- This is Episode #1 of my new playthrough of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelists of the Roses Redux Mod - But with a new challenging twist!!
We're allowed one win condition, and one win condition only - summoning the Great Lord Exodia!! No other monsters for battle, no burn damage, nothing... The preparation has been done, many reincarnations and surrenders later, and we have the Exodia pieces!! Time to begin our run of Obliteration! First in our path - Tea Gardner and her Fairy Deck.

i know im wayyyy late on this but i just noticed that while exodia doesn't destroy EVERYTHING, all the monsters have collapsed down. thats actually interesting. once i saw the cards still there i thought it wasnt going to but then i noticed hoshenigan has fallen

Also! Increased protection for same type friendlies protect any and all monster card of the same type as the deck leader from spells and traps from the opponent as long as they are within the summoning area of the deck leader, unless it´s got increased support range in which case is an extra tile of distance, although Tea doesn´t have that last one. That´s the reason dark piercing light didn´t work. Don´t worry to much about it as it´s very confusing without an explanation and the game certainly does not give one XD.
Ah I see now, thanks for clarifying that. After playing this game for so many years I never realised that was an effect from that leader ability somehow 😂 its a hole in my knowledge that has now been fixed lol. Its my new fact learned for the day 😁
Yes! This is going to be really fun! There're going to be some absolutely goofy duels and I'm excited to see how you tackle folks like Tristan and Darkness-Ruler. Looking forward to more!

This could be a very interesting run. That said, I'm surprised your not also trying to buff up his piece's with equips to at least give them a chance (and yourself by proxy) to survive throughout the duels. You could keep the rule that the duel has to be won via assembling all fives pieces and just no last hit's by the limbs, which is unlikely given how absurdly strong the later duelist are. Looking forward to seeing how this run develops and how you'll tackle some of the more difficult duelist (let alone the final boss).
Equips can definitely be an option later on if I get my hands on them, but that is going to require reincarnation for the +500 equips. Can always add megamorph to the deck once I duel Yugi if I can get some copies of that. That being said, the Exodia limbs are so fragile as it is, and the later duelists have monsters that are so strong, that I kinda feel that reincarnating for trap cards to slow the opponent down rather than trying to strengthen our limbs is probably the more sensible and reliable way to go. Either way its going to get super challenging I think!

I'd definitely say the mod was a successful improvement over the base game without a doubt. Make me not wanna go back to the vanilla version lol. And finally the improved resistance for same type stopped you from flipping her cards up since they were all in her summoning area except hoshinigen which was out already

but what you gonna do when battling dark ruler? you basically trapped in that field
Thanks very much Ahmad! My plan is to utilize the Magical Labyrinth cards that I have in the deck, to move the labyrinth that traps us on that field, to allow us to escape. It may take multiple attempts, but it should (hopefully) remove one of the 3 labyrinth tiles surrounding the deck leader, freeing him up to move. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video!!

Another card you could use is dimension hole to warp your leader out of the cage
Yup, very good idea on Dimensionhole. I need to remember to try prioritize grabbing that from MFL when I duel him to make sure I have it once I switch over to the Lancastrian run
You’re back at it with another crazy series,I think you can do it just reincarnate for some labyrinth walls and some decent traps and it’ll be easier.
Hey man, yea I definitely think its doable, its gonna be challenging at points, but doable. Wanted to basically get the Exodia parts as a starting point, and then build up spells and traps from reincarnations as the series goes on, to not be too overpowered from the start. Hope its crazy in a good way and that you're gonna enjoy it man!
