As someone who carries the SAW, the fact that the character checks the feed tray cover for METAL LINKS is impressive.. there’s some ever so small details on the physical weapon that aren’t accurate to the models we have. But hey, copyright. “If you take care of her, she’ll take care of you.”
Apparently you wouldn't love to travel with it though, one of the biggest and most common complaints I hear about it is that it weighs an absolute ton(consider that the PKM, in 7.62x54R is actually lighter).
The Crimson Fucker I’ve only used the PKM to train Security Forces in a very limited capacity in order to enhance their capabilities. As a young Enlisted Soldier, the M249 was my primary assigned weapons system at my Unit. I didn’t care about how heavy it was, since there were heavier weapons on my squad. You just learn to embrace the suck one mile at a time.

My very short experience holding one unloaded it felt lighter than an AK(probably weight distribution) while the PKM felt heavy as fuck(once again, probably weight distribution) but official numbers make the SAW heavier by a decent margin. In any case, I can't agree with the Marine Corps trying to replace it with an HK416. Then again, I have gripes with the IAR program in general - I think staying with the M4 would've served the marine corps better. In my opinion the 416 is just a more expensive, less reliable M4.
The Crimson Fucker Not true. The M27 is a badass weapons system and there are many great reasons for the switch from the SAW to the M27. I’ve carried one for 2-3 years now and from my experience as well as my buddies, they’re more reliable than the M4 and easier to clean.
I just want to remind everyone that you don't unlock the gun by buying it, you just get the blueprint version. You won't be able to customize it until you complete the challenges.

Deltafire12 lmgs have always been my favorite and I’ve always used hardcore shipment as my farming so honestly, this challenge was normal grinding for me

I barely used the M60 in MWR 😅 so I had to watch ahoy’s video about the M60. Turns out I’ve learned that this machine shoots three time faster than the M60 WITHOUT FAILURE 😳 no wonder this thing is a three shot kill in core did I mention that the Bren Mk9 is a one shot kill in hardcore ‼️ that is exactly why I’m getting this gun gold. It’s literally the best gun to carry with a rocket launcher
I'm sure you've already figured out the Mk46, but can we talk about gunsmith customs in a video? The very first thing I tried to do was put the Task Force mag on The Purist to finally make a correct standard issue M4, just to find it doesn't work for default parts. Very disappointing. What they need to do is add the default part to the list so you can select from it's variants in your blueprints
Yeah man what a bummer, I was hoping for the extreme of being able to mix and match non-attachments like the uppers and lowers too lol but that was asking for too much but I was hoping at least the reskinned default stuff could be swapped
I'm very disappointed as well. I was hoping we'd be able to swap "stock" parts since some have different colors and are just different in general. I was also hoping that would include upper and lower receivers. and it's be nice to be able to put the foregrip where we wanted it, along the pic rail of course. there is rumor that in the future it will be across different weapon platforms also do maybe if we sweet talk them they'll let us swap these parts as well
I am very disappointed too. I was hoping if they add an option to change iron sights on barrels. I was going to but triangle m4 front sight and carry handle from OG blueprint on Task Force m4 blueprint. But no we cant do it. Such a shame new camo is ugly too. And the update is 32 gb. Great work IW
Yeah AND after making a sick old school M4a1 in game it doesn't render. In the gun smith you can see my m4a1 14.5 front end on my gun with other varient options but in game any frankensmithing doesn't render it just shows the stock attachments.
Hey buff! I'm sure you've noticed, but I'm literally typing this before I've watched the video. Obviously you are aware of the new frankensmith, but they didn't give the option of changing default attachments. It'd be great if someone like yourself can bring light to this as you have more say over potential fixes ect. I really want this gun in Multiplayer but I hate the challenge behind it. Shoot the Ship is full of people spamming smoke grenades as well as thermal LMGs. Not to mention how the challenge doesn't seem to track properly in some games.
Chat if ur having trouble with the challenge you have to kill and enemy that is by the smoke (u dont have to be by the smoke) the best way to do it is throw a smoke in the middle of shipment and use the thermal. good class ( pkm, thermal, extended mag, merc foregrip) overall just throw a smoke middle of shipment and unload
That Patriot I literally did everything and it wouldn’t count. I’ve had over 500 kills when I finally unlocked the gunsmith for it(I bought the gun and used it to get itself😅. I’ve done it where we are both in it. They are in it. I’m in it. I’ve done all of it.

Also I would love to see the RPD added now that we are getting more intermediate-cartridge LMGs with the MG36 and now the MK48/M249 Edit: Would also love an M27/M416 Would also love to see certain other returning/ “Classic” COD weapons like the Scorpion Evo, the M60E6 (We’ve only gotten the M60 and M60E4 so far), the Barrett .50, maybe even certain guns like the Saiga 12 and Spas-12 to hopefully upset the current 725 meta. I would love to see the Ranger and 1887 return from MW2 as well

To unlock, for me at least i got credit for only the enemy being in the smoke, only me being in the smoke shooting out, and both of us being in the smoke
People think the M249 is the "base" weapon and everything else is based on it. When in reality the original weapon is the Minimi. In other words they see any old Minimi and automatically call it an M249.
I recommend you unlock the orbit holo reflex if you don’t have it that is. It’s quite similar to real holographic optics and it’s easier to look through
Redneck Sniper I think the FLIR is better than the IRNV, no scope glint, which enemies can see through smoke, and u can see through the smoke, which the IRNV can’t do anymore for some reason (u can still see enemy’s heat signature tho)

I’m not sure yet how it’s tracked... Yet I got 2 out of 15. One of them was in domination Picadilly, you can easily get some kills in the B flag between the buses. I also try to find some campers or distracted players, so you just throw and wait for the canister to blow
I found that running a pkm in a hip fire config, run it on shipment. Just throw a smoke down every time you spawn. I've been making sure I'm in the smoke with the enemies just to make sure. I've been getting it to count every round. I'm at 11/15 as of now.
Just used the MK9 with monolithic suppressor, tac laser, scout combat optic, tactical foregrip, and 60 Round Mags. I did not go for a realistic variant but for an ar-lmg hybrid and i can say this definitely shreds. Open bolt + very low recoil + medium-high rate of fire make this weapon unstoppable both in warzone and multiplayer. While taking in count this weapon without attachments has very low recoil and good range, using some slots for zoom optics, mobility, and stability really make this weapon shine. Thoughts?
I was hoping the Forge Tac stock would be rendered as the hydraulic collapsible stock but I guess vanilla attachment designs it is then lol it's weird since they went pretty far out of their way to have different names and designs for basically the usual bunch of attachments for guns like the Grau and Striker
The challenge should have been to get 45 kills with a belt fed lmg. But I finished the smoke challenge and I got to try it in mp, it's really good, maybe as good as the pkm.
I’m gonna speak and for all Marines that know, the 249 is the worst light machine gun to carry for a squad automatic weapon, you wanna get shit done, you get the 240 in place
Just play the Shoot The Ship playlist with the Restock perk and a Thermal sight, easy. Throw smoke granades where enemy is spawning or in the middle part in Shipment and you can get 3 kills easy. Than quit the match and find another one.
OLixNoisy oh. Well, yeah, a lot of weapons over the decades have had the “para” title due to their original intent to be a compact form meant for paratrooper use. Granted that’s not a typical role for an infantrymen anymore, but it does still exist so therefore compact versions of standard rifle and SAWs are made with paratroop use in mind.
uGotSN1p3dB1cH I tried with this new thing of gunsmith customs to run the purist or xrk4 first ironsight (because it is very open) and the task force barrel muzzle ironsight because it looks and performs better in my opinion (the one that looks like the m13) but for some reason i use the purist m4 with the task force barrel and in game it does not apply. Instead it uses the standard 14 inch barrel
i finished the challenge an hour ago and What you said Is misleading.. The enemy Has to be By The Smoke (Almost in it) it wont count if your in the smoke It only worked like that for the Mp5 Varient
Got it yesterday by hipfiring my PKM with 200 mag, tac laser, hip fire fore grip, aiming stability stock and longest barrel. Just play shipment on HC, throw smokes at enemies, hipfire and repeat until you have 15 matches. After 2,5 hours and 3 times not tracking, but getting the matches later back for some reason the MK46 is mine. Shipment becomes more retarded, because of this challenge but oh well
They need more options add a carry handle for optics. Add the xrk old barrel back for the tac lite. Add the option to color individual parts or use camos on individual parts. U can use ur own blueprints as an option. Add a campaign challenge for the all black Ak4u in the mission were u attack the spetnaz base. Add more challenge blueprints. Then finally earn cod points by challenges for warzone and mutiplayer. Plz cod!!🤣🤣😭👌🏼
Just got this and good lord this gun is AMAZING, I’ve got 113 kills while I was playing hardcore domination on shipment this gun was DEFINITELY worth unlocking. Although kinda wish if you could convert the mk9 into a M240 and MK48
I don’t understand the damn challenge, I’ve tried everything and I just can stack up 3 kills within my smoke or by my smoke or idk what needs to be done
Marcos Cado Throw smoke in objective areas such (I.e. Dom Flags. The best is Hardpoint areas). “Shoot The Ship” playlist is your friend. Don’t play on Shoot House, Shipment is the easiest for the challenge. What I’ve been doing is when throwing the smoke in the center of shipment and laying prone waiting for enemies to run through the smoke. The best LMG’s to use are the faster firing ones such as the Holger, MG, or SA87. Just do this the entire match and eventually you’ll get 3 kills. You can always check in match your progress. It’s very tedious but eventually you’ll get it done. Also if you get really frustrated you can buy the weapon blueprint from the shop for $10, but warning it doesn’t come with the base weapon, only the blueprint. It won’t let you equip camos or attachments on it until you do the challenge and unlock the base weapon.
Listen i just finished the Run and Gun Challenge. And that took me a good Month i don't think i want to go through that again. (I'll do it but i won't like it)
It would be cool if you had the 200 round belt, and when you run out of ammo, a team mate could throw you an m4 mag and have your operator insert that into the gun, rather than picking up ammo with scavenger and having a whole new belt... Im all for realism and Im a whore for the m249 saw

6/15 at the moment. The way i do it. Shoot the ship. When i get shoothouse i level a different weapon. If i get shipment i use the holger with smoke and keep throwing smoke and kill people.
Shoot the Ship 24/7 is now full of Thermal LMGs and Smokes because of this goddamn challenge

Its when the enemy is near smoke, not you, throw you smoke into travel paths and wait for enemies, you don’t have to be near smoke yourself

You can make the mk 46 easily. Do the horizon barrel and Bipod. Boom.

I just did a little bit of research and the brunette mk9 is based of off the FN minimi which was the inspiration for the m249

An use a lmg with allot of mobility (like the holger) but run no stock and not short barrel so you don’t destroy lmg when it comes to range
Technically the 18 inch barrel makes it a standard issue M249, the Para has a 13.8 inch barrel or something like that.
I’m not sure yet how it’s tracked... Yet I got 2 out of 15. One of them was in domination Picadilly, you can easily get some kills in the B flag between the buses. I also try to find some campers or distracted players, so you just throw and wait for the canister to blow

I found that running a pkm in a hip fire config, run it on shipment. Just throw a smoke down every time you spawn. I've been making sure I'm in the smoke with the enemies just to make sure. I've been getting it to count every round. I'm at 11/15 as of now.

Just used the MK9 with monolithic suppressor, tac laser, scout combat optic, tactical foregrip, and 60 Round Mags. I did not go for a realistic variant but for an ar-lmg hybrid and i can say this definitely shreds. Open bolt + very low recoil + medium-high rate of fire make this weapon unstoppable both in warzone and multiplayer. While taking in count this weapon without attachments has very low recoil and good range, using some slots for zoom optics, mobility, and stability really make this weapon shine. Thoughts?
I was hoping the Forge Tac stock would be rendered as the hydraulic collapsible stock but I guess vanilla attachment designs it is then lol it's weird since they went pretty far out of their way to have different names and designs for basically the usual bunch of attachments for guns like the Grau and Striker

The challenge should have been to get 45 kills with a belt fed lmg. But I finished the smoke challenge and I got to try it in mp, it's really good, maybe as good as the pkm.

Just play the Shoot The Ship playlist with the Restock perk and a Thermal sight, easy. Throw smoke granades where enemy is spawning or in the middle part in Shipment and you can get 3 kills easy. Than quit the match and find another one.

Yeah that’s how it is for any dlc gun, you only get the variant but have to unlock the base gun to edit it

OLixNoisy oh. Well, yeah, a lot of weapons over the decades have had the “para” title due to their original intent to be a compact form meant for paratrooper use. Granted that’s not a typical role for an infantrymen anymore, but it does still exist so therefore compact versions of standard rifle and SAWs are made with paratroop use in mind.

uGotSN1p3dB1cH I tried with this new thing of gunsmith customs to run the purist or xrk4 first ironsight (because it is very open) and the task force barrel muzzle ironsight because it looks and performs better in my opinion (the one that looks like the m13) but for some reason i use the purist m4 with the task force barrel and in game it does not apply. Instead it uses the standard 14 inch barrel
But front iron sight is not triangle on task force barrel. I hope they add an option to change iron sights in future

i finished the challenge an hour ago and What you said Is misleading.. The enemy Has to be By The Smoke (Almost in it) it wont count if your in the smoke It only worked like that for the Mp5 Varient

Got it yesterday by hipfiring my PKM with 200 mag, tac laser, hip fire fore grip, aiming stability stock and longest barrel. Just play shipment on HC, throw smokes at enemies, hipfire and repeat until you have 15 matches. After 2,5 hours and 3 times not tracking, but getting the matches later back for some reason the MK46 is mine. Shipment becomes more retarded, because of this challenge but oh well

They need more options add a carry handle for optics. Add the xrk old barrel back for the tac lite. Add the option to color individual parts or use camos on individual parts. U can use ur own blueprints as an option. Add a campaign challenge for the all black Ak4u in the mission were u attack the spetnaz base. Add more challenge blueprints. Then finally earn cod points by challenges for warzone and mutiplayer. Plz cod!!🤣🤣😭👌🏼

I don’t understand the damn challenge, I’ve tried everything and I just can stack up 3 kills within my smoke or by my smoke or idk what needs to be done
Marcos Cado Throw smoke in objective areas such (I.e. Dom Flags. The best is Hardpoint areas). “Shoot The Ship” playlist is your friend. Don’t play on Shoot House, Shipment is the easiest for the challenge. What I’ve been doing is when throwing the smoke in the center of shipment and laying prone waiting for enemies to run through the smoke. The best LMG’s to use are the faster firing ones such as the Holger, MG, or SA87. Just do this the entire match and eventually you’ll get 3 kills. You can always check in match your progress. It’s very tedious but eventually you’ll get it done. Also if you get really frustrated you can buy the weapon blueprint from the shop for $10, but warning it doesn’t come with the base weapon, only the blueprint. It won’t let you equip camos or attachments on it until you do the challenge and unlock the base weapon.
I bought the glitch blueprint but the M249 is still locked

It would be cool if you had the 200 round belt, and when you run out of ammo, a team mate could throw you an m4 mag and have your operator insert that into the gun, rather than picking up ammo with scavenger and having a whole new belt... Im all for realism and Im a whore for the m249 saw

6/15 at the moment. The way i do it.
Shoot the ship. When i get shoothouse i level a different weapon. If i get shipment i use the holger with smoke and keep throwing smoke and kill people.
