      @@SoulGuitarMetal Ayep, exactly what many artists criticised about about AI in 2D art, me one of them. Will be the same for 3D modelling. "Amazing 3D model details done in seconds!", barely usable in any animation due to terrible topology, absurdly overly complex polycount, gigantic amount on nGons, broken soft/hard edges logic, ridicolous UV maps, inconsistent textures... who's gonna be forced to retopology everything piece by piece turning a stilyng work of though and imagination into an endless stream of only the most obnoxious phases of the job? That's right, the 3D artist, now reduced to a cog in the machine and only tasked to fix all the mistakes the AI will constantly do.
      Now watch people that used to mock professional photographers "as my latest smartphone can do all the pretty pictures in one tap automatically" that then jumped to mock artists "as this app lets me make pretty artwork in seconds without the need of any studying" now also come for 3D modellers to supposedly "soon not need them either because my smartphone can scan and reproduce everything in seconds, you're all oh so obsolete!"

      @@Dexter01992 I'm sure it'll get there and probably won't even take long. Zbrush has had the Z Remesher for quite a while and it can get usable results playing around with it. Often not 100% ideal, but an algorithm/parameter based tools like that in conjunction with AI learning what good topology looks like, there's no doubt it won't take long (unfortunately) to happen. We're automating ourselves into oblivion with complete disregard to the human cost/job market.

    cool, but honestly I can’t depend of the AI, because are not the best way to start. if a client pay me for an 3d animal, animated with good topology, and based on a specific style, is a bad way to start. even I think it is waste the time, trying to find a the ai tool, then trying to get just what I need.
    I’m very fast, I need a few hours to do a great animal, or car in Blender. rigged with good topology, for that reason I thing professionally is not ready, even to be crearive I prefer use human análisis, logic, memory, and exact references.
    For now, for me, the AI only creates uncomprensible and useless monsters.
    maybe the unique usefull tool are the Lidar scans, but not always, is a mess in some angles. I still depend of photos.

    This is the way I see the future of design. I take the "building a house" approach. When you see a beautiful house, who is the one that really put that design together? The guy that hammers the nail into the stud to build the walls, or the architect that designed the house. Of course it's the architect. All AI is doing now is doing the job of hammering a nail into a wall exactly where the architect told him to.

    • @sloppynyuszi
      @sloppynyuszi ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure you watched anyone do architect stuff, but they don’t go to a builder with a brief. They come up with designs, show the clients and then an engineer will do a feasibility study and cost it out, and then the client will change their mind, there will be some heated forwards and backward until there is full CAD design for the builders to follow.
      You not being creative if you just type something in an app that makes images. The app is creative, you just doing what a client does. And that’s what AI will be. Why hire someone to design me a poster when an app can do it for you. It’s not like Ai can’t work the other way. Why learn 3D? I’ll draw a model sheet and ask the AI to model it.

    • @bradstyles9359
      @bradstyles9359 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No! The architect creates the design and clients demand what they want created from the architect.
      Meaning the person who thought using a command prompt for AI to generate a building structure would make him an architect...is simply delusional. As this person is simply writing about the idea, and the idea is then designed by the AI, therefore the person is not an architect at all, just a useless idiot using AI to pretend they’re smart.
      I can’t believe this person just said having AI create the design from typed ideas, makes him an architect, and claims, “it’s like not needing construction workers to build the structure,” since the process is done automatically by AI, but what they failed to notice, is that there’s no similarities provided in the example given. As the structure must still be built, therefore the construction process isn’t skipped at all, and it’s more accurate to say it’s like not having to hire architectural designers or artists to create your ideas in the form of a professional blueprint design format, prior to any construction of the structure. Additionally the baboon commenter is typing about the idea, and the AI creates the design, not the prompt typer, therefore this makes you a delusional idiot, who fails to create their own designs, which is by far nothing close to a professional architect that understands structural integrity, and how structures are built piece by piece! If you saw a construction blueprint and knew nothing about architectural design, you’d fail to understand any flaws within your initial design, potential hazards. or improvements that would make the structure safer to construct for people to use.
      Architectural design is the creation of an idea in the form of a buildable structure, not the idea you’ve only simply envisioned using your mind, which you’ve only typed about like a client for the architect, nor is it the construction process itself. However architects do manage what the construction workers build!

    • @bradstyles9359
      @bradstyles9359 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Perhaps your comment is an indication that society may get dumber than it already is, and the next 9/11 World Trade Center catastrophe may occur as a result of a proclaimed architect who uses AI to create complex structure designs or any structure designs in general, and pays to have the structure built while having no knowledge about the flaws of the AI created structure design, therefore the entire structure collapses like the World Trade Center not because of a terrorist attack, but rather a total idiot pretending to be an architect with the use of AI, or in other words, like pretending to be good at math when using a calculator and asking others to give you the answers while not understanding the mathematics yourself!

If you as a true artist want to fully rely on these tools, maybe you should ask yourself if you actually enjoy being an artist clicking on generate buttons, or if you just here to earn money and cater to large companies creating soulless art. My opinion on the whole topic of Ai builds 3d is that is crap, i have used both Luma ai and other Ai and the topology is like made of sculpting, it has no use to make a model with that bad topology, you cant use it for anything, you need to spend hours making the correct edge flow or rebuilding parts of it. I don't think this is useful in anyway, because a well developed pipeline is more accurate and can deliver more than this. I don't think Ai will ever get to the see AAA games or other contexts, this domain it is way too complex to be able to be generated by ai, and the overall "making of a 3d asset" i consider it being a waste of time with this Ai tools, even dream textures are crap, lets be realistic about this topic, and stop making such a fuss, when it has shallow grounds.
    Maybe in 10 years it will be able to generate optimal topology, but the whole thing of Ai is bad, it gets trained with other people's artwork, there will be heavy law suits once they start cashing in on this, basically you can call it theft. Who owns copyrights over a ai trained with thefts, and than sells it as a service?
    For instance you will develop a new style of artwork, and the Ai will steal your work and train on it. Who's going to cash that in? And moreover

    I don't know why some artists think that they are soo special. Professions become obsolete every single year and people adjust. Sometimes falling right through the net is exactly what provides one with the impetus to succeed going forward. The world still needs human designers, the tools are just changing and looking at the positive, they are changing in a way that will allow anyone to do more than they do now with less effort. That is the literal prerogative of evolution, information moving upwards from the void and improving upon itself. The number 1 improvement is always context a based minimalization of the use of energy. In the future it is true that just about anyone with zero talent will be able to replicate what those of high talent can do right now but where does that mean that those of high talent will be then? What will they be able to do with an evolved toolset? Be homeless and hopeless? Somehow I really doubt that. People worry way too much, some things are just really cool if you adjust your perspective.
