You have a few big guns
whats with Americans and their obsession with odd numbers and 11 you have 5-11 now, then 7-11 and 9-uhh
So is this wildcat round or a factory round?

What did you think about the 700 BMG ?!? I hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!

Please respond I'm a big fan
Hello
I think it’s a big gun, but good lord you said that before anyone could watch it lol
It looks crazy lol
I swear to god, Scott can always find a bigger gun to add to his collection 😂
Waiting for him to get a 20mm or bigger.
Imagine a 50 BMG + 4 bore lol
He'll have a shoulder fired howitzer, next week. 😂😂😂
Soon he will be shoulder firing a 30mm cannon
few years down the line he'll just attach a stock to the back of a tank
One of things I love about Scott is that he nearly died from shooting a 50bmg and instead of giving it all up he continues to fire Mammoth GUNS what a CHAMP❤
He's built up a resistance to .50BMG. :P Soon the only thing that could stop him is the 16in rifles on the Iowa-class.
@@5peciesunkn0wnskillet is the best
He’s a unit and a tank lives to tell the tail I love Scott he’s awesome
@5peciesunkn0wn I'd like to see someone shoot those Iowa class guns! I for one have fired them in my younger days. 😂
.50 BMG couldn't finish me, so let's find something that can. -Scott
Scott: *almost dies to a 50BMG explosion*
Also Scott: 🎼Can we get much higher🎶
A gun like this would normally sit in a private collection and the public would never see it. Glad this channel makes it financially viable for Scott to buy all these rare exotic guns and share them with us.
That's the beauty of what he does. A "collection like that" is totally useless, unless displayed to the public in the way it was intended to operate. He's showing millions of people something few will ever see or know about! As it should be.
@@hldelling55delling75 Right? Because what's the point of having firearms if they aren't going to be shot once in a while?
Scott: Has a near-death experience with a high caliber rifle.
Also Scott: WE NEED TO GO BIGGER!!!
And even will use the same caliber, sometimes the same gun
@@LawrenceOakhearthe won't use the single shot rifle 50bmg that the hot round was in, he always uses a pull string and that's because that rifle is a death trap, these guys can't talk or even acknowledge it but I haven't seen any guntubers use it since.
@@SneakdisscommentbelowHonestly you aren't wrong about it being pretty much abandoned in use. I see everyone bust out a Barret (might have spelled that wrong) or the Desert tech. Well to be fair others are used just not the RN.
The exact second I read this I got a suicide prevention ad. 😂
Seems like a lot of people need to check out Marks videos, about the forces the RN 50 can actually withstand. Not to mention how goddamn viciously overloaded those slap rounds were. The person that loaded the fked up batch, perhaps should be charged with attempted homicide. 🤔🤷♂️
6:52 that catch was so clean
There is actually a bigger cartridge based on the .50 BMG case. And that's the .729 Jongman! Created by an Australian gunsmith. That's .50 BMG necked up to 12 Gauge, which I believe is the largest diameter bullet it can contain. 😛 Shoot it!
There are only two things that Scott never runs out of. Bigger guns and random condiments in big jars

And tables
I hope his army of ants eats well.
And….apparently Chronographs
At what point do they become cannons?
The biggest problem with your whole channel is no matter how big the guns are, next to you, they look normal sized!!!
love the channel @CivilianTactical
You need to be certified!!
Now, I really want to see him shoot the kiddies .22 rifle
"This thing weighs 20lbs" *waving it around like a plastic tube*
ahhh yes, the "Cricket" single shot@@ollie3229
Scott, I'm pretty impressed with what your shoulder can take. That is another awesome rifle you have added to the channel. Absolutely the most awesome gun tuber there is.
Scott, a few years back Ian did a video at Rock Island of a 950jd. It was a pretty MASSIVE gun, and it would be perfect for you if you can find one. As far as other targets for the 700, I think everyone would agree that a zombie needs to feel it's wrath. Also, it would be neat to see your wooden maul used on a fresh zombie torso. Just to see what that thing can do to an uncompromised chest and head. You truly are a modern barbarian. 80's Arnold would be proud. ^_^
Pretty sure like 4 .950 JDJs were made total. God knows if any still exist
Great video! Scott is 'The Gun Boss'!

@@ariesmight6978 I'm sure everyone's shoulders were fine.
Since they're heavy enough that you shoot them from a Tripod.

First man to literally fire a 'hand canon'
@@ahealthkit2745 No kidding. I love firing any guns but if offered I'd passed on this one myself. OMG what's next?
I think though one of these points we'll see his poor shoulder waving a white flag in desperation.
@@RainSaveremDude's shoulder 'bout to take French leave.
"This here is a 15,000 grain projectile" the numbers get out of control very quickly.
I'm not sure what's more impressive, this gun or the fact that you effortlessly found every single fired bullet 😲
Except the one that hit the plate.
My shoulder hurt watching him do that and the rest of my body
They're so big... you can't really miss em.
Found your channel just a couple weeks ago. I'm not a "gun guy" but hot damn do I like big things dismantling big things. I appreciate that you are still basically twelve years old living the dream, stay safe out there and thanks for brightening up my days with a new nightly routine!
Fascinating results on those cement blocks! I've never seen anything like this before. Great, fun video and presentation! Love it!
God bless all here.
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Scott is secretly a Space Marine, able to carry a heavy bolter on one hand while running.😂
While I would love to claim him for the Black Templars he's clearly a Salamander with that cheerful attitude.
@@clothar23 IMO small dogs bark loudest and the cheeriest guys are actually the most angry. That and the way he manhandles tables, i'd call him an Angry Marine XD

Scott, you are a true gem of TH-cam. Your humor, editing, sound effects, it's all just glorious
It’s all the same video, only the gun changes
It can get old. Nice to take a break for a month or so.
Don't forget the amazing funny characters he created, imagine a movie where every character is played by him - I would watch it. I am grateful that you are here today Scot.
watching your videos with my sons has been so amazing, God bless you and your family Scot.
Thanks for showing viewers that you can have fun and be gun safe,.keep up the good work thanks.
The actual round might be insane, but what's more insane is how you get your hands on rifles this rare.
Bob has connections man.
Shhh he is a billionaire in secret. He can get his hands on anything he wants. Doesn't matter how rare it is and share the experiences on here. He is not selfish. If that is truly the Case. If so he has sponsors to make it as that's his income wink 😉 lol
I feel like at this point he has built such a reputation with these types of firearms that when they become available people seek him out as a potential buyer.
I can't believe all these awesome videos would never have existed if he didn't put his thumb in it that day 👍
If he keeps going bigger and bigger, he may one day show us the glory of the .950 JDJ 😮
The 4 bore is close. 1" diameter bullet.
@@vicroc4Close. THe 4 bore is 2150 grains, while the .950 is 2600 grains. I'd love to see Scott shoot it 😂

Great Video, love Scott's sense of humour! It's great fun watching him shoot these exotic, mammoth guns!
Actually, a little over a decade ago some guys started playing with Savage bolt action slug guns and created the 12 Gauge From Hell project. They took 50 BMG brass and necked it up to .729 and put rims on the case heads. Very similar to this actually.
I'm sorry. Necked up? That had to look wild
I have a Savage bolt gun in 12 gauage with a rifled barrel. Not sure the action is robust enough for a high pressure custom build.
@@perarduaadastra873 The original 12 GAFH was built with a custom thick barrel. Others made less potent versions with standard barrels.
That sigh of absolute regret every time he chambers another round …
I feel that.
Thank you Scott’s shoulder for your work in advancing ballistic science 🫡🫡
I don't know, I think that's more the pain in his wallet than in his shoulder.
An awesome round to see you get ahold of is a .950 JDJ. It is a 3,600 grain bullet traveling at 2,200ft/s and its parent case is the hispano 20mm.
There's nowhere to go after that.

Scott is the only man who singlehandedly increases my attention span. Great video!
As neat as these larger calibers are, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from this channel, the .416 Rigby is the pinnacle. Anything larger produces results of diminishing returns.
I would be interested in seeing Scott hit a target with some kind of force sensor. The Rigby does seem to be the sweet spot for a big punch AND penetration. The bigger calibers aren't necessarily meant to penetrate as much, but likely transfer much more energy into the target.
Agreed; it is the most practical of his mega-rifles. The others are cool (and expensive) toys, but I wouldn't hunt with one.
.416 produces the same force as 450 nitro so it definitely hits above its weight
My friend when you are hunting the mega fauna of Africa the Rigby might start feeling awful small when a bull elephant tries to charge you for real
Scott should get a .416 weatherby magnum. It’s the same bullet as the rigby, but usually 300 ft/s faster. That round would be unstoppable
6 rounds out of that 700 BMG, and Scott still had the strength to pick that mallet up and swing it multiple times. 🤯 🦾
I fired 8 shots of a .45/70 Derringer last summer ... could not hold a coffee for 2 days !
Scott is a BEAST ! (My weight is 220 pounds, former German Seal)
He channeled his inner Gallagher.

Nice to see another big rifle find the right home. My complements to the gunsmith.
I remember someone else doing this on TH-cam and calling the caliber 700wtf. It does make me wonder how difficult it would be to alter a Barrett to fire it? Barrel and different springs?
Watching Scott shoot the ballistic gel almost knocked me backwards out of my chair....that is a BIG Friggin bullet. Great vid...
For those wondering about Muzzle velocity, i've estimated that in oder to produce 200+lb of recoil as Scott stated, with a 20 lb rifle, 1000 grain bullet, and 50bmg powder weight of around 250 grains, you'd need to push the bullet at anywhere between 2300 fps (199.85 lbs) to 2400 fps (211.26 lbs).
Glad you posted, I was sad about the chrono on this one lol
Every time I think Scott can’t bring out a crazier gun, he always does
Like somebody else said, artillery is on the horizon. Edit: stay safe Scott...I don't want to see a homemade cannon, as every few years somebody shoots those and it often blows up.
@@raylopez99 I think of all people Scott probably understands why not to combine high caliber weapons with questionable ammunition/craftsmanship

The twisty spiral bolt on the 700 BMG is a beast, it accentuates the rest of the rifle nicely. I really like the beautiful woodwork too.

That blued McMillan Tac 50 action is gorgeous!
"What is this? Some sort of kung fu bullet?" is probably my newest favorite line from Scott. Also love that Scooter and Tactical T-Rex made an appearance in the video too.
I'd love to see you get the Slow mo guys on again, and just do an episode on all the big-bore rifles you've got. Both for just seeing how impressive they are in much greater detail.. and the more obvious seeing what they do to a ballistic dummy in super slow motion. *Edit: You could also do something like have Gav or Dan stand beside you, line up right, and then both shoot at the same time. You with a big bore, and the other with a more typical caliber of rifle. See how the recoil compares more directly or something? I just want to see more stuff get turned into bits in slow motion, really. I'm not overly picky.
YES PLEASE SCOTT

You and your elephant gun-itis has inspired me to the point where I went out and bought one for myself. It's a Win. Model 70 in .458 Win. Magnum. I haven't shot it yet, but I just received some ammo, so I'm all set.
I have a .375 H&H Mag, but I needed MORE POWER!
Hey Scott! I'm not sure if it's possible to find one in a condition to be shot or whether any ammunition is available for it, but there's a REALLY big rifle from WWI called the M1918 Tankgewehr. It's an anti tank rifle that fires a 13mm round. It would probably be similar to .50 BMG.
Probably only something you can find in a museum, but if there's someone out there that could make a replica, it would be awesome to see!
there are Tankgewehrs on the market still, Ian ala Forgotten weapons put a few rounds through one to hypothetically test if it could in fact punch through tank armor of the era.
@@Rixolinot surprised, it is a pretty fricin cool rifle
I sold 7 rounds of 14.5 x 114 mm dad picked up at a gun show decades ago on Gunbroker a couple years ago. Those 7 rounds brought $400. Massive round, and dwarfs the 50 BMG. HUGE case capacity. Rounds are a touch longer than a dollar bill. Russian round. Machine gun round, but have been shoulder fired rifles chambered in it. I have pictures, but cannot post them here, but you can look it up. Shoots a 994 grain AP bullet at 3300 fps!

Yep
Neither the JDJ or this monstrosity needs to exsist lmao. I want one,

Just as entertaining as ever. Another great video.
I didn’t even know such a gun existed, the other night I was on a big bore binge and found out the 4 bore has a big brother the “2 Bore” 1.326 inch bore that shoots a 3500 grain bullet at 1500fps a few of them are out there and I feel like Scott needs one 👍
The fact that such a high caliber rifle can hold 3 rounds is absolutely astonishing, can't wait to see you give this thing high capacity tactical mag
The rounds take up the same amount of space as .50 bmg. They usually hold more than 3.
@@Steve-ev6vx scott said in the video that only 2 of those guns are made, and the ammo is scarce. i think we have reason to believe that 3 rounds is a lot.

Holy cow I love this channel for the crazy guns
For Scott to shoot these crazy rifles after what he went through just amazes me! He deserves the viewers he attracts and then some. That barrel flash looked insane, like shooting a stick off a stick of dynamite! Looking at the lead, it reminds me of what a civil war soldier must have felt like walking through a hail of mine balls, only add 50x the energy!
The 1861 Springfield rifle-musket, the 1853 Enfield rifle-musket and the Confederate Richmond rifle-musket all used a .58 caliber Minie ball. These rifles and projectiles lent themselves to such great accuracy as to make frontal assaults virtually suicidal. Half of the Confederate soldiers participating in Pickett's Charge did not make it to the Union lines.
NONE of the Union soldiers assaulting Marye's Heights made it to the wall.
I love how your channel has evolved and has allowed you to get your hands on some of the rarest and coolest guns ever made.

good to see that Scooter is responding better to constructive criticism. That's real growth right there.
On top of everything else the fact that it has an internal magazine is crazy. The fun you have in these videos is infectious.
I'll suggest Furbies as a future target.
Bad idea. Shooting cursed targets is how you get a cursed range
Then it's too late as there have already been many Furbies felled on that range.
I never thought you could fit 1000usd worth of ammo in a rifle without even a detachable magazine. Also, that cinderblock bullet mushroomed a little too well 😅
pp bullet lol
Suggestion. A needle nose bodkin shaped bullet that is so long that first you have to load the shell then you need to muzzle load the bullet into the shell because attached to the shell it would be 3 inches too long to fit breach loaded.
The fact he can hold steady and pull the trigger on some of these without flinching knowing full well what is about to happen to his shoulder is amazing... I dont think i could do it...
Great video as always!!
Hey Scott that .700 BMG made me think of this anti tank rifle from WW1. The tankgewehr m1918, for your next target zombie torso all the way, the sheer devastation of that round would be mind blowing Cheers from Canada :)

Hey Scott, I think you should get a scale that records the kick of these large guns. It would be interesting to see if this gun or the 4 bore has the bigger kick.

I'm quite surprised Scott hasn't got himself a 20mm of some description yet.🤣
Thank you for doing things like this so us mere mortals aren't absolutely destroyed in the attempt.
Scott you should design a test to show how hard these rifles kick. Like put one in front of one of those machines that show how hard you punch and let it recoil into that
In a video with Eddie Hall he had a backdrop with lines at one inch intervals to show show far back the two men were pushed as they fired ever heavier rifles
That would be awesome. Something to measure the impact force would be too.
