demarco murray one of my alltime favorite sooners and i loved watching him play for us from 2007-2010 and he can do it all run it, catch it, and return in it he is truly a beast and broke so many records for us at ou and he should of been drafted in the 1st round and that is a fact because he can do it all and he is truly a great runningback and player Boomer Sooner
I hate Oklahoma, but I respect them for putting out a good team and putting out players like a Demarco Murray. Since I am a Cowboy fan, I'm loving what he has done for this team and for the running game. He's going to be a 1200 yard runner if he keeps this up for this year.
Murray will be more than a third down RB. He's surprisngly strong and can take what the Cowboys ask of him. His versatility will be a weapon for the Cowboy offense.
as a dallas fan, i had never seen his college highlights before now. was an awesome 3rd round pick by the cowboys. how he lasted that long, i have no idea. for the record, i think that he and emmitt smith were both underrated, as far as their respective o-lines getting so much credit.
10 years ago Murray would have been a 1st round pick. It's amazing how much the game has switched gears in the past decade. Here's to hoping Jason Garrett will open up the playbook for his RB's, and put the talent at that position to use.

Still can't believe my team slopped out and got him at 71st overall. I was screaming for the 'Boys to draft him. I wanted him in the 1st round. I knew they wouldn't, but I was really shocked when they passed him in the 2nd. I thought he was gone for sure then. Then next day I saw it on the internet. 3rd round! Woohoo!!!

I really like him, in fact i just drafted him to my fantasy football team, as a sleeper. I know the 'boys have felix "glass bones" jones, but i have a good feeling about him. But what I wanted to say is you work with what you're given, but it's not all that hard to beat up on Utah State (I live in Utah, Huge Utes fan!!), or Iowa State haha, but he didnt just "beat" up on them, i suppose.. he did "annihilate them : ) Good work. Demarco has a special skill set that i believe can contribute to the team right away if garret uses him right... our schedule gives us teams that have had a bit of trouble with the run so if he can show up early we can have an advantage on our schedule! but a 3rd rounder usually doesnt play much though but the coaches believe that he is better than choice which must be why they drafted him (not to mention barber will b gone) but why would u draft a rb so early if it was just to replace barber?
@DanJos89 Completely right. DeMarco is just so natural, its crazy to compare him to playin a videogame. But it seems like he makes it one. Can do it all run through, past, stiff arm, juke, spin or even hurdle (See Dallas vs Bills) to get extra yards on every carry. Felix was nice and I still like him, but he can't break tackles like Murray and seems to hurt himself on every big run he has. Lets just hope DeMarco doesn't fall prey to the injury bug.
@MrNewtcummer he was missed cuz he is a different player now...in these highlights he was a 200lb speed back...played with peterson and showed potential to be better...he blew his knee out and gained 30lbs and now is more a power runner with good ...so no one knew exactly who he was in the draft...had he not blown out his knee he would have been a top 4 or 5 pick
With Murray and Philip Tanner now in the running game, we can start our three running back attack with Demarco Murray starting, Felix Jones as backup and Tanner as the finisher not Choice cause he tends to fumble a lot

@DanJos89 Felix Jones is a very good change of pace 'back. He has no business starting for the Cowboys and taking more 12 carries a game. It's not a coincidence that Romo has played extremely well since Murray emerged as a RB who could CONSISTENTLY move the chains.
ATTENTION COWBOY NATION If Jason Garrett decides to somehow start Felix when he comes back from his injury, we need to chant Murray in Cowboy Stadium. This guy is our future and he'll do big things in Dallas, so there's no way he's getting benched from now on....
I consider him a great back along the quality of Bradshaw who is underrated but was a huge part of the Giants success. But the injuries ruin the Cowboy's offense, and they haven't had the smarts to get a quality replacement for 3 years now, which is inexusable. With injuries he'll probably be demoted to part time. Cowboys need someone who is available most games, which is not easy to do in the NFL. It'll be interesting to see how they try to get-maybe Tate.
@darren1124 The cowboys did not draft Murray to run in between the tackles, he's a third down back that will not need to be a presence in the middle. He can run in between the tackles very well however and did so his whole time here at OU, but showing him in between giant lineman would be a pretty boring highlight reel. Demarco will do just fine in the pros and his hands will be his greatest asset not his ability to run up the middle haha

The only reason he fell that far in the draft was because he had been injury prone the last few years. We would have won one of the fiesta bowls if he hadnt torn a muscle.
