When Windows 11 first launched, it had a ton of issues that mostly have been fixed. People keep asking me "Should I upgrade now?". I would say "Yes" if you want the useful features available with Windows 11 that are not available with Windows 10... Thanks for watching :)
I have loved Windows 11 since it was released. Once installed it takes about 10 minutes to declutter it and getting rid of the startup apps you don't want. Better than windows 10.
@davefrance3721 is there anything else that stands out to you why people should upgrade ( like myself who's never used Windows 11 ) to Win11 Pro? Like features you like or seem helpful. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
I really like the improved file explorer in Windows 11 and the chat feature in Bing is surprisingly useful. Notepad's been sitting at the back of the room, head down, doing its job for 40 years. Nice to see it finally got a bit of attention.
Really nice video Brett. I especially appreciate all the keyboard shortcut references as well. I remember opening Notepad for the first time in ages and discovering the tabs thing. It's fantastic and I am so glad that we have tabs in File explorer. I know it's been out for a while now but it certainly took it's sweet time coming. I also like the Windows media player tip. Never been a fan of bloated media players.
The clipboard history with sync is pretty nice. Voice typing _might_ be if I didn't have to say, "Period." and "Exclamation point." There is third-party for almost everything. My next laptop will come with Windows 11 already on it - I'll get it then. Thanks for this video!
The Voice typing tool uses "cloud-based voice recognition technology" so Microsoft records your voice and saves it. It's privacy statement says they won't use your voice or transcript, but I don't trust them. It's all a matter of trust. It's all very pernicious how we get sucked in to these things.
That's exactly 💯 why I am iffy about wanting to use it. I have not installed Win11 yet, but I'm thinking about it today. Do use the voice typing and honestly, I use an Android phone and the green light shows me when the camera and voice recorder are on, but you'd have to be a fool to think Samsung doesn't have a way around it I'd they wanted to. Or is it not possible 🤔 if you know... thanks in advance
I''m macOS user, i think windows 11 has big improvements and features that will be compete with macOS. Honestly i'm looking forward to use this operating system :)
The chat feature on Bing is the ChatGPT engine. The update to Notepad is too long in the making, but very welcome. There are several things in Windows 11 that are just wonky and not useful, but overall like most of the improvements they have made.
I upgraded to Win 11 Pro 4 months ago and have so far re-installed it 3 times losing data of varing degrees each time. 2nd time I wasted several hours dealing with MS support...It's better now but holy hanna what a goatshow
My dell laptop encountered an error. With windows 11 after i tried resetting my Microsoft Password and tring to reinstall Windows 11 back. With my flash drive

The biggest one for me? Was adding seconds to the clock.. Thank You!!
Wow! Definitely an upgrade that justified a new operating system

Didn’t they have that feature on computers 20 years ago?

Some of the tips were new for me. Very good. Thanks!
Very informative video as always BIT! Yet another video to bookmark! Thanks! 👍👍
This video is awesome! I learned so many useful tips and tricks for Windows! 👍👍
Always valuable. I get more than one new feature every time.

Brett,Thank you very much!
Great video, thanks 👍🏻
Capture text from photos or anything with OCR Win+Shift+T
Doesn't that require powertoys?
@@siddiki9778 Dude you're right. Text Extractor.

(Good tips!) 😎✌️
Microsoft would have got more marks if the meaning of question would have been answered with 42. 😁
This video has exactly 42 comments 😮😮
Literally the only reason I waited for the answer was to see if it mentioned 42....
Bring a towel!
Great work 👍🏼🇨🇦

When is MS going to make the taskbar movable and allow similar windows to be separate? Just 2 of the things I hate about 11.
did they remove the screen recorder from the snipping tool?
why i don't have the notepad and screen recording features
If you're on windows 11, type them into the Search box. The shortcut doesn't work.
I'm using this with the voice typing lol
Anyone who's read or watched "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" knows that the meaning of life is 42.
I see you're a weird al fan. nice

I added a font. It works in Word, but not Paint. I've tried repair, reset, and even downloaded it, again. Help? ☹️
windows media player legacy THANK YOU

@@bujin1977 Thanks. I couldn't remember it exactly, and I was too lazy to look it up. Also, I was sitting on the toilet. So there's that!
@@GrantSR Best place to be when contemplating the answer to the ultimate question!
how do you enable the read aloud feature in bing. I noticed it was reading out the answer for you. How do you enable that?
The meaning of life is 42
One thing to know. If you use clipboard history, it will store things such as passwords that you copied and pasted.
nice video as always.
many of these were freeware in the 90s. Microsoft still stinks at envisioning and creating operating systems.
Every one of these features is easily available for Windows 10.
i think removeing timeline did more bad then all theys features combined
🤔

Windows 10 + 11 very BAD!
I liked that meaning of life question but the answer was not all that good.
