I can't imagine, after having bought this bike, that I would ever need anything more. Sufficient get up and go, total comfort and features galore. I love the smoothness and sound of this engine. Never sounds overstressed.
I'm 6'5'' with a 34'' leg and find both bikes very comfy...I personally prefer the NT because of the DCT...both are good 2 up tourers....the Versys is taller so you could fit peg lowers for more space....there is the AT ADV Sport and the V strom 1050 de, both big c omfy bike.............thanks for watching
This bike is full of tech and very comfortable. I also alike the styling. Never rode one, but would love to try it. Great review mate. Thanks for sharing.
Used to own versys 1000 for 5 years never had a problem two up with over taking. Now have BMW RT 1250 .But sometimes think should have got Kawasaki versys 1000se.
I completely agree about the Versys being a great choice even in comparison to a BMW. By the way... rode the R1250RT a week ago. Can check my test ride video. Drop by, you may like it. :)
Another great review lofty, being 6' 4 " and 18 stone myself I'm always interested to get your take on all the different bikes. I've had a 2018 Versys 1000 from new and i love it , It does everything really well. Thought about changing in the future but if i do it will probably another Versys. All the best.👍
I bought a 2019 se gt with 4'500 on the clock. I fitted a few things all from sw- motech tank ring, city tank bag, and sat nav mount thay moves sat nav to just above the clocks behind the screen. Belly pan protector. Plus a danelli sound bomb horn. Is the dogs b, for two up with full luggage at leagal speeds for touring.
I had one, now have an NT1100. The sound of the Versys always was bigger than it's acceleration. Very nice roar, but always felt slow compared to the sound I heard. And it was too smooth as well :)
A good review on the thou this. Have a 2016 Versys GT which I've been riding on since April and love it so far, must say I am a bit jelly of bigger bikes having more tech than the smaller ones xD though a heavy beast that compared to the 650 and though it isn't far off in difference, its about the same in weight as the R1200 RT just a few KG lighter I think.
@@OzBloke never understood why the Japs use the same horn on a 1000 and a 125.....they must cost a penny each from China...very poor...thanks for watching

Lofty if you had to choose this or the v Strom 1050 road biased one, which would you choose?
@@paulholmes3639 strom......it feels lighter and more versatile....personal opinion of course
Hi TLB, given the choice which bike would you prefer, the Versys 1000SE or the NT1100? They're two im looking at and looking for advice. Many thanks
I've ridden both check out both my reviews.....I own NT1100 DCT and love it
Thank you for the review. Which one is better for a tall guy, honda nt 1100 or versys? Which one has more legroom. I have 36" inseam :)

Great bike
If BMW can put a horn on their bikes that can be actually heard, why not all the others?
