Lupe the first rapper to use a blinker while driving a car in a music video
dead
😂❤
Because he’s a conscious rapper 😂
conscious driver^ 😂
😅😅 didn't he just tell you he's gonna be the ONE?🔥🔥
Them old school Lupe vibes felt the chills🥶🥶
I'm very thankfull that we have you Lupe!
Lupe always making us bugging!
Food and liquor time baby
Lupe has been dropping the soundtrack to my life....🫡🫡🫡
smooth sailing. Maestro.
Sounds like the old school, lupe man. This goes hard
Album is🔥🔥
LUPE FOREVER 🔥🔥🔥
Get it G!!!!!!!!
Oh snap!!!!!! This is fire!!
Lupe, do a tour for the one time. 🙏🏽 I still play Tetsuo & Youth.
That's for sure 💯
Watching the rappers you grew up on as a teenager turn grey headed is so trippy to see. It's also a testament to their longevity. Lupe is my favorite rapper of all time, and the best to ever touch a mic
Lol😂😂😂😂 attention
Same thing with movie stars. All the cool movies I saw as a kid starred actors who are now in their 70's but so young in the movies. Time goes fast my parents weren't lying.
@@vman3695Time doesn't have any time
"best to ever touch a mic" 🤔
Was just thinking this as I was watching the video! I was 11 when Food & Liquor came out and I was cutting grass to buy a skateboard and Lupe's album. Those items were the first things I can remember buying with my own money
My man just dropped a tune with a Afro Samurai reference. Today gonna be a great day.
yo I go back and watch that series every now and then. So good.
@@MacLaw3084 Me too lol. And not just because it's about me 😂
Got it on DVD
The number 1 headband 🔥🥇
Ok can u explain the Afro Samurai? I'm put the loop?
This is that mid 90s vibe and energy 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔊🔊🔊🔊🎤🎤🎤🎤
NO NO its HIPHOP! NOT mid 90's mybe 93-94. How I know this..I was 18 1994
💯💯💯 This that “the time i was born in” feeling 😆
❤
Lupe with the lowcut again. This legit feels like the days of The Cool
Oh snap, I just noticed that!!!! Whaaaa happened to the Locs
He cut them a loooong time ago lol he was rockin a fro after that like a Cesar @@LLO227
@@LLO227he cut them sometime in 2020
It ain’t The Cool tho….
He don't age
Lupe not have a million subscribers is such a disrespect. Living legend
🐐
This comment just made me subscribe 😂
The world doesn't owe Lupe a damn thing.🤷🏻♂️
@@s.m.drecords238😂 facts
best rapper right now
Lupe Fiasco just dropped two more back to back classics. Drill Music and Samurai have SUCH presence. I can't even properly describe it but this music is so chill and so hype at the same time.
🗣🗣🔥🔥 I'MMA BE THE OOOOONNNEEE
"so chill and so hype at the same time" was literally thinking about that yesterday. Like if Andre and Big Boi were 1 dude
@@GKTorn. He said he was a one man outkast on SLR so, continues to be true lol
@@GKTorn. exactly, yes. Add a one man outcast (that's a bar) to the many titles Lupe has. That's perfect.
@@chinortega3😁 you already know..FNF UPPP!!!
lupe has so much aura rn
I hope young artists are studying this man’s consistency
dont worry we definitly are
i wouldn’t say he’s been super consistent in albums, but he’s definitely always been creative and lyrically on point
I think ur using the word consistency wrong, respectfully
I’m 16 and english is not even my main language, I’m from eastern Europe and I actually rap in my own language, romanian, but Lupe might me one of my biggest influences tbh
Yes he has your ears just aint been receiving it @@ttdanimations1231
This new album solidified the fact for me that even when Lu's new stuff sounds familiar it still got a certified freshness to it
I have kinda listened x2 but not on focus.. sounds like he's a bit more litehearted and not as aggressively activistic on this one. no intro from his sister etc etc.. straight into the single on track 1. like you said... fresh.. up beat late 80s... 90s kinda feel. Lotta instrumentation.. Friday night live band at the poetry club type of feel
A thousand years from now we're still going to be studying and breaking down Lupe.
Literally just broke down WAV files recently, took me a long ass time to understand everything lol
Absolutely 💯
For sure
Big facts
@mikey420ful have you done Mural? 🤭
This is the LUPE we all fell in love with it, i'm happy he's back!
Back?
he's been here bro lol you just got sidetracked
What the f are you talking about? 🤔
Where did he ever go? Lol
He’s BEEN back ! Ever since Tetsuo !
The jazz on this sounds incredible 🔥
No doubt 🤩
I would love for him and Kamasi to do something
This track has that 90’s feel to it. Takes you back to the good old days!
Okay…. Let’s be real… If we talking lyricism. Lupe is top 5 alive, cadence, similes, schemes, metaphors, diction etc…. Let’s honor being spoiled to witness his art. 2024 is a great year for hip hop
He makes great choruses too, alot of ppl talks about his lyricism but his choruses are greatly sequenced
I agree. I would’ve put KDot on the list too but he’s so caught up in the drama it’s pathetic. Lupe always stayed above the BS and kept in his lane. Kendrick made such a huge mistake even engaging in that beef nonsense. It just turned him into exactly what the industry wants- another puppet.
Lupe Forever tho ♾️
Top 3 easy.
Lupe, Eminem, Nas
@@Advaitamanta agreed
@@dontmugurself I agree to an extent, but it kinda hurts the industry as drake is embedded in it and kdot is an independent. It looks surface level but I think it was bound to happen as tension has been between them for a decade. Nonetheless I do think we got good music from it, and some not so good. But for it to end peacefully and no deaths, I can admire the artistry in it. The level of competition is also a part of hip hop.
This man has been underrated for ages. He´s a hidden gem.
He's not underrated, Lupe fans know what's up
@@hiphopsince1972 Yeah he had a hit song like 12 years ago.
YUSS! This is exactly the "urban-New-York-retro-jazzy-intellectual-rap" I am digging!
Whatever you said is probably my favourite Sub genre
I also enjoy Jazz Liberatorz and Soul Square, some that belong to this niche subgenre. They're mostly instrumental but frequently feature rappers
@@justinnyugen7015 Totally on board with you!
I saw Lupe and clicked as fast as possible.
Same. I have so much respect for this artist. About 12 years ago he came to Greensboro, NC for the first annual triad music fest and during his set, the power cut. Instead of leaving, he said let's do this campfire style. Cupped his hands and rapped the rest of his performance Acapella. I have some of it on video but I gotta search my icloud. It was a memorable night
Immediately
👑In my opinion when people have the whole Kendrick, J.Cole, Drake debate they need to include LUPE... even though they kinda are his little bros (not peers).
Right
Include??? He cookin them dudes
@@milliemusic I agree, yet they leave him out the argument of their best MC last 15 years talk - u hear the other 3
Lupe doesn't have the popular opinion but that's fine. He's the rappers rapper.
Lupe over both J. Fold and kendrick... They not even close.... cute little rhymes tho
Lupe is versus himself right now.
Right? He's so on it
😆 Lupe vs. Lupe
Lu will duel a dual identity, dueling enemies
Do it to 'em, chewin' through 'em without doing it dentally
Facts, because nobody cares! 🤣
@@nikk796damn what song this is?
Lupe got the gold chains on, riding around in the Porsche with a goddess by his side with her nails done and big titties. He's skating so efforlessly on the jazziest hip-hop beat rapping like no one else exists in the world. He really is the one. No one comes close. And he's so non-chalant without a care in the world. Life is good.
you nailed it
Facts ☝🏽
Def the jazziest hiphop beat
You really don't hear stuff like this these days anymore. It gives me such a nostalgic feeling. Like back in the blog days, I would open up 2dopeboyz and find a rare gem like this. I miss those days of music, because it was undeniably organic.
Damn bro those were the days...spending hours in blogs/forums collecting mixtapes and tracks. Digital digging for gold
💯
Facts! Reminds me of the early 2010s, blogsites had the best underground hiphop community, and songs like this were there showing up for real hiphop. The scene still exists obviously but it's not the same, it used to feel so classic and chill like this song does
Facts!!
2dopeboyz was the shit back in the day. That’s where I originally found out about artists like Kendrick & Cole, crazy to see how they blew up.
This shit is so fucking fire. If Lupe was born earlier he would have been THE leading artist in the boombap era. I love this vibe for him, it feels like he's rediscovered himself and is more at peace and happy.
Lupe x Afro samurai x beautiful melanated ladies.. I triple approve 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
The fact that no one who considers themselves a serious rapper or lyricist EVER mentions Lupe ever in any Top list, etc. is just embarrassing to them.
He’s in my top 5
That's because they can't catch it. His shit be like k dot but sometimes even pass that. They need to listen to it like 3 time and then the light comes on.
Lupe's #2 right behind Aesop
@@yendorvol9707Kendrick isn't even close to Lupe on lyricism. Kendrick doesn't even reach Lil Wayne levels. I'm amazed you'd compare them, honestly.
Lupe - you're the GOAT. Keep on teaching the world everything you know.
Facts...lupe for president 😂
You're saying there is no one better than Lupe? You must not listen to a lot of music. Lol.
@@acm0045 yep, best rapper of all time in my subjective opinion. And yes I listen to lots of music.
He is…that is why they don’t talk about him…makes almost everybody look wack or at least pale.
Lupe is a light pack, good lyrically and stylistically but thats not enough - dudes like Conway, Mach or RomeStreetz are way above him because they carry the culture
With a NATURAL haired BLACK woman!😍
Stunningly beautiful black women! I’m in awe. Like yesssss! Represent ❤
Saw BEAUTIFUL MELANIN🍫 & clicked. Simple!
Still enslaved lmao
Clean, lyrical, and witty wordplay. Lupe doesn't disappoint.
Just woke up,, it’s a great day when this is your in feed 1st thing in the morning 🔥🔥🔥
Already! 🥷🏾🐐
No doubt ❤
He really name dropped Larry Wheels. That's tough. Lupe's range of references never ceases to amaze.
Man Lupe really got in his bag for this album. Sounds so nostalgic and just a vibe🔥🔥
He def has the No. 1 headband
🐐 "Try to run in my shoes, gotta throw your puma's to Pluto.." NUMBER 1 damn lu... this the one.
Numero UNO + PUMA = J. COLE 😅 tell me I'm reaching

You and the 🖊️?😊
It's just BIG LUPE !! Best song on the album !!
Yea. Now this is the type of sound he needs more often.
that man haircut clean af
Deserves a big paycheck for his contributions. Really creates these cool worlds I'm impressed by his range.
All proceeds to my chain ⛓️
Beautiful ladies in the video 👸🏿🥰
Afro Samurai... No. 1 Headband. If you ain't see the movie you should..
It wasn’t a movie. It was a tv show
@d3arb0rns your right and wrong because the sequel was TV Movie.. your welcone
soon as i saw the title i knew i got all of afro samaurai about to reawatch
"Afro-Samurai" was the series.
"Afro-Samurai: Resurrection" was the movie.
Now this is word play artistry at its best.
I've been saying for years that Lupe fiasco was my favorite artist of all time. Back when I first got introduced to him, listening to food and liquor was such a breath of fresh air for me as a hip hop fan. I instantly thought that Lupe has the ability to know what to give to hip hop right when it needs it the most. So now, when I heard the samurai track I knew that this album was going to be special. This album has such a nostalgic feel and this is what hip hop needs right now especially celebrating the anniversary of it. How many hip hop artists can you say that not only have contributed to the hip hop culture but also help teach it to preserve its legacy. These are the things that makes him great.
I agree with you. Lupe teachings are truly inspiring. I learnt words and concepts from him the school has yet to teach me. Ppl who hate on him just don't want to take the time to break down what he is saying.
Marry him lol
Remember I was in High School when I heard his verse on Touch the Sky and then heard Kick Push and I was a fan. Then I heard Food and Liquor and he's been my favorite rapper since then...
@@sora4440 just like you, I first heard you later on touch the sky and I thought it was such a different way to present a verse and instantly caught attention. Then when I heard the food and liquor album I felt like the production was so good on there that I could hear all those songs Live and the beats will probably sound the same. When him and soundtrak get together it's a beautiful thing musically.
Glad LUPE not sounding like these other rapper's in 2024 creating beef records to sell!!!!!
He's trying 2 beef with Kendrick. What u talking about?
It’s laced in there, but in the more traditional kinda way of ‘you good but im better’. The subtlety takes skill.
0:10 Lupe was like "I need the sax 10 seconds in or less." And a classic was made.
He Still “Beamin’” 🌟
Classic Lupe. He has this lane locked with the keys. Pen forever fresh!
This that old Lupe again 💯
Lupe a Genius... And He creates masterpieces...
Lupe's flow is next level. A true lyricist. One of my biggest inspirations for making music
Think about it. The whole J. Cole. Kendrick, Drake beef, then Lupe drops this in the middle of all that!! The fucking balls! Because he knows he’s the GOAT! None of them can fuck with him!
Sounds like classic hip hop. De la soul, Tribe called quest, common. And so many more from that classic era. 🙌
Lupe is a serious lyrical problem for every MC out there. Hands down...
Love the Afro Samurai reference Lupe my favorite rapper thanks for all the years of motivation.
THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME, WHAT A BLESSING THIS MAN IS FOR OUR CULTURE!!! 🔥🔥🔥
One of the greatest to ever do it
Headphones on the train, headbanging to the snare-a
I'll put it in your range, let it wang like Vera
This man just gets better.
I’ve listen through 4 times already and this man just kills this. 🔥🔥
Oh yeah, the ladies were a nice touch to the video.
I doubt you’ll see this Wasalu, but your music has helped me through the good times and the bad. You’ve been my favourite rapper for almost 20 years and you have never made a bad song! I just wanted to say thank you, and if you don’t see this I know that you’ve always felt the support ❤
Every Lupe verse loses me for a minute then I get back on track 😂😂 the dopest outttt!!!!
Lol it be like that. I try to do 2 full listens without lyrics then a third with lyrics lol
I'm so here for Lupe's realignment. It's a beautiful sight to behold. 🙌🏼
How sway how ye??😂
This song is fire 🔥. Replay all day
Please let Lupe get his flowers that he deserves Ther most slept on MC , his lyrics goes over sheoples heads
I bet this is what Afro Samurai listens to when he smokes
Shout out to Lupe for actually having a real black woman beside him in. All Black Everything!
" I have come for my father...and the Number One Headband."
-Afro, from Afro Samurai
I've been a Lupe Fiasco fan since middle school. Now I'm 30. This man still bringing 🥵 my favorite rapper got me through a lot of with his music 🎶 still brings me joy
Now I love the rap game, but it IRRITATES me like CRAZY that artists like Lil Durk who just says “sipping sizzurp” the whole time gets millions of views in one day and this only has 80k…
This joint is so cool bruh, cool meaning Mile Davis cool… please keep making music like this for those who appreciate artistry and musicianship. Lupe you are a maestro sir!
And someone will tell me the likes of Jay-Z, Drake, lil Wayne, rick Ross etc are the greatest? Plssss. Lupe will remain one of my top 5
This is one of the best, smoothest beats I've ever heard. Lupe flowing effortlessly over it
Lupe isn't a artist, he is a mandate. The highest level of confidence and discipline on display here.
A lot of Lupé lyrical prowess is going over people's heads on this joint. Rewind (Back It Up)
Up easy back it up..
The real big 3: Lupe, Eminem and Nas. All dropping albums this year.
2 out of 3 is right lol.

Album is absolute fire. Listened to it 4 times through last night. 🔥🔥

Lupe Fiasco is Subliminal Sneak Dissing Kendrick Lamar
That last verse was fire incarnate. Can't wait till the album is out!
It's out now! Go grab that ASAP
Lupe is the only rapper that could take on Eminem 💯
Till eternity is my favorite 2 spins into this album however it could change at any time. Great album.
Literally, a newer age professor of lyricism is showing us how it's done.
