Notes:
CCC 2070 Commandments are unchangeable
What God commands he provides the strength to obey
There is a positive and negative
CCC 2083-2141 1st Commandment to be monotheists
Points to the three theological virtues
Love:
Faith: CC1843 - Ascent to the truth, do not descent from it.
Hope: CCC 1817 -
Worship and serve our one true God
Adore - latria, respect praise be humble and grateful, focus on the blessings, Eucharistic adoration
Prayer CCC 2098 - In order to Obey need to pray. Ask for grace to obey and God
Sacrifice - Offer Him our Hearts, must be added to external practices, Promises, and vows
Service - Evangelization CCC 2105 make known the one true worship in the Catholic Church, also involves upholding freedom of Religion.
Sins against the first commandment:
Faith - disbelief, Apostasy,
Hope - despair and presumption
Charity - indifference to God, lukewarmness, hatred of God
Superstition, casting spells, tarot, witchcraft
Idolatry - worshiping false Gods or crated things or people in place of God CCC 2113
Atheism, agnosticism, Simony,
sacrilege, many forms, tempting God, expecting an unusual action from God.
Sins again the first commandments are grave enough to be mortal sins if sufficient knowledge and freedom in the act
Part of forming a good conscience
God wants us to put him first so that He can give us His gifts

Thanks for always encouraging, I’m in such despair. I’m struggling to provide for my two autistic children since losing my job for not getting the vaccine. I declined because I have pre existing health condition Lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption by Forsyth Hospital. My husband passed away three years ago, so I’m all alone. No family nor friends. Both of my sons are non verbal so things are very difficult. I don’t know how we are going to make it. It’s almost May a new month and I’m short on rent again. If I can’t come up with the rest I’ll be homeless. Every month is a struggle. I’m so embarrassed of my situation. I’m so sick of struggling every month and being put down over my situation even was accused of lying which truly hurt my heart. Because so many folks are going through the same thing. BUT NO MATTER WHAT I have Faith that God will provide! He is faithful. He knows my heart! He will save me and my children from poverty. Please pray for me.

We are not alone because God is present, and so too are Jesus and Mother Mary (Our Lady). Pray the Rosary and invoke Our Lady to help. May our faith be bigger than our fears in life, truly, to let His unlimited Authority conquer what needs conquered.. in life, in our hearts, with one another, to belong totally to Him, wholeheartedly. Not my will, but THY WILL be done.
Day 1 of The Surrender Novena prayer, from Jesus' Heart to ours:
"Why do you confuse yourselves by worrying? Leave the care of your affairs to Me and everything will be peaceful. I say to you in truth that every act of true, blind, complete surrender to Me produces the effect that you desire and resolves all difficult situations. 'O Jesus, i surrender myself to You, take care of everything!' (10 times). **Thy Will be done, purposefully and thoughtfully.**
St. Vincent de Paul organization with dedicated volunteers and staff are really helpful to go to for food (depends on income), household items, clothing, advice, plus there's a 'Changing Lives Forever' program that really helps to get back on your feet, with God's help thru the help of others, to make ends meet and grow spiritually too. Highly highly recommend. St. Vincent de Paul, pray for us all, that in our times of need, may we humble ourselves and quiet the worries to pray for what we need and trust God first to provide, uniquely. He will and He does, in His Time, and in His Way, patiently & thoughtfully. Thy Will be done.

Possible typographical errors in the notes. I assume it's "assent" (agree) rather than "ascent" (go up), and "dissent" (disagree) rather than "descent" (go down)? And "created things" (spelt "crated").
But great overview of the 1st Commandment! Can you link to your full speaker's notes? It can be compiled as a little booklet for teaching children the Catechism. Especially useful are the cross references.

The two are inseparable - just like Jesus & Mary are inseparable.

- One can give away to anyone in and outside the faith... even hidden from the individual and also please say the prayer.
- Help a souls eternity especially those who are obstinate to keep it hopeful for everyone
- Great blessing if worn in regards to wearing it but not a prerequisite to obtaining grace
- When you feel your voice is not heard or one worries in regards to their eternity... heaven gives us hope for them in this sacramental
- additional benefit: add Both Style Miraculous Medals for the purpose to give strength and signal graces to help souls when worn.
