How Do you Clean a Greasy Oven? Easy Off Oven Cleaner is an awesome cleaning product. In this video, I show how to Use Easy Off, and I show Before / After Videos of The Oven I Cleaned.
For tough burnt terribleness, this stuff is incredible. Yeah, the fumes are rough, but mame sure to leave while it's working and ventilate the area well.
Used this today and didnt wear mask because it didn't say so on the instructions. I was coughing like you. Now knowing how corrosive this product is, I am wearing n95 mask, eye protection and thick rubber gloves next time. After wiping the oven clean i also wipe it with water another 5 times with a wet sponge to completely remove any chemical, and then heat my oven with some water at the bottom to do a vapour clean...
you're supposed to wrap foil around the element, the chemicals will burn when you heat it up and make the interior have chemical smells in your food for weeks.
Be careful. I was coughing just like you and I prefer my health. That spray is so strong, just like you mentioned. I’ve used it once and I can’t use it again (even in a ventilated area/mask) it’s just too strong. Isn’t there a more natural cleaner that cleans built up grease? If anyone knows please reply.
holyyyyyyy crap, dude, I know you say "wear gloves" but like seriously... where are your gloves?! The active ingredient is lye, that shit is no joke. There's no need for the histrionic comments of some buttmunchers below ("i BrEaThED tHiS oNcE AnD gOt CANCERRRRR") but I agree this video is pretty irresponsible as it stands... maybe add a written warning at the beginning? But anyway, here is how I successfully and safely employ Easy Off for those interested: (1) put on a (tight) face mask or bandana, eye protection (yes I'm serious, even sunglasses if you have nothing else), and thick rubber (NOT LATEX, they are too thin) gloves. (2) Get all pets and kids out of the immediate area and open all the windows in the immediate area. FYI I always do this part when everyone else is in bed, around 10-11pm. (3) Spray the whole oven, top and bottom, and the racks. (4) close the oven. After about 10-15 minutes close the windows too. Go to bed. (5) Next morning/day, repeat steps 1 and 2-except this time you are gearing up to wipe out the oven rather than spray. (6) After wiping away the amazing Easy Off, repeatedly wipe down every part of your now-clean oven with a new wet cloth, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. (7) Close the oven and the windows and let the kids and pets back in the area. Remove your gear and celebrate your victory! No exposure to chemicals for you and your loved ones but those chemicals have successfully NUKED your filthy oven, yay :)
I just used the same product and sprayed on the heating element aswell. No problem after cleaning. Just make sure you wipe it clean, clean it again with water and then let it dry before using. Don't spray on tin or aluminium surfaces they will oxidise.
Does anyone know if you can spray easy-off onto a rag and apply it that way? I just need to spot clean and I don't feel like having to wipe down the whole oven that's mostly all clean.

this is the comment i was looking for. im about to clean the toaster oven with this. what should i do with all of the vent openings in there?
This stuff works real well on pots and pans too.
I was wondering if it helped to clean the burn grease of the pans and you answered my question! Thanks!
this video isn’t a joke the product is actually insane how does it work
Do you have to preheat the oven before spraying? Cause I have never cleaned a oven before & my GE electric oven is 2 years old.

Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide work okay but they just require more work than easy off
Easy Off Fume Free works just as well for most jobs.
Baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, olive or hemp oil...
My question is, who the hell lets their oven get that filthy?
plenty of people, sadly, and if you buy or rent after them, it becomes your problem :(
This ain't nothing
You will surprise...
People who cook all the time
me

Get that oven warm about 250 for 10 minutes and then spray to dissolve gunk. Use the fume free stiff.
It says not to spray on heating elements. You did. Do they still work properly?

I’m positive you can simply spot clean using it.
Says wear a mask. Starts coughing cause hes not wearing a mask.
Man get rid of that old ass stove
There is better and easier ways of cleaning an oven without having to wait a whole day smh and without chemicals
Amazing
