Great video tutorial on fixing a drainage hose on a washing machine! As a 25-year-old woman, I was able to follow along and complete the repair almost entirely on my own thanks to this video. I only needed assistance from my boyfriend at two trickier points. Thank you for the clear instructions and empowering me to tackle this repair myself! 🎉
Thanks for posting this. Assumed it was going to be a quick job but it was more involved than I though, and this was perfect. Although you made the clamping ring look easy… took us a little while.
Thanks! I have a Blomberg washing machine but I think the drain hose is replaced the same way. I don't know why they have to make it so complicated. I watched two other videos where they replaced the drain hose on different brands of washing machines. On one, the guy only had to remove four screws on the back panel to get to the hose. On the other the guy only had two remove the two screws on top and remove the top. He then laid the machine on it's side and replaced the drain hose. Easy peasy. Looks like mine is going to need the front to come off.
Hi Kate, There is more than one way to replace the waste pipe. I showed one, as I carried out other repair as well ( showed in different video) and this was a convenient way.
Hi. I followed your video tutorial and was able to replace the hose in my washing machine. Thanks! I have another problem now. My washing machine drum won't spin even when it is empty. It starts to fill with water and then stops at the point the drum would start spinning. I can drain the water so I know none of the hoses are clogged. The belt is on the wheel at the back of the machine correctly and not worn out. I plan on buying a new washing machine in two months when we move, and would really love for our current washing machine to last two more months if possible. Does this sound like something I could maybe fix myself? Do you think it's a sensor in the machine that controls the belt? That sounds like a job for a repair person. Thanks so much for your help.
I also tried closing the door six times to do a reset, but that didn't help. The door does lock when I try to start a wash. Does that mean that the door lock is ok?
Hi, To replace the waste pipe shouldn’t have effect on spinning. Have you checked the carbon brush? If it’s worn out not enough power to move the drum. I have no other idea without testing.
@@georgesworkshop8600 thanks! I looked up carbon brushes and it sounds like this could be the problem. I will probably have to call a repairman. Thanks for your help!!
@@georgesworkshop8600 you were right! The carbon brushes needed to be replaced. I had a professional repairman do it. I will need to get a new washer eventually. What brands have the fewest problems and are the easiest to work on? Some seem like you have to take the whole washer apart to get to the parts inside. Thanks!
Looks like the crafty b@@@'s at Beko don't want me to repair mine. To take the top off I'll need an Allen key sized somewhere between the 3.5mm and 4mm that I have. Tripped at the first hurdle!
@George's Workshop I didn't think of that! I panic-bought a new machine instead. Could also have cut a slot in the heads and used a flat bladed screwdriver. Hindsight, it's a wonderful thing!
Nicely done and explained, but it is way too much complicated with lots of possible troubles along the way... NO WAY an ordinary person could do it without making a fault!
Hi, No worries, may it seems difficult for first sight , but I have had many feedback from beginners and they were able to follow instructions and fix it. It help a lot if you take pictures about wires or mark the screws.

WOW! Well done! 👍

Hi Ian,
The most important thing is you could make it! Well done!
Fab video. Great step by step. Although I should’ve labelled the screws as I took them out 🤦🏼♀️replaced my hose all by myself.
You are a master now!
This looks like torture, but maybe I can do it after all Thanks for this great video.
Hello,
I hope you’re able to fix it.

Omg! I was hoping to just screw off the old one and screw on a new one
Same here!!!
Great video, what length replacement pipe did you use? Would 2 meters be enough?
Yes, 2 metres long is good length, but it depends on your kitchen situation.

BTW. It is a front loading Blomberg machine. I checked the filter and it is not blocked.

That clamping band is a pain 😂
I know.. 😉
I love you. ❤

Hi Martin,
Next time stick a little tape around the smaller allen key and try again.

Sorry, I couldn’t answer quicker.
Я замінив шланг і почалися проблеми з барабаном, починає дуже швидко крутитися і зупиняється
