Do you think its possible to beat vanilla Minecraft with- literally nothing, in a blank void? Well idc because I did it anyways
*After posting this video I realized i should've prefaced that this would require a lot of game breaking mechanics and file swapping lol, sorry if this came across as clickbait or lying, I think its totally fair to see it that way. While making this video the only limitation I set myself was no physical in game cheating, which I now know I probably should've added file swapping to that... I'm still young in the TH-cam space and learning lots of things, and I will definitely add this to the list of things I've learned, and try to grow from it. But despite that thank you for all the love and support on this video, it truly means more to me then I could ever explain, and thank you for reading whatever this was lol

note: this was probably the most difficult video to plan for, to my knowledge no one else has done some of what happens in this video... There was so much file changes and conversions on the world that I'm not even sure if I've been able to cover all of it lol. But thats why I've left a video in the description to show off everything. wait- (still working on it, sorry...)

Just thought I'd include this here instead of replying to all the comments. Thank you for all the support and criticism. I understand some of what I do in the challenge may feel like it defeats the point a little. And that's totally fair. Now I know I should've packed the video a little differently or prefaced that I'd definitely be breaking the game a lot lol. Sorry if the video came across as clickbait or lying, and thanks again for all the support and nice comments, it really means a lot to me

You didn't have to break the stone platform because you could have just used costum layers to make a world where the only layer is an air layer
I probably should've done testing on that lol, but I think It would still generate the platform, I could be wroung though

It would’ve technically been possible to beat this with a single dirt block and tree, it would just be incredibly painful to make the smallest progress at the start.

bro basically did glorified skyblock lol, and shouldve checked if you can do bonus chest for the world gen instead of making new world and changing region files. much love and the vid was great

so to beat the void you have to use godly powers to go into an alternate dimension where a world *does* exist, get skyblock items, and then return to the void where a platform now exist
in other words, you're a god in disguise
Amazing! I think the One Block At A Time update could've worked to obtain end portals, but the beta 1.9 prerelease 3 method feels a lot more creative!

How did you get mobs to spawn? When you start in the void preset the biome is void and mobs do not spawn in that biome

That all is cool. Like, really, it is cool. There's a lot of effort put into this challenge. I appreciate that.
But for me it all feels like overcomplicated cheating. You could get all of those blocks and items, that were indispensable and crucial for the challenge, just from creative menu(like you have to have a set of blocks and items on skyblock including the tree and dirt themselves). And the fact, that you were overcomplicating all that by manipulating with files of different versions of the game is somehow makes me disappointed. Still, this video is cool, I really like the idea, I appreciate the effort, it just feels like this.

look at other challenge videos, they also have to use version swapping, if you call this clickbait, might as well call all videos with version swapping clickbait because they beat it in another version or sum shit
