  • We have some behaviour problems with Chuck, this is one of the counter conditioning activities we are doing to adjust his nippy snappy biting.

    Seriously, this dog has a good idea what it's about. He may not understand the words, but he knows exactly what the issue is. Terrier intelligence.

    I’ve been exclusively an Airedale guy since our first one in 1973, but I LOVE a Welshie! Yours are both adorable!

    So the naughty, (but improving), dog gets treats and the angelic dog doesn't?

    We had our first Welshie 12 years ago (she died in February this year) and as a puppy up until about 12 months she did the very same and like you we trained it out of her. We have now managed to get an eight month old Welshie and he is doing the very same. I think it is a Welshie/Terrier thing, with a little persistence and training (as you have clearly shown) it can easily be nipped in the bud. All the "experts" telling you your dog has "issues" and is "epileptic" clearly know very little about Welshies/Terriers/maybe even dogs in general. Woah, I bet I've just triggered someone.
    Lovely pair of Welshies, hope you are enjoying them, they are a wonderful dog.

    We have had 2 Welsh Terriers the first in 2002 Bogie and he was a wonderful dog but he as passed on. In 2013 we got Luci she also is a great dog. Love the Welsh Terriers.

    Glad to read he responded to your patient and assertive training. We have had 2 Welsh terriers. Love their intelligence and they need, as you know, clear and calm training with you in charge. They seem to do best when they agree with what you are asking them to do. Never a dull moment, with a sense of humour, and spirit. Our second one is 13 years old and we 'love him to bits.' Never regretted getting a good trainer for his first 2 years who had 2 amazing Border Collies who tune our Finn up, as he was too possessive with everything. He has been good with people and dogs his whole life.

    What are they stuffed with? Hay? Straw? They move and look almost like real dogs. The only way I can tell they're not, is because they are so, so stinkin' cute it just can't be. ^^ Greetings from Germany

      No. They're not both male. They don't fight... One is just possessive of food. Well, I should say "was" possessive. By doing this training, he is now absolutely fine!

    To be honest your dog looks like it has an issue maybe epilepsy or something is going wrong definitely get it checked out these dogs are great breeds but they do oftentimes have problems your dog does not look right. The other one seems just fine.

    • @BolhausWelshTerriers
      @BolhausWelshTerriers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nope. He doesn’t have epilepsy. He had behavioural issues. Trigger stacking. We worked through it. He’s 100% good as gold now.
