I just played through Halo Reach on Legendary, I can't imagine how hard it would be on LASO, let alone LASO Deathless, this game was complete pain just on legendary alone. You're forced to sit back and spam percision weapons or just use the noob combo.
i never considered using the spartan laser at the end there. I may try that next time I LASO this game, because there's like a 50% chance of dying before the cutscene plays due to the phantoms.
Small, itty bitty correction. On Sword Base, he doesn't do a Wrath trick to get that wrath. He simply has to kill the elite that way in order to get into the wrath at all, and that's how it is in Reach. For some reason, when you melee a Wrath driver to death, the vehicle always dies. On Long Night of Solace, you showed him melee a Wrath to death, as an example. EDIT: Actually, he does that because of the Tilt skull, not because that's just how meleeing the driver works in Halo: Reach.
@@Shadow0fd3ath24 theanimeman97 is correct. You can drive an empty wraith at any time, empty wraiths don't automatically explode. When you board a wraith and melee, it causes dmg to the wraith and the driver and because of the skulls the driver takes longer to kill then the wraith... so the wraith will always die first on laso with just boarding melees. You board and hit the wraith a couple times is just to pop the cover off, Jumping on the wraith without boarding is just easier/safer to kill the driver.
@@WW.William You added the most important part: "On LASO." I kept searching through my memories, and I couldn't remember if it's a skull thing, or it's always like this with no skulls on. It's totally not a thing if you're not playing LASO, or I guess with specifically Tilt on.
I think the warthog may be faster because tilt makes the kinetic weaponry do more vehicle or building damage (not 100% sure). That being said it's off the ground, you don't have to faf around and line up the revenant after killing the jackels walking by, and the revenant's screen shake may annoy you, while the warthog can just be point and shoot, hold the button and drink your coffee. Either works but a chance to let go of everything except fire and take a breath is useful, heck this is why laso in Halo 2 is so good, cause in the middle of a deathless run you just go hide in a corner for 10 minutes to force a door to open. It's only about a third into the run so you can relax before it starts getting harder now that you got a run going.

Man I wish I'd actually streamed when I lifed this game on 360, 13 years ago. I didn't even know this was considered an "impossible challenge". My three favorite things to do back then were soloing a Heroic FF Duo match deathless, farming 80 kill games of Invasion, and looking up how to LASO'lo this game, and try to be cleaner about it than the person who taught me. Some of them were hard, and I did die a lot. But some of my fondest memories are bringing my clan members with me for LASO Campaign challenges and surgically making everything my b***h with the needle rifle, while they cowered 1 shot, or were spectating. I knew where to farm ammo, where I could stand to kill the deadliest run-enders before they ever saw me, and everything got noob combo'd with headshot weapons. I could abuse skulls and out maneuver any single enemy as long as I was smart and could isolate them quickly. We were super poor and Halo was the first console shooter I ever played. Reach was where I perfected it. My final self imposed Halo challenge before going to DS3 and learning how to parry everything that could be parried, was doing my last LASO'LO run deathless, but I was only allowed to use the worst guns. No plasma pistol, no needle rifle, no DMR, no sniper or rocks or FRG. Half of it was skipping sh*t, but forced fights were grueling but tightly managed. But I've always been bad with computers, and I was improperly medicated when I was 16. I would have been infamous for being a rage case, and likely made the News if I'd ever accidentally recorded any of the endless screaming matches, police calls and abuse in my household, had I ever been savvy enough to get a camera going and stream it to a PC. I'm too old and rusty to go back and attempt to emulate it as a Streamer. I've chilled out immensely since then and I play Halo with my kids for the nostalgia and peace it brings me still.
After writing my comment, I'm 3 minutes in and ohhhhh my god I am cheesing watching all the little glitches and skips I used to show my clanmates that blew their minds.
this isnt a impossible challange i did this and completed this after 2 years the game came out, yess without getting killed once on legendary difficulty
I dunno how anyone would think that LASO Deathless was impossible. LASO necessitates basically never dying due to the iron skull. Deathless Reach would basically just be pulling off 10 LASO levels all in a row. Of course, would be very hard, but not impossible. If you can do one level deathless, which is what Iron Skull requires, you can do all of them deathless.
While completing each level once deathless means it's possible, it's moreso about rng and stamina. If you can complete one level sure, but every level in a row with so many different strats, it takes a toll on your stamina and you get tired and nerves hit. Yes it's possible but it's not possible for most players based on skill cap. That being said, iron skull can be bypassed so it's a lot easier to beat laso than people may think. But legitimately deathless is the true challenge.
Yeah I know it's really hard, but I would never call it impossible. Someone was going to get it eventually, it was inevitable. And now they have. And about the stamina/endurance thing, you could take long breaks between missions to resettle. Pause the game and relax for a bit. Even come back the next day if you have to.
@@hellowill And like I said, deathless laso doesn't mean you can't pause it. Doing the whole LASO campaign, sequentially, mission after mission in a row, is not a time dependent requirement. You can do it over a week if you want to. Of course, this guy definitely marks what could be considered a LASO Deathless Speedrun, so he holds the world record. _Now,_ you could consider extra stakes on the challenge. Since he has set a minimum time to beat, all subsequent LASO Deathless runs can be judged in time compared to this one. You could not just break for a day unless you just want to know you've done the challenge but not push anything forwards.
I liked the video. Interesting, but I have a recommendation, avoid abusing the word ass or some similar ones, gets repetitive quite fast and could worsen the viewer experience

Yeah too bad recording wasn't as accessible back then. Or fast internet.

It’s impressive don’t get me wrong but the glazing is a bit crazy
Would you rather the video be monotone, slow paced, boring?
I hate the blind skull
Bro is a MEGA CHAD gamer - but might have the weakest Reach Drip ever? Hahaha I jest man what a legend
You make 7 hours sound like a lot 😅 my legendary is usually 9-10
Nice 😊
Why does he constantly have night vision turned on?

this isnt a impossible challange i did this and completed this after 2 years the game came out, yess without getting killed once on legendary difficulty
this is LASO legendary all skulls on
I dunno how anyone would think that LASO Deathless was impossible.
LASO necessitates basically never dying due to the iron skull. Deathless Reach would basically just be pulling off 10 LASO levels all in a row.
Of course, would be very hard, but not impossible. If you can do one level deathless, which is what Iron Skull requires, you can do all of them deathless.
Do u know how many laso deathless full game runs exist?
Food for thought. If someone can run 4min mile once, it doesn't mean 40min 10 mile is possible.
Eh. Skipping all the fights seems rather against the spirit of the challenge!
I can understand that viewpoint, it does kinda suck that u like literally just don’t have enough ammo to kill stuff the regular way
