this is actually a really creative idea. i appreciate that you integrated the key changes so that they didn't feel random i think movement III is going to be stuck in my head for a while now
I think Darius Milhaud did that in a piece titled "Le Beouf sur le Tois." Very creative and effective. Nice piece of music, this. Keep up the good work!
To have a cycle through all the semitones as key centre is quite creative! The first movement is very Haydnesque as B.M. noted; 2nd movement has a texture similar to Beethoven’s Waldstein and for the other sections modern jazz texture; 3rd movement is very playful; 4th movement is emotionally heavier and I like the nocturnal melody and texture there. 5th movement is very interesting with good harmonic progression in the middle section! The comeback of the 1st movement at the end is a great touch as well. What I will critique here is maybe there’s the lack of sonata form in a Sonata since I am quite a traditional guy! Here for me are many beautiful episodes put together but maybe the coherence is less emphasized. But this does not prevent me from enjoying this one! Thanks for sharing! B.t.w it can be great if you join a forum named “Young Composers” with how talented you are. You can share your works there to get reviews from fellow composers and you can review theirs as well! Strangest structured sonata I’ve ever heard. Very cool and unique themes. You trying to challenge Haydn’s place as the funny composer with first mvt. ending? Lol
Overall a lengthy musical pastiche. The oddly brief opening movement is humorous (will be later reprised with different rhythms in the finale) but it barely lasts long enough to guess it's flavor....in the 2nd movement we have what sounds like a bored lounge pianist at the Hotel Torch Song improvising on Haydn and Beethoven, with hints of Chopin and a generous a splash of John Tesh thrown in...Then follows a waltz that is of mid/late 19th century feeling with a bit of jazzyness...the B section is oddly Schumannesque, the whole movement is infused with mad Robert's rhythmic idiom. It's charming. The 4th movement also has this early Romantic mood...again reminiscent of Schumann. There seems to be less of the contemporary flavor in this but the lounge lizard emerges from time to time to help us remember it's 2023...and also Rachmaninov makes a brief appearance...but it's a long and oddly structured movement and what appears to be a coda is only the end of the middle section and in an embellished repeat of the opening material returns. The final movement is a fast tarantella-like folk dance a full flowering of the opening intro....now we hear strangely a Bartokian quality (without the really strong dissonance). The rhythmic alteration near the end is pure Bartok (MUSEPAC) An oddly disorienting listen with all the various styles....quirky with a lot of potential and versatility.

I absolutely love your work! Awesome!!
im shocked that no one has noticed the amazing quotes from khachaturyan’s masquerade waltz in the third movement so far. great and very creative work!
I've certainly noticed it hehe

Where would I find this “Young Composers” forum? Is it a discord server?
Very nice!
This is a very masterpiece of contemporary art!!! I really like the choice of rhythm and sounds throughout the song.
That last movement really needs the sounds of real hammers on strings. It’s so good.
Second reminds me of kapustins first movement of his sinfornetta
Thank you for sharing. Where can I get the sheet music?

О, эта тональная соната, в ре мажоре))) Что-то от Бетховена есть))) А следующая - уже импрессионизм с ладовой нейтральностью in Es (модулирует in B)))
Do you perform these?
I can play these, but I haven’t recorded them or performed them in public yet
7/16 + 9/16 is just 4/4. It would be far easier for a pianist to read if you just wrote it with a syncopation. no need for unnecessary sophistication.
La fecha está mal esta composición es de 1823

Sounds like music composed on a computer and played by a computer
