@@deltadacosta2711 yeah but the problem is the higher the FPS the less the sensitivity on the CMOS you sacrifice light sensitivity. I hate to say it, but some people don’t understand that technically speaking they can go up to 60 FPS, but you lose significant sensitivity. Hopefully soon they come out with newer models in the future with the bigger CMOS size and can handle higher FPS without losing the sensitivity.
The main advantage of the 50, for me, is that it starts at 50 degrees of view where the 30 needs the wide angle upgrade to go from 40 degrees to 50. But the nvg 30+the wide lens is more expensive than just getting the NVG50
Internal wider fov for me, but this device is cool though. I have a buddy who wants an nvg30. I was thinking of selling it to him cheaper so I can upgrade to the 50 win-win to me.
Pretty cool upgrade. I bought my first NVG30 when they were $350 and since added another with the really nice bridge mount offered. A really great piece for the money
Is it the same IR illuminator? How visible is the red glow from illuminator? Battery run time? If you are running Bino, how does the battery pack connect to both?
I have one, battery life is really good. The IR light is way more energy efficient than the nvg30. Nvg30 on it level 1 an higher, eats the battery fast. the clarity and the lenses is much better I have noticed. I'm so glad they fixed that. And the LCD screen is higher resolution.
It looks almost like the device sits way too and had to be pushed up for it to be level with the eye when using the Wilcox bridge now that the battery is at the top of the device
Bino Bridge set up does not work for this NVG, unless your eye holes come out of your nose, it sits lower than the NVG30 since the sensors are on top not bottom and it'll sit too low with wilcox mount.
@Shadow__133 yes their mount is a aluminum stick, nowhere near as ergonomic or functional, I'm just saying because they're promoting it as if the wilcox bridge is compatible, you can see them make the claim in the video, it's only compatible with NVG30s.
@ I think you heard that wrong, on his other video he clearly says it is compatible with the wild game bridge and not the wilcox: th-cam.com/video/vR-uy_b9va4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7DVdqtiS5DUWwBu0
Yeah no standby unfortunately. Focusable IR would be cool. Most helmet mounted night vision devices have a short range flood style beam. Helmet or rail mounted options tend to be much better for long range.
@@Steezy.gunz_ for helmet mounting, i prefer the NVG30 bc it's like the pvs14 housing, so you don't have any problem to upgrade to binos set up.... If you want the NVG50 in a bino set up, you will have a problem with the ''standard'' bridges out there. The only bridge that worked well and aligned with your eyes, would be the one from the same manufacturer.. The one that has no articulation.... NVG50 it has that problem because the battery compartment is above the tube, and that makes it very low to ur eyes... but for gun mount is ok.
@@rodrixs1232 thank you for the feedback. I guess I’ll go with the 30s because I didn’t see the new ones having that built-in compass option either but yeah I want the door set up because I wanna start building a helmet.

Any word if these can be bridged with NVG10s? Obviously not with NVG30 since they mount backwards. But the NVG10 also have that bulky top for the battery, reason I'm asking Obviously is not for the inferior night vision the NVG10 has, but because the factory makes NVG10s with thermal capabilities for like 700, would be nice to mount these on with a bridge if they're compatible in shape.

And the software is a little better wich actually help its performance by a little bit. No sadly no 60fps and no CMOS update. However they could technically make it do 60fps. But it would significantly weaken the cmos sensitivity. I noticed going from 30 to 40 fps it definitely changes the sensitivity. And because i want the most sensitivity. But because of 30fps its speed to catch up to your movment vs screen latency is a bit of a problem for most of you fellas that hate loe fps lol. At least it doesn't lag! 😂 Overall opinion personally... Yea, to me i think it was worth it. Got rid of the lower quality lenses issues with the NVG30. IR light doesn't kill the batty fast anymore... @UrbanSurvivor sure I can send you the link, it's very simple actually it's just a J arm, but straight and inverted attachment. The NVG50 comes with J arm bracket. Instead of attaching the J arm to wilcox mount you put it on the bridge and then the nvg50 mounts sideways instead of top to bottom, you cut the height problem because instead of putting the battery box and IR light over the eye it sits next to it and it looks like quads. Win win, also the J mount ads articulation so you can slightly aim the NVG50s away from one another like Panos and extend the FOV, instead of staring at the exact same imagine in two eyes, your brain loves the merge.
