we heartily appreciate your efforts sir ....God bless you :)
hexagonal lamina of 30 mm sides rests on HP on one of its sides. the side which is on HP is perpendicular to VP and the surface of the lamina is inclined to HP at 45°.the lamina is then rotated through 90° such that the side on HP is parallel to the VP, While the surface is still inclined to HP at 45°. Draw the front view and the top view of the lamina in its final position
Im also want answer for this daigram
I m draw tha diagram😎
Hello sir, you have said in the previous videos if edge is to be inclined in the third part, you have to make it perpendicular in the first step, but in this video, the diagonal is parallel to HP.
I said that about edge and side and not about diagonal
I'm fromm Andhra Pradesh ...ur English communication is good ..to understand and very nice explanation..tnq a lot...

sir u solved the question by taking the daigonal through a corner horizontal to xy reference line but as u have told in your previous videos that line inclined to h.p or v.p should be perpendicular to xy reference line
Sir, in the 3rd projection where you have take points 2 n 3 can on that line we take 1 and 2?
at first it is so complicated now its soo simple....
thank you very much
Thanks for your comments Paranay.....

In this video you initially kept the diagonal parallel to xy line which was later to be inclined ,but in your earlier videos you stated that the line which is to be inclined finally should be kept perpendicular to xy line . I mean there are some exceptions
Yes i said about the edge/side, but did i ever say that about diagonal...I believe not....

Sir heres the question
"A circular plane of 60mm diameter is resting on H.P on a point of circumference. The plane is inclined to H.P such that plan of it is an ellipse of 40 mm minor axis. The minor axis makes an angle of 45° to V.P. Draw projection of plane and find its inclination with H.P."
How to find inclination with H.P ?????
Sir plz respond as quickly as possible...
Thank you sir...
Smartly, u explained all things perfectly
Thanks for such a good explanation. Great help !!.
But it is already given that surface is inclined at 45 degree to HP
Sir, I have a doubt about diagonal .. as the diagonal is making an angle.. so in first step we need keep it perpendicular to xy...
yup! i have also the same doubt if u have find the ans please comment below
regular hexagon of 40 mm side has a corner in the H.P. Its surface
is inclined at 45° to the H.P. and the top view of the diagonal

Super sir .I will definitely suggest to see these videos to our classmates.
Sir please make lectures on machine drawing based on assembling lathe, plumber block, machine vice, pedestal bearing ,and rivete ,cotter
Sir but in the question he asked to incline the diagonal passing through the corner in H.P is inclined at 60°

You are the God for me
A regular hexagon of side 30 mm has one of its sides inclined at 30° to VP. Its surface makes an angle of 60° with the ground. Draw its projections
Sir in this solution you took point 2 & 3 on the 60 degree line......but can we make this by taking 1 & 2 on that line?........this came 1st in my mind instead of 2 &3
Beautiful lesson. Please which app are you using.
Hello sir can you solve this question for me
An hexagonal of pyramid of 60mm sides has a corner on the horizontal plane of axis 100mm. the axis is inclined at 60 degree to the horizontal plane and top view of the diagonal through the corner which is in horizontal plane makes an angle of 60 degree to the vertical plane. draw the projection using auxiliary plane method
I have a doubt. The diagonal perpendicular to xy is fb/ec. So shouldn't they be inclined at 60 degrees rather than ac
Here we have to select taht diagonal whose one corner is in HP. And u can clearly see that....
I would advise u sumedh to watch the video once again.....I am sure u gonna crack it............
Q1: A regular hexagon of 40 mm side has a corner in the H.P. Its surface is inclined at 45" to the H.P. and the top view of the diagonal through the corner which is in the H.P. makes an angle of 60° with the V.P. Draw its projections.
Thanks sir really best ❤and luckily this is from provided pyq's of my university

Thank you for clearing our concept
Iam watching for my mid-2 exam .
sir wont it be b'f' instead of f'b' ? we are looking from the front...so f would appear behind b ,right?

Can in the third step can we just take the diagonal passing from the corner on the line which is making 60 to vp sir....??

Sir,here we have to incline the daigonal 60° to VP not a side..Can u please explain.
Side bc is parallel to diagonal ad ao if bc is at 60 with vp then ad will also be
this is simply super sir. thanks sir.and keep moving
Why is ad parallel to xy line and not perpendicular?
Sir u said 3 rd case mentioned line should be perpendicular to xy line but u have taken another way can u explain
Sir my doubt is , in the last step you are assuming and drawing the rectangle . How can it be done on the sheet of paper ?
Can you tell me is this problem similar to this one. A regular hexagonal plate 40mm side is resting on one of its edges on H.P. The plan makes an angle of 30°to HP and the longest diagonal makes an angle of 45° with V.P. Draw it's projection.
In a step 3 given that diagonal is at angle 60 degee.. You drew it 60 degree below the xy line at right hand side corner but it we draw it at left side than it will be correct???
Yes you can but the most important thing is that the angle made should be equal to 60 degrees be clockwise or anticlockwise with respect to the xy line
@@ManasPatnaikofficial thank you.. If I will totally follow you in EG then i can never lose one single mark in EG.. 😊
Sir...u once said that the line which is to be inclined in the 3rd step should be kept perpendicular with XY line in the first step...so in this case we r inclining the diagonal ad at an angle 60° in the 3rd step...so shouldn't the diagonal ad to be kept perpendicular to XY line in first step???N yes...i know that we have to select that hexagon whose one cornor is lying on hp....bt if we do that...then there is a violation of the above rule (the line which is to be inclined in the 3rd step should be kept perpendicular with XY line in the first step...)
+Darshit Gandhi darshit.....the edge or side which is to be inclined in step 3 has to be kept perpendicular to xy line in step1.
Diagonal is a different case alltogether.....
Manas Patnaik ohhkay sir....got it....n thank you so much sir for uploading this kind of videos....these videos r very helpful🙌
+Darshit Gandhi
Enjoy the videos Darshit....
Good luck...
y we use 60 degrees angle? ...we gonna use angles as our wish ??
The internal angle for hexagon is 120..Thats why

Sir when it is given in the question that the diagonal form the point in HP is inclined to VP, aren't v supposed to draw the hexagon vertically in d first step??? I got a bit confused bcoz u said whichever edge is finally inclined should be kept perpendicular first.... Is it so because it is a diagonal n not an edge??? Plz answer
Exactly i said whichever edge or side is inclined ...but i never said so about the diagonal.....
Hope u get the point .....
@@ManasPatnaikofficial sir so if it's a diagonal is it correct to always take it the other way, I mean not perpendicular rather parallel???
Or just don't take the diagonal into consideration in the first step???
Yes......
@@ManasPatnaikofficial sir Tq
U really teach far better than my teachers here in NIT
a wrong rotation of hexagon has be adopted by you sir
U said to keep the edge inclined perpendicular to the xy line which is not the case with diagonal AD so can I conclude from this that this doesn't work always
Yes i said about the edge/side, but did i ever say that about diagonal...I believe not.....
Manas Patnaik OK sir thank you now I got it
Hello sir... I have a question... Why did you changed the position of hexagon...
Since u drew the true shape at a distance from axis line shouldn’t the third figure also be inclined at 60 degrees from that spot rather than the axis line?
Thats not necessary....

How they can be drawn if we draw the second condition at an angle 60 degrees to vp in that case how they can represent 2,3 line
Best thing to do in corona vacation
Sir aren't you considering beta construction? Here we have reduced length and not the true length in second stage so corresponding how can you take phai angle with reduced length?
Sir I have a doubt
in your all videos you said that anything which has to be inclined in 3 step should be Drawn perpendicular to X-Y line
but here you have drawn the diagonal parallel to X-Y plane which is inclined in 3rd step
Yes i said about the edge/side, but did i ever say that about diagonal...I believe not....
Thanks sir for clearing my doubts
Always welcome.....
