They need to be enlightened that if anyone should leave children under 12 years old at home and something goes wrong, the Children will be taken by the Government. The couple need to repent and apologize to their kids for negligence of their duty as parents, instead of blaming the older one. The man should apologize to his brother, and please let’s pray for mercy of God for them. Thank you.

You can’t leave children alone Frances I was looking after the home when I was 13 cooking and washing but I am 61 it was different in those days. The parents are to blame, the wife should have called her work place to inform them that she had child care, waiting for the father to arrive, the work would understand. Neighbours also monitor your movements and can report to the police and local authority. Children are the most priority in life even in Africa. We can't blame the devil or spiritual attacks, they attacked themselves. When I had my baby, I didn't leave the house for a month because my baby was still a baby, my neighbours reported me to the local authority. The health visitor and social services came to check on me. They found me safe in the house they checked if I had everything in the house. What the neighbours didn't know was that my relatives were visiting me every night bringing me all I needed. The West is very much concerned about children. Thank you Francis for sharing ❤❤❤

I think I was about 9 years old when my siblings and myself had to get ready for school by our ourselves because both parents had already left for work for the day. My older sister aged 10 cooked breakfast for my brother and myself. Only she was allowed to use the stove when neither parent was in the house. But this was the 1970s.
Many kids in those days in the summer holidays spent the whole day in the park unsupervised. That was normal. Tony Blair's government in the 2000s started tightening things up in relation to the supervision of children.

Eunice looked after us well and she went home at 4 whilst we were at a.c while mum took over and dad at night. My mum knew family came first as i do the same. Pay childcare and stop worshipping MONEY after ALL didn't they move the WHOLE family here for a better LIFE 🤔🤨. And integration into society is very important too.

@sammym9259 What year are you talking about? UK law in the 1960s and 70s isn't the same as now. When I was at school in the 1970s one of the male teachers who looked to me like he was in his 30s was dating a 16 year old girl in my class. The law in the UK banning teachers from having sex with their 16 year old pupils came into force in the late 1990s. School teachers weren't even checked for their criminal records when I was at school. The law requiring teachers to disclose their criminal record if any came into force in 1987. Then from 1988 solicitors in England and Wales ( but not Scotland ) had to declare whether they had a criminal record. Then from 2001 medical doctors had to undergo a CRB check by law. Before then the law just said doctors should disclose their criminal record if asked to do so. So the done thing in the profession was not to ask doctors their business. But everything changed after the Harold Shipman case, the serial killer doctor in the 1990s who was convicted of deliberately killing his elderly patients.
Even now the law in England and Scotland is not the same. Eg. The African migrants our guest talks of who have ended up in prison could get a job in Scotland without having to reveal that fact when applying for a job in healthcare or as a carer after waiting 15 years, provided they did not go to prison for something like murder, rape, armed robbery or another extremely serious offence. In contrast in England and Wales people who have been to prison always have to disclose that fact when applying for jobs involving working with vulnerable people.
The use of glue traps to trap mice will become illegal in the UK for the first time from 31st July 2024. So it is best to keep up with what the law says where you live instead of glibly assuming you know what the law says based on how things are in the country you are from.

She also needed close monitoring. Why would the Dad also worsen the situation by lying that he had gone to the shops when he actually he was at work.Ppl should learn to be honest, and please, please stop blaming everything on spiritual attacks when often times it's because of own making. Goodness why leave three children under the age of 10 years alone. It’s not right especially in this country UK. The mother should have told work she has to wait for the father to come home and make him aware of this. They made the situation worse by blaming a 9yr old for not supervising her young siblings, this is not acceptable. She was way too young to be responsible for what happened. Parents take responsibility for your children leave them with a friend or neighbour things could have been worse.

Silly woman and the husband went along too. Talk of Adam and Eve. The man didn’t tell her to wait for him to get home before she leaves he just ate the apple she offered.

I worked in the NHS 20 years ago.. Once it was time to go pick your children from school you left.
It was the job of the manager to deal with the time lapse .

I wonder why would parents leave young children unattended. This is indeed a neglect and abuse towards children. And the culture of shouting people including children by some African countries is a huge concern. How can adults blame children for the mistakes of the parents. There's no spiritual attack in this matter, but selfishness and greed from this family.

This mother is not remorseful at all. I cannot believe how a right thinking parents will still be blaming their nine years old for their wrong. I sorry this man is not man enough to take his stance as a husband. The person who failed to report at the appropriate time caused the chain of troubles this family is going through. The lesson learnt is that any slightest negligence from a person's is capable of causing adverse effects on others. I will not be surprised if that person didn't have a good reason for coming late.
I can also sense communication gap right from the time the idea of coming to UK was born. The man did not understand why he should have come first settle down before his family is invited. Husband and wife had different advisors. Sad, though.

The biggest culprit that we are all failing to see in these situations is the Government. The Government is not giving migrant workers enough support yet they are benefiting immensely from our labour. I think a Migrant Workers' Association should be formed - to lobby for at least 20 hours of free childcare per week. Why? Because migrants do not have support units where they can leave their children, but they still need to go to work. There is a lot of pressure and desperation in that situation. Expecting children to remain in Africa while parents come to work has resulted in broken homes, broken children, and depression. Accommodation is another issue - it should be a Government responsibility. Care Employers are not housing specialists and they are taking advantage of the vulnerable migrants.
Honestly, migrant workers need a stronger Association to negotiate fair deals!

After our discussion she told me unlikely to send me her daughter unless I have to send for all of them. Then I said to her that I am not the owner of UK. Just send me your first daughter and I will train her to the highest level of education. After that she stopped communicating with me, because I never accepted her bringing herself and three children to London. I told her it doesn't work like that because I live in one bedroom but I struggled communicating with her and her children and they said to me why am I too hard

Believe me as senior managers of staff we let esp parents leave even at 7 at times etc. They NEVER seeked support at work. It's not by force to go to work. You just call in and we will understand. Thank you for your efficiency, I’m sure many people have read this because I believe that the majority of people do respond on good courses on social media ! But as for me, I am going to subscribe to our Lady of Good counsel, the Virgin Mary, thus, before you realise it, Jesus is gonna ‘deal’ as He did on the Third Day of the Wedding at Cana in Galilee, if you know the story, and if you like ! Jesus acted there and then even, if His our was not yet due, but the intervention of His Mother, made Him do it ! This is a complicated episode, because it is mixed up with a Third World culture and that of the Forth World, just like the “Dream of King Nebuchadnezzar “ in the Book of Daniel 2:35
Truly it needs God’s intervention otherwise it’s gonna cost a fortune to hire Lawyers and by the time it’s done, even you will be exhausted 😴 Please, I’m gonna play my part in prayers and even if I do not hear from you again I’m sure the outcome will be with Happy Ending for real ! We save a Very Big God, don’t we ?🙏🏽

The only way out for them is to plead with the brother that has lived in the uk for 18 years to ask the police to allow him have the children . This is because he is the nearest of kin. The father should have stopped them from leaving the sitting room. He should have told the 9 year old let none of the junior ones leave the sitting room . The wife should have called her work she was coming late just like the person who was to take over from the husband called he was coming late.
This is a lesson for those with children. The uncle from nigeria blaming the child does not know the law here. A 9 year old can take care or junior ones for a n hour just before the parents arrive if she is responsible . But here it is a different law . I feel sad for the parents but their best bet is for the next of kin to have the children . Only the brother can help them out or they will lose the children to Oyinbo family

Why did father NOT take a taxi back home?
This is the error they made, because both parents should have taken fault. The option of retraining and support to parents would have been given. Somebody needs to advise these parents otherwise their visa will be stopped and they have to return to Nigeria.

People, stay in your own country and work hard in your own country. The wife wasn't patient. She wanted everything now. Now she has lost everything. I hope the man stays in contact with his children.

The husband didn’t act like a man he brought all this on himself. A man is supposed to go make a path first for his family before they come over. He failed as a father.

The father should have listened to his brother as his brother was willing to help to allow his brother to find a place for his family then bring them in the country when everything has settled and then wife and kids would come later .to the Uk The mum is not right blaming a child for this terrible incident . What the mum could have done is ring her work and tell her employer she will be late for work and wait till her husband gets home it takes a simple common sense to resolve issues , she did not practice. Ring a responsible adult when she is saying it is caused by a spiritual attack this is very backward PRAYER alone is the key on reducing individual fear !!!! I hope the family gets back together

See African mentality how you staying in Africa to come and get involved in UK matters

In my workplace, another nurse will take the handover so that you go home. I feel for the family. It’s well.
My husband and I do call our workplace if need be because anything can happen in a second when your not looking. I can’t take this risk😢
The foster carers doesn’t even take care of your kids as you would because some don’t bath them and stuff like that mtcheew
This parents have a lot of growing up to do! Her baby sister might be hungry and she thought to make her breakfast so how is she wrong when there are no parents at home? I feel like slapping sense into that woman’s brain that’s if she has one.
This goes a long way to show that they don’t have pure love for those kids. They thought that Uk is Nigeria that parents can beat their kids with crazy things.
Not only spiritual attack but foolishness in the highest places because even the devil will be surprised at this one
