You were right
This aged well damn
You knew what you was talking about)
Damn
dude needa be a talent scout
Anyone still here in 2024?
💙
Freddie is ahead of his past. If he was rapping this in the 90's he'd be a legend.
8 years later, he's a legend now
Look ma he made it!!! Freddie came through these past few years.
This was my shit back in the day and i love that Freddie has grown into one of the best rappers right now and quite possibly the smoothest, most diverse rapper of all time. Dude is a legend.
@@joshdude6431 the growth from back then is amazing. Still fred but im sure being from a mixed up place like Gary in the Midwest it helped
He is a legend
Freddie Gibbs is timeless
i CANT go a day without listening to freddie gibbs, hope i aint the only one
Is this still true?
@@nathanpryer715 for me it is
Has a day passed or nah!?
Gibbs got the smoothest flow in hip hop rn
Rn
still the smoothest
you cant spit this shit like him if ya tried hes a special cat
This is incredible for 2009, sounds like you could hear it today or in the 90’s but when you think of rap in 2009 this is so different
I really thought the song was from the 90s 🤣.
good point
The fact that this song is going to be forgotten someday just pisses me off.
Love the vibe
i dont know about that one . i found this song like nothing and i started listening to his shit like 2 weeks ago lol theres still hope brotha
Midwest guy here. this track and this video really hit home
Nah, keeping this alive 2022 till eternity. 🔥
Still break my neck in Germany 2022🔥🔥🔥🔥

I liked the 11 years ago. Was the 2nd song I heard of Gibbs. Been here since.
Still a fucking banger today
I’m proud of Gibbs man to see where he is now is dope as hell
Now Freddie Gibbs shows that he is the Legend rapper of 2010's
just now realized that he always was one of the best
living legend
Young Freddie hits different. He has come so far and continues to evolve and improve. This the dude!
his older stuff was lyrically sharper and hit harder than his newer music. Although I love his new music, he'll never top Midwest or Miseducation mixtapes.
@@eyecontrol4900 True it was also more authethic since he rapped a lot more about his stuggles in the early days instead of fantasy crime stories.
hell yea freddie gibbs came up. dude aint even change his style. real G
Still true. Lol :) he's the best
salute to everyone finally noticing Gibbs is the goatt of this generation. dude has been too good for too long. been listening to him since "live from Gary Indiana" yearssss ago n knew dude was special
YoMama ChiTown he ain't better than king Kendrick lil ass nigga go listen to the heart part 4
for me its been the how we do rmx that put me on to freddie. he's far on top of my fav rappers list. give him ANY beat and he'll rip it. no doubt
Yes sirrrrr, been fucking with Fred heavily ever since he dropped Shadow of a Doubt. And now he's literally a top 5 rapper alive. Incredible, truly did everything he could've done regarding his potential. If he keeps dropping classic albums like this he's going to be one of the greatest of all time.
Heard the Isley brothers sample on Freddie’s story today and it brought me back to this classic. Kane the goat.
Facts
Fred at it again, dope as old school beat
Gangsta Gibbs, one of the realest rappers goin'
2020 in da house
Smooth. Freddie's too underrated.
anyone else loves how they used an old camera to emulate the 90's?
it wasn't on purpose.
i aint buying that garbage chemical weed fuck outta here. that shit is terrible for you. im smokin the real shit right now im good.
skigh45 haha i think its spam homie
skigh45 and ik it wasnt on purpose i just think its cool how it adds to the feel
Stefen May Your original comment made it seem like you thought they intended to do it with the desire to emulate the 90's.
Its been 10 yrs but still 🔥
YOUNG CUZ REPRESENTED NICELY ON THIS ONE.. GOTTA LOVE IT... MIDWEST TIL THE DAY REST!!!!! PEACE -SKRILLA HOUSE
Freddie at his prime was something to appreciate. 12 years later this makes you just reflect on better times. Gibbs Indiana legend 💯
I really wouldn't call this his prime. I would say that's actually just recently
& if not than maybe around Pinata days which came out in 2014 sure but was being recorded before that. that's hard to justify though when right before Pinata he did E$GN which was cool at the time but I'm hindsight doesnt hold up like his others & is arguably his most forgettable project.
I been a Freddie Gibbs fan since 2009 so I'm not just a new fan either
@@darkskinwhite his rapping back in this time period was alot sharper than it is nowadays. Miseducation of gibbs, midwest and str8 killa are easily some of his best work ever. He was hungry back then.
@@kiz5562..gibbs a better emcee now....n I remember all that...pinanta...n his Las 3 albums ..alfredo..bandana n sold soul separately 🔥🔥
@@darkskinwhitenah ESGN tough, his most thugged out project
Wonder what percentage of people are listening to real music still, not too many recent comments
Ayee, nice name lol. Not too many of us out here, but it’s good we can vibe away from the mainstream.
🖐
🔵😎💲
I am a fan of Kane since 2013.
I mean, GIbbs releases so much new music almost every year that it's easy to forget about these old gems. I'm too busy listening to his new shit like Alfredo. He delivers with every project, he might be the most consistent rappers in the entire game right now.
Freddie G the greatest
Born in Indiana, not from the hood or Gary by no means. Fell in love with rap, and I’m glad this man gangsta Gibbs chased the life down he did. His real life story telling songs, are relatable regardless of the background. Just relate to the struggle and hustle of daily life.
This still my joint
This is one of the few dudes who makes me proud to be from Indiana
2022 and we still here listening to this classic

xxdfoster yes you do.
xxdfoster one of the most slept on rappers...pinata still in rotation in 2017
Heavy rotation as well, can't get enough. Bandana gonna be dope.
The beats on Bandana was originally for Kanye - Kanye had a long battle to get those beats but Gangster Gibbs aka Big Freddy Kane got them beats for Bandana
Bandana is gonna be soooo dope
first heard Gibbs some 10 years ago. was convinced he was the GOAT back then alrdy
Man he done came a along way! I love to see that.

How dope is that !?
2 of my all time favorites
He's one of the only Emcees that can rap over a Pac beat and still keep that shit BANGING! big ups Gangster Gibbs
I love this track, this vid and Gibbs. I'm from Brazil, I used to think that in this vid there's a whole bunch of snow, but now that I've been living in Finland for a while I can barely spot any snow at all haha
Actually it was shot in the snow: and during a ice storm. When i was editing it i had to remove the snow from the bottom of the car panels per request the label. (Abb records). In some of the shots the wind chill factor was -80. We literally ran for safety from elements back to the warm waiting car in a few shots. I also had to blur the license plate and a few other little things to clean it up. In the shot where he was sitting in the convertible it was -35 to -40 degrees. Was easily the coldest video shoot i was ever a part of, even boarder line dangerous not because of the hood, (which was real) but the cold 🥶 it was deadly cold. You could only stay out in it for roughly 3 min before genuinely knowing it was not even safe to be out in that. Great times 😅🎉
@@djJustJay That´s so cool to have this inside view, what was happening at the moment of the shooting and how it was, thanks for sharing that.
This is real hip hop! This will love forever✊🏼
