@@doctorboot7191 cdkeys has a totally clean track record and I have no reason to believe that the developer isn't paid for their keys. Find me proof or even strong evidence otherwise, and I'll stop using them. I worked at a AAA company and when I looked into how cdkeys was selling our game for cheap BEFORE it was even out, I was told by legal that no keys were unaccounted for. I've also seen game developers back-end system on steam, where you can generate keys for websites and literally choose these sites from drop down menus to allocate keys in bulk. I believe cdkeys are paying for their keys in bulk, discounted price, and using ads to offset the cost of the keys to the consumer as well as fine tuning prices based on demand. cdkeys has pre-orders, sells dlc, and doesnt sell every game - it's the publishers choice to be on there, and the reason they dont want you buying from there, is because they've already made their money selling to them. That's how I understand it, since doing research. People often compare to G2A. G2A are scum, they are like an ebay of gaming, there's no vetting, and anybody can sell keys on there. This channel, and me working on it full time, turns 2yrs old in a couple weeks! To celebrate, I’ll be doing a video about the history of the channel, and it's best moments / biggest challenges. The reason why some fire only once and some fire multiple times is because some weapons have the „Repeating“ trait. „Repeating“ weapons attack as many times as the amount of action points the unit has left (up to three), while the others only attack once no matter how many action points the unit still has. So the ones that are normal are kinda better suited to running and gunning while the „repeating“ ones are good when camping in cover and taking shots.
My favorite turn based series. My one advice is that you simply need to read everything, read the tooltip, study the units, their abilities. There's a huge amount to discover, hundreds of combos and ways to do things and build up your units, heroes and everything. It's not true that Planetfall is somehow smaller than AoW3, except for maybe not having multiple map layers, but it's arranged differently and it takes quite a bit of time to unravel its complexity and see all that it has to offer.
A couple of things to add on/correct you on. Morale: Morale has a few break points, 200, 400, 600, etc, and at each of those break points you get an increased crit chance. crits do 50% more damage and if any of your attacks (say you attack 3 times) hit, then all hit and do 50% more damage. Technology: Not only is there 2 tech trees, there are also tech trees for every race individually, and tech trees for every secret tech. There are also trees for the type of weapons you do. There is an awful lot of differentiation between campaigns for that reason. Campaigns: The campaigns do tie together just not between races (as far as I can tell) That is why the second vanguard mission cannot be attempted before the first is complete, same with the Kir'ko and Dvar. I also love the game, easily my favourite 4x game ever (though I was never a huge fan of Civ) Would very much like to see more videos from you on this game in the future when you've got more of a grasp on the mechanics.
im impress with the amount of details and depth in this game, lotsa campaign, unit mods, nice graphics, races , etc... that is how game should be when they launch not half done like most developpers
Really? You are talking about those fucking developers who just do this every single game. They release half baked shit and then sell you dlc to finish the game. Glad to see they released a full game for now.
The returning enimes are a ability from the penumbra secret tech you can find the effect only on the units that were there at beginning when These die they spawn Ghost which dont have the abitilty to spawn themselves.
the art in this game is simply amazing .,.. its feel like i am expoloring new world , please i request everyone to support the developer they really deserve it ... thank again paradox for delivering us such quality content , i am in love with this game
I tried to create an 80% water planet 20% land and it didn't work, It could be that I tried to fit 12 players on a small map with 80% water and the game simply doesn't allow it, but it made me think the procedural generated stuff has hidden caps for the sake of playability EDIT: You don't have a single mod on those units :O:O:O:O Mods are the lifeline of units, you don't need tier 3, you just need t3 mods on a t1 unit :D
This looks like it could definitely be cool, my only gripe is after playing a lot of Total War Warhammer 1&2, when viewing the squad based combat I’m like “Umm... they call that an army? That’s like ten dudes plus a couple machines.”, given that I’m used to thinking of an army of 500 men as a fairly small army. I totally get that TW is on the large extreme of army sized and that can spoil you but even still it looks quite small for what is supposed to be an “army” and more like, well, special forces squads fighting each other (which is what this whole “XCom” style combat was originally supposed to represent). Still though I suppose it may be for the best as the combat does look fun and engaging this way and if they decided to like have each unit be represented by 12 men squads instead of 4 that would mean larger hexes to make room for them all which it turn would lead to playing more zoomed out where you couldn’t appreciate the visuals of the units nearly as much (which is a drawback of the Total War system, you have these beautifully detailed models but have to spend the vast majority of the battles too zoomed out to appreciate them much and that takes some of the immersion sways from playing different factions.
Been playing since the release, and frankly I'm slowly realizing it's currently the best, classic turn based 4x on the market (with Distant Worlds remaining the best 4x real time grand strategy).
Game looks pretty and seems fun to play. Been a while since launch so maybe the big bugs have been squashed. It's so tempting, especially since it's 52% off on CD Keys. I just have a huge backlog so I'm gonna finish other games first If you really enjoy this game, why not start a Let's Play series? or try playing Endless Legends, it's awesome!
This is an interesting evolution on Masters of Magic, and Fallen Enchantress, both of which having the formula of a tactical combat 4x hybrid, only in fantasy in those two. You might like.
I'm probably a bit late with that, but seeing how there aren't any comments on it yet: 1. Inessa surely must be a she? Unless they're some weird race who are all male but still use female names for some reason. 2. Zh reads as s in words like pleasure and treasure. Zhelezo is Russian for iron. 3. Rassvet has stress on the last syllable. It's Russian for dawn.
I know it's not a popular opinion... but not being able to have a waifu custom character is a quality-of-life downgrade for me. I understand that some people get offended when all chars are waifus and I see how it can be uncomfortable. But I spent almost half an hour trying to get something that I found pleasing to the eye... just to fail miserably and realize how this was intentionally designed so I couldn't create such character. I still enjoy the game and recommend it... but if you are like me and want a "beauty queen" to rule your empire, this game gives us a big "No-no". (I still couldn't help myself and made a eco-friendly Amazon empire and had tons of fun doing it. So I'll eat my soi and be gud boi)
I guess I never thought about it really - it's a weird thing to criticise "there's no hot protagonists" but I don't disagree that it's valid - it's something I'd have never thought about tbh in this type of game.
Looked for gameplay footage. Found this video of someone playing the game, trying to figure it out as he goes. Does anyone have a link to gameplay without unnecessary boring and uninformed narrative?
No. No no no no no. For the love of god, stop comparing Age of Wonders to the civilization series. Just. Stop. Please. They have nothing at all in common. Nothing. Both games have a tech tree and are turn-based--oh, and Civ copied the hex grid from AoW--that's about as far as the similarities go. If anything, the Age of Wonders series has more in common with Total War games, right down to the army buliding/management, heroes (w/skills, tech, etc.), tiered city building, and diplomacy (or lack thereof). I still blame "reveiwers" for undermining interest in AoW3 when it came out, because all they did was say it was "fantasy Civ V"--which, in turn, gave anyone who was unfamiliar with the series the completely wrong impression.
as other players pointed out, the game is not 4x, but a sci-fi heroes of might & magic. you feel the difference once you play civ6 or stellaris, or endless legend again. furthermore, eurogamer pointed out nicely that faction design is just dull and "space cheese", as they called, a lack of own ideas, compared to, say, stellaris. planetfall will be soon forgotten, and rightfully so, and it is no surprise that it sells to badly currently, and the reviews are dropping for good reason, i.e. the mid to late game.
That Guy 4x =eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate. " Each player takes control of a different civilization or race with unique characteristics and strengths. Most 4X games represent these racial differences with a collection of economic and military bonuses." how planetfall is not a 4x game exactly? 0_o as for the sells...well...people are buying. you say "others said this, others said that". have you actually played the game. if so, can't you have your own opinion on it? instead of "others..."
