    Thank you Jason! As I stream my sporting events there are times/situations when the Mevo Start cameras have their limitations. I’ve seriously considered Yolo but I didn’t want to scrap the investment on my Mevo cameras. Now I can have my cake and eat it too 😂🎉

      And if I were a betting man, I’d bet Yolo will be adding NDI to the YBP in a future update. I’ve seen some questions asked on forums making me think they are considering it.

    Excellent sleuthing here. I really want to see the baseball implementation when you get there. I used the Mevo PiP on my Android tablet this weekend and it was a big success. Having this hopefully would allow me to get my fence cam with the 120mm lens involved in the stream along with the Mevos.

      I cant wait to try this with baseball! Sounds like you’ll have a great setup with the combo.

    Wow……this is awesome! The other thing to make mention of is that during wireless connection the Mevo cam’s will have to be within the standard 50 foot distance in order to connect, but this is awesome stuff. I can’t wait to try it out next week. Thanks Jason

      Right. All normal limitations apply, but it really does open our options! Thanks Brad!

    Hi Jason,
    Thank you for saving my day. I was looking for something like this to cover my cricket match.
    One question “Can we live stream from two cameras in yolo at the same time wirelessly ?”

  • @GordonGidluck

    Interesting solution!

      Definitely a workaround for now, but I’m very optimistic about YBP providing NDI integration soon.

    Another great video. This is a great option and I’m still trying to decide between upgrading my iPad or getting a yolobox. Are you able to switch between camera views without going back to the multi view?

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you decide on the YoloBox will you also buy an HDMI camera? TopDirectorView is set up to have to go back into the multiview screen to choose the next camera. I have made the feature request with the developer to allow a swipe to do the same. Maybe of a few of us make the same request…

      The app: Top Director, also allows NDI connection, and there is an option in settings that says: "Enable Full Screen External HDMI Output or Screen Mirroring/ Airplay" (turn it on). Then there is another option that says "Display External HDMI output or Screen Mirroring/Air Play Safe area".. (turn that off). Then you have a clean output signal of the MAIN VIEW (not the whole app).
      This way you are free to change scenes without having to go out to the Multicamera or "iPad screen" view....
      Then just make the frame adiustments in Yolobox Pro!
      And there you have it.

    Thank you for all your tutorials. Q: When you arrive at a sporting event and there is no internet, I understand you use your mobile data to stream, but are you able to connect all the cameras via that mobile data too or do you bring a router to create a separate network. If so - what band width is needed to make this happen?

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Fred. If I’m using more than two wireless cameras I’ll use the mobile router. I’ve found the Slate 1800 to be a great Wi-Fi 6 travel router. Can be powered with a small battery bank.

    Jason, love your videos. I am desperate for a video switcher (to replace the multicam app) that is wireless that will allow me to use the native optical zoom on my iphone along with my Mevo Starts (presumably through NDI.) any suggestions. The lack of optical zoom on the mevo start is painful

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      TopDirector is one several have had success with. I have not, but my experience seems to be the exception. Is Multicam app just not cutting it for you?

    • @Michael-ll3rk
      @Michael-ll3rk ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JasonHoffmanYT it works great as long as you are using mevos or ios(running Mevo go). But I have go pros and other cameras that I want to be able to use the optical zoom on in order to get over the shoulder shots from center or zoom in. I don’t believe the multicam app will let you do that and on my version of the app it says NDI is “coming soon”. Am I doing something wrong?

    Jason, I'm using a Camcorder with an HDMI transmitter for the centerfield, over the pitcher's shoulder, view of home plate into the Yolobox pro. I'm trying to decide on whether to add additional cameras HDMI transmitters or purchase 3 Mevos.
    Due to the distance, I'm not sure I could get all of the cameras to connect over NDI. If I'm using a HDMI transmitter for centerfield, could the Mevo multicam still be imported via HDMI converter into another HDMI input where all cameras could be displayed and accessible in the Yolobox pro?

      Bro! 🤯 My first thought is yes but I’m going to test it before I commit…

    Jason! I figure it out. The app: Top Director, also allows NDI connection, and there is an option in settings that says: “Enable Full Screen External HDMI Output or Screen Mirroring/ Airplay” (turn it on). Then there is another option that says “Display External HDMI output or Screen Mirroring/Air Play Safe area”… (turn that off). Then just make the frame adjustments in Yolobox Pro! And there you have it.
    Ps. ¿Any recommendations for wireless NDI best connection? (Or how to use Ethernet cable with a hotspot, with 3 mevo CAMs, an iPad and a Yolobox. Since I’m using the iPad output for the HDMI)
    Thanks a lot for your videos.

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. Brilliant!! I haven't tested what you wrote up here, but it looks like you nailed it. Thanks for the work you put into this.
      2. If you ethernet from your mifi hotspot directly to one of your cameras, you should be able to use access point mode and have the other cameras us the one's connection. That would give you the most connected setup while still using the iPad for HDMI.

    Well, I finally got around to hooking this up, but I found that there was some twitching or glitching in the video through the NDI app.and it converted that same way in the livestream. At first I thought it was because the NDI app was in 1080 and the YoloBox was in 720, but I switched them both over and it still did it. Now, I'm using the old YoloBox and not the Pro for now...maybe that's the reason. I have the YokoBox ordered and I'm waiting for it to come in. Maybe that'll be the fix....we'll see.

      I used it like this for one of the cameras in my football stream this past Friday. Used the TopDirectorView app and it worked beautifully with the YBP. Wish you luck in your setup!

    Can you stream from the Mevo to the YoloBox Pro using the add a guest feature of the YoloBox Pro?

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the add a guest feature goes thru a website and Mevo doesn’t have the ability to do so.

      I’ve tried TopDirector a dozen times and had very little success with it. But for this use it might just be the perfect fit. Thanks!
