champions are getting smaller and smaller. Usually there are more lines like when Naafiri kills a specific champion or when a specific champion taunts.
I will agree with you. But I strongly believe, that every interaction Riot writers do somehow has to make sense in the larger scheme of things.
Look... Some champions have so many interaction, because it makes much sense for their character to have both knowledge and interest in many champs.
Tahm Kench, who bargains a lot for example.
Naafiri on the other hand has no political interest beyond her pack, no friends, no nation...
She is simply tied loosly to many champs, but not even personally.

Kinda sad but also makes sense, 99% of the playerbase is playing music or talking in discord so they barely hear these lines anyways, probably hard to justify an extra day or two in the voice booth for something barely anyone will ever hear.
@@xXEGPXx Its exeptional that Roit even makes SUCH a BIG effort to make really on point atmospheric voices, stories and lore considering, that the WAST magority of people dont give a damn about WHAT they are actually saying and what impact it has.
I would bet that at least 50% of the playerbase base has poor to very mundane or outdated knowledge of the lore and connections, which in my opinion is totaly fine. Makes it simply all the more crazy hwo much effort designers put in champions.

I think riot missed an opportunity with Naafiri not having an interaction with Nidalee, specially with her upgrade in LoRT. Nidalee is the pack mother and Naafiri is an entire pack by herself. Even if not canon as most of these are, i feel Naafiri should have some sense of respect towards her. Or even bel'veth, both in their on ways have somwhat of a similar goal, to consume everything and turn it into her.
One is prey, the other competition for said prey.
Personally, I'd love to know what Wolf (Kindred) thinks of Naafiri; Prey or playmate?

@@dashonconnolly9039 Nafiri's remark simply doesn't make sense in the context of the Darkin. Considering how big of a deal the imprisonment is to Aatrox, I find it baffling that Riot is trying to downplay that at every chance they get. It is supposed to be the same for all Darkin, yet it's barely brought up at all. Varus is supposedly focused on finding his sister, Rhaast just likes to kill, and Naafiri for some reason is like "Yeah, that's fine, we just need to be together". This whole idea of "The pack makes us stronger" feels very forced, like the fact that she's a Darkin was added later without much care after they already had a dog champion.
I think a Rioter said that Aatrox was sealed earlier when they haven't perfected the process. His situation is worse than the other Darkins.
Either that or because Aatrox has been going through bodies for centuries while the others are enjoying their first few.

@@VladDascaliuc The simple concept of solitary confinement is NOT that hard to understand. Each ppl have their own conscience and philosophy, thus make their progress in solitary confinement different. Aatrox lost in glory of the past, search for release from this life; Rhaast being an idiot and his blood thirst being amplify; Varus found copium in his triple souls; and Naafiri find self preservation by divide her self in a pack of wolf/dog, which should have been impossible for an immortal (if you don't understand this, just go watch Lion King or some nature documentaries).

I love how sometime we can hear the feminine voice more and sometime its the growl.
And If you listen closely, the distorted/masculine voice aswell, since the growl seems to be separate "voice" too.
"YORDLE!" has the same energy as "SQUIRREL!" for a dog.
She's cute whenever she gets a heal or buffs haha

I still remember when we used to have new champions with +30 minutes worth of voice lines

What would actually blow my mind is if in the distant future, once all the Darkins are revealed, they have character development like being housed by new vessels.
I like how Riot made the most reasonable Darkin a woman who becomes a canine hivemind.

@@Erenplsgiveitback As far as I know, Myisha is merely Zoe's predecessor, so she was the vessel for the aspect of Twilight before Zoe.
The reason why Naafiri still calls Zoe Myisha is likely because Naafiri only knows the aspect of Twilight as Myisha and thus calls her that.
Myisha was the aspect of twilight's former self during the darkin war. She helped the mortals seal the corrupted Ascended (Darkins) in various artifacts/weapons. Zoe is the current host of the aspect. I might be wrong please correct me.

It's a shame that she doesn't have a special interaction with Azir, as he's one of the causes why Darkin became Darkin.
No? The Darkin became Darkin because Xerath killed Azir therefore the ascended had no ruler to follow. That's why they went crazy in the first place because they were all fighting for leadership.
Edit: Yes I know the void was the one that scarred them in the first place. I was commenting on the fact that op was blaming the Darkin's rise on Azir.

Nope.
a lot of newer champions (aka released in the past 5 years) already have these interactions but they don't always happen in game because the coding behind it can be a bit of a mess

So general curiosity, which lead to other curiosities, does runterra have tacos and dogs small enough to be lapdogs? piltover would prob at least WANT lapdogs, but that took years of selective breeding, i don't know of any dogs that could possibly be lap dog sized? or did the ascended just have large dogs as lap dogs since they were large?
