Great insights. Do you know how to create a car suspension and steering in a single CATIA part body (CATPart) using knowledge, parameters, laws, formulas etc. rather than create a kinematics workbench? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Is it possible to have some geometry-properties as a parameter? I am trying to generate a curve depending on the local curvature of another curve. So what i tried is to set up a law with a curvature-measurement as input, but i did not get it to work. Thank you
sir, can you please make a vedio explaining in detail about the sweep surface definition , its profile type and use of optional element .. that will be really helpful for concept clarification thankyou in advance
The best teacher, I'm learning more about this tool.
Thanks :)
How do I get a parametric cable with a set length and a bend radius limit?
Therefore you have to use programming. Sorry - I´don´t do programming in catia.

Sorry, I´m just a trainer - not an engineer. You would do that in an assembly, to do it in one part would be sort of useless.

You can use a sketch as parameter, just take a look at the parameterlist if you create a parameter.
How can I display "Parameters"? My version doesn't show it
Please watch my catia v5 shorts - th-cam.com/users/shortsHLXHSwy9xbk
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Thank you very much, do you have a "short" where it shows How to change your reference system?
Your channel is very good Wolfgang. Just subbed!
Great, thanks!
Thank you very much. Well done video tutorial. I learnt something new.
Great - you´re welcome.
How can we do if we don't have law function in sweep
I think it is not possible do achieve the same model without that option.
sir can you tell this in siemens nx 11?? please thanks in advance
There is already a video : th-cam.com/video/61n9nmlbouM/w-d-xo.html - you should be able to use the search in my channel, shouldn´t you?
Great tutorial!
Thx - you´re welcome.
Respected sir , i was talking about this video , how can we do in Siemens nx ?? I am sorry if I disturbed you.
I´ve done this exercise in NX - your first comment was below that NX video. That is the way to do it in NX.
hi. what is diff between a low created by fog and a low created in formula windows (using add formula)???
+shayan roohbakhsh Simple - created with FOG it is a law - created with formula it is a formula.
+Wolfgang Walden so if i want to draw a helix that it's pitch increases 1 mm in each revolution . i have to use low or formula?
+shayan roohbakhsh If you creat a helix - there is button at the right side of the pitch value : LAW - so I would assume you need a law.
Sir, how can I put the parallel curve in a sketch to extrude it?
Hi, what do you want to achieve? A parallel curve to extrude?
+Wolfgang Walden Hi, sir. I want to do a solid which one face has a sinus profile.
Ok, I see. So create the sinus profile the same way as i did in my video. Then make a new sketch and project that curve into your sketch.
+Wolfgang Walden is there a specific function to project the curve into a sketch?
LOL - this function is available in almost every CAD-program. It is in the sketcher, you can project edges etc. in your sketch plane.
I can't draw a bellow drawing can you please help ?
Sorry, what would be a "bellow"?
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training bellow its like a hand air blower ,
Earlier days it was used for firing a forge
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training i can share the drawing can you please give me your mail ID , you can understand my problem much better then

Take a look here: th-cam.com/video/DcXAfps6l_o/w-d-xo.html
I will do a remake in HD soon.
Wolfgang Walden thanku sir , vedio was useful , adding voice will be great. Your way of explanation is best ..
Thanks for your praise :)
Sir how you decided the law
Just made it up, so it looks interesting
You can use PI*n to control the frequency
