I believe we are entering new era in terms of economy & development in all directions!!!! I'm extremely happy that we got a leader who loves the country and it's people regardless of religion. I still remember the magic word Ape pas kanawa... Umbrella bath kanawa.... That's true... All our politicians focus on family oriented but only you talk always deliver speech on behalf of Sri Lanka.
I can’t help but think back to the speech Gotabaya gave when he won the presidential election. The humble, decent nature of this speech itself gives me hope for our country. Citizens of SL need to step up. You cannot rely on a president alone to revive our country. Our ways, and attitude should change if we want the country to go the other direction. Corruption starts at grass root levels. Not at the top. Don’t expect our politicians to govern the country without stealing when we think it’s ok to bring stationery from work for our personal use. It may seem insignificant, but that’s how it stars. Citizens, do your part and the rest will fall into place

@@sansul88 that’s the political culture of our country. That’s how it is pretty much anywhere in the third world. I think we should all focus on what’s ahead of us and put the past behind. Gloating about the victory, insulting everyone who supported the other candidates is not the smart thing to do. At the end of the day, everything that Happens to the country will affect the majority of the citizens which is the middle Class. Therefore way forward is together, as one. As the saying goes, “ together we rise, divided we fall”. 😊
