Did you ceramic coat your Porsche Sport Exhaust? I'm getting the PSE on my new factory ordered Macan in the spring. It will have black exhaust tips and I'm wonder what you do for yours. If coated you must need a heat tolerant coating? Is there a concern that the coating could trap heat in the exhaust tips? Thanks Pan!

Totally guessed this one from when you picked it up lol. Keep this tradition going! Hope to see the other coating in a future video. The new ride looks fantastic! 🏎
Pan congratulations on the beautiful Porsche and as your learning the self cleaning may be the superstar of C6 Hydro. It is really cool watching those high contact angle water beads slide off your hood while driving in the rain. Hopefully you guys are enjoying the spring weather while us southerners having been looking in awe at the northern lights through our phones. Thank you for a fun video!
Great video. Yvan and DIY have some great products and produce great videos. I want to thank Yvan for breaking the myth in a previous video that coatings have to be applied in a cross hatch pattern and can indeed be applied in a circular motion like he did here. That has saved me a lot of time. Thank you Yvan.
@@PanTheOrganizer I would love to do this ceramic process. I just bought a new Ford F250 Platinum. I have no shade to detail with 113 heat index and 90 percent humidity here in Texas. It just don't seem possible right now.
Outstanding!! I must say this was a very enjoyable video. Thanks for keeping it in real time pan. The coating & looks after is amazing!!! Yvan & Sylvia did and awesome job!! Also hoping to see a gloss meter arrive on the channel shortly 😁👍🏼🇨🇦
As a scientist, I can assure you that half of what is said in this video does not align with the scientific knowledge of surface coatings or modifications. The claims contradict themselves. For instance, polishing and applying an adhesion promoter without cleaning the surface is absurd. Furthermore, stating that an adhesion promoter contains a little polishing compound and then applying a ceramic coating right after contradicts the requirement that a ceramic coating must be applied to a clean, clear coat surface. This presentation uses a lot of scientific terminology that may impress the average person but does not hold up to critical thinking and scientific scrutiny. I hope this clarifies my points.
The C6 Ceramics APP isn’t a compound, it deep cleans the surface in a cream form instead of a liquid. The beautiful thing about science and technology is it’s not limited.
@@C6ceramics there are cutting compounds and polishes. The difference is in aggressiveness. Polisher is much milder, bedides oils that saturate clear coat it still contains polishing compounds. In the above video they refer to it containing small amount of polishing compounds. Guess what, after using it oils waxes, polishing compounds and everything else that was there remains on the top of clear coat. After you apply ceramic coating, guess to what it will bind beside clear coat, right - to everything else that is on the surface. I see videos with claims only, did you ever did simple comparative test between different brands that measure contact angle of water on newly coated surface and the one that was subjected to accelerated aging ( temperature, UV, dirt and controlled cleaning with ddurfactants)? Was contact angle ever measured, or "good beading" is good enough for product promotion? Science and technology is based on the facts. With any coating product are there any scientific evidences on what is the surface composition before coating and after coating (FTIR analysis), surface roughness ( nano profilometer, AFM)?
I don't think it's that deep...But after watching some of these detailing videos, especially on channels that not just detail, but also try to "educate", I tend to agree that they like to throw in statements as if they're scientifically factually correct, while it's pretty clear that car detailing in general is pretty subjective, since we don't know what exactly are in all these products and how they interact with the paint coating (in the tons of different conditions). Probably to try and sell products/services by appearing to be "smart". At the end of the day, with car detailing it mostly comes down to look, feel and some basic facts as to ie. how long the hydrophobic effects of certain products are (even though these could also vastly vary depending on application condition, environment, usage of the car etc.). I have come to appreciate these videos more by simply looking at the (satisfying) process and the (satisfying) results and somewhat ignoring all the "in-depth" talk.
“Science” as you are describing is meaningless when it comes to real world results. Buy the coating and apply it using their methods, buy another coating and use it using their methods, compare results. They are speaking for the layman, this video isn’t the breakdown, wait for the next one and then let’s hear your critiques.
Wow Pan. Yvan and his wife knocked it out of the park. True dream team. Your new ride is smokin slick. Thanks for all you guys bring to this crazy car enthusiast world. Cheers and enjoy your weekend.
The look Yvan gave Pan after he touched the car without protection was classic!! Great looking coating offerings and the APP looks like a next-level product. It's an exciting time to be a detailing enthusiast!

Pan, I am meticulous about keeping my car clean. So what is your advice about maintaining the outside of the vehicle on a 3 week road trip with none of my home detailing equipment? What should I bring, suggestions as to how to wash, etc?? Thanks
Just pre-order C6 Hydro lite last Friday, can't wait to try it 😊 applied the stack 5 + 3 last weekend on 2 Mustang and the result was more than astonishing... DIY Detail are now the only products I use for detailing and it never put me down, awesome products, big big thanks to Yvan, Nick, Sylvie and you Pan to get me back into detailing again 😊
That water behavior and gloss is wild. I like Yvan.. he knows his stuff and is passionate. (not that you aren't Pan, haha) but taking about someone marketing a coating. Sweet stuff, and congrats on the Cayenne!
@diydetailofficial Yvan how often do you wash your pad throughout the polishing process? It also appears you did not wipe off the polish between the initial polish and the jewel pad with the rotary polisher is that accurate? Last question. If you do not own a rotary polisher can you still use the red jewel pad on a D-A polisher? Thanks in advance. 😁
Hi Pan, sorry if I sounded ungrateful. I think you are definitely the most informative detailing channel with by far the largest content on TH-cam. I know you must spend an immeasurable amount of time filming, editing and loading content . If you are doing all this alone it is really commendable. Your efforts are appreciated so thank you.
Love seeing Pan and Yvan together! This C6 coating went on just as easily as the DIY line. The only difference was using the APP step. How great is that! The gloss! The hydrophobics! The water just flys off! Pan the Cayenne looks incredible. Enjoy!
Was really looking forward to this video. Glad the tradition stays with Yvan and Sylvie coating your newest vehicles! And now looking forward for the deep dive video on C6/DIY products!
Oh yeah!! That's the spirit. And who knows where the technology will bring us in three years. Three years ago, we would have never thought to see all this tech put into one coating! :)
Congratulations Pan. It looks great. C6 is a great coating, I installed diamond gloss on my vintage Corvette and am blown away. Enjoy your new Porsche.
Hi Pan. It would be nice if you could eventually make a video on How to build a home garage for detailing, including the materials used for the walls, floors, etc to ensuere that everything is safe and doesnt cause any damage to the house
Okay I need your help. After watching you and Yvan for some time now, I have purchased a two-year ceramic coat, turtle Wax flex wax, bead maker, and dream Maker. Are some of these products redundant or do I use them all and if so in what order? (DIY rinseless wash also for what it's worth which I use as a drying aid.)
You clearly have way too many paint protections, and you would not use them all on the same vehicle. If you bought a 2-year coating, that would be the most durable product from your list, so that should be your main paint protection. Flex Wax is the second most durable, typically lasting 6-12 months, so if you feel more comfortable using a spray product, use that instead of the 2-year coating, as I'm assuming that coating is in a glass bottle. For maintenance, after each wash or once a month, you can use Bead Maker. That will boost gloss and slickness. You can either use it as a drying aid on wet paint, or as a quick detailer on dry paint. You can also mix Bead Maker and Dream Maker together, to get even more gloss and also get anti-static properties. 1:10 mix as shown in my video here: th-cam.com/video/twuTd2VNlxw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=k5EM0e6_d00LGFcP
@@PanTheOrganizer yea I sort of figured that I had some redundancies which is why I wanted to ask you. But I have all of them because I never know which customer would prefer and just wanted to make sure I used them correctly, so ty for getting back to me so quickly and thoroughly
From what I see Yvan is using the Gold Standard Polish with the yellow pad then when he switches to the Red pad is he just going over the polish left from the yellow pad or do he put more gold standard on the red pad to get the extra shine?

Hey Pan really appreciate your work and knowledge you have been giving on your channel. I’m new to detailing industry and I got myself new HLR15 could you please make an update video for that coz I have seen some detailer have mentioned they have little bit struggle with different pads especially microfiber ones. Once again thanks for your knowledge and passion 😊🙏🏻😇
That has to be the best ceramic coating I’ve ever seen done on a car and what makes this video that much better was the fact you’re able to put your eagle to the side and have someone else come in and do that for you to share that moment and learning even more Great video. I got my call which is all black professionally detailed, and ceramic coded told me the code and was supposed to last two years but I don’t have the luxury of owning a garage I live in apartment part of the United States. I’m in the spring is very rainy and I’ve noticed the last time I wash my car Has decreased a lot. I guess that’s a normal thing from what I was told but I didn’t have a ceramic coding like this. Wow great video 👏👏
Thanks for the super positive feedback. I appreciate it! It’s nice to be able to let someone detail my car so I can sit back and film the process and be the voice of my viewers asking questions that people might have when applying coatings. 💪🏻👍🏻
@@C6ceramics I leave tht up to the pros 😂. but I think it's still good bc when I use the leave blower it goes off nicely. just doesnt look as smooth as this car did lol.
This is the glossiest ceramic coating I have ever seen!!! The beading are the tightest I’ve ever seen. This product looks to be the best coating made so far. (I’m not a professional detailer so I could be wrong)
It certainly is top tier and if it does well over time, I could see this ranking in my yearly awards. Best hydrophobics I have ever seen from a coating.
No as I detail daily drivers and orange peel is actually something you want to some extent as it masks a few imperfections with time. Wet sanding for a perfectly flat surface is mostly meant for garage queens, cars in museums or high valued collections that appear in shows like Pebble Beach or the Quail.
If you are using a DIY Detail coating no. But for any other coating, it’s still best to use a paint prep spray after the polishing steps, as a safety measure.
Great video Pan!!! Awesome to always have Yvan and Sylvie coat your vehicle. Like you said it is now a tradition!!!! I can’t wait to follow this coatings journey 💪💪
I've been following all of my cutting for the last month with the Gold Standard pad/polish combo. Fantastic system that's very easy to use, which has cut my polishing time significantly. Highly recommended.
Thanks for a great video. And congratulation on the 1 million and the new car. If Ivan and his wife ever should come to Denmark on a besiness trip to sell the C6 Hydro, I lovely come so the can show the stuff with a carwash, polish and the ceramic coating.. Hope the best for you and them, hope some one here in Denmark will get in touch with him so we can get DIY and C6
Congrats on the new car! For coating maintenance, are you still planning to use ADS Amplify with your regular washes? Curious how it will affect C6 performance characteristics.
I won't be using toppers that often with this coating, to preserve its awesome hydrophobics, as they are truly unmatched from any coating I have ever tested. Plus I use a blower to dry the car after washing, so I don't really need a drying aid. But once in a while, if I need I want a boost of gloss and slickness, perhaps I will use Amplify or any other quick detailer I like.

I’m asking because I don’t use my car much (2020 Challenger scat pack 50th anniversary very low mileage) thanks on advance for answering my question, blessings 🙏
Incredible result! What a car, what a friend and what products you have received in your precious Porsche. Again, a very helpful video. I was just wondering why Yvan didn’t masked the car before polishing. Maybe I was lost in translation during the process but it really called my attention. Awesome job indeed. Warm regards from one of your followers in Spain, Sr. Lobo Detailing 😊
Thanks Javier. No masking needed here as we were also polishing the gloss black trim. But you shoukd also note that the DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish does not stain plastic trim, so even if you don’t mask the trim, it’s not an issue. 👍🏻

Looks absolutely amazing Pan! I was/am very impressed with Yvan's product line. How would you compare it to ROAR? Which was on your other Porsche. I want to use exactly what he used on your car. Is a bundle to get?
Time will tell for durability, but so far, for gloss, slickness, and especially those hydrophobic properties, this is the best pro coating I have ever seen. You can't get the Hydro pro version that's on my car, as that's only available to certified C6 Ceramic installers, but you can get the Hydro Lite, same performance, just a 6 year durability claim instead of lifetime, and the Lite is easier to apply. Visually, you can't really tell a difference between Hydro and Hydro Lite, so you're still getting the bleeding edge of coating technology. If you use my link below to purchase the coating, as soon as you add the C6 Hydro Lite coating to your cart, you will get a $15 discount. Thanks! Yeah it’s nice once every three years I can let someone else do the work. I work so freaking hard it’s nuts. Pedal to the metal for what seems like 7 days a week haha.
Thank you for sharing! i have exactly the same Chalk Cayenne coupe 2022 model. and i have kept DIY wash car for one year. mostly I use 2 stuffs.GSF is used for a quick wash and S002 is used for coating.I have no problem with the smoothness and cleaning. But here is a problem from my ownership experience. 1. at the front hood there are some dirty points sucked into the original Varnish layer and it's deep! i tried clay /TEA/rust remover and even some polish. but none of these can touch the deep dirt. that drives me crazy. 2. I was in a car accident and the bumper was damaged, so I had to replace and repaint. it was a professional repair from local dealer, but no matter what, they are unable to restore my paint to the same level as the car body. And because the front bumper occupies a very large part of the vehicle body. Very subtle inconsistencies are particularly noticeable. It's a total nightmare for a guy who washes his own car. Under my insistence, they reworked three times before barely passing my inspection. 3. The gap between the hood and bumper may become uncontrollable during disassembly and assembly. Due to the linkage between these gaps and the car lights, any disassembly of the three must be done very carefully. It's best not to dismantle them for a lifetime.
Now this is what I had been waiting for since DIY detail began. Great video to both and Sylvie. What suggestion would be given for a car that has a previous ceramic coating?
There is only one way to ensure 100% removal of any previous coating: machine polishing. You need the mechanical abrasion from the compounding polish and pad to remove any previous protection. So you would use a strip soap, then iron remover, then clay the surface, then machine polish to your desired level of paint correction, then IPA wipe (if you're not using the DIY Gold Standard Polish) and then use the APP, and then apply the C6 Ceramics coating.
Hi pan, I'm your Italian fan. Can you tell me the model of blower you use to dry your car? or even more than one if there are others of good quality. Thank you

Yvan is just a pleasure to listen to 😊 Insane hydrophobics with that coating😍 The color you picked isnt the most “glossy”, but I could sense some improvement.
Awesome. I just put C6 Hydro on my new CRV. It goes on so easy. The APP was definitely a different way and it worked out great. The gloss and slickness are insane.
I have a 2016 GMC Terrain. Yes I have used Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray and Paste Wax as a base... what I have found works beautifully is to each panel apply Turtle Wax Pure Shine, Meguiars Gold Class, and Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer at the same time... try it out!
Man Pan first congrats on the 1 million subs!! You deserve it and grateful for all your advice and demonstrations.. I wish I found this channel before I trade-in my Cayenne🙁 for some reason I always loved wasting my time trying to detail it and such.
I do have a couple of questions: 1. Is is necessary to use a different polisher for the APP? 2. For the rinseless dampening towel, is there a mixture or dilution ratio you recommand? 3. Is the coating safe on chrome trim as well? Thanks for your help and videos, you always been a great help on my detailing journey!
1. For the APP, you need a short stroke polisher 3-9 mm max (hence why we used an orbital sander to apply APP, it has a 5mm orbit). 2. You use the standard 1:256 dilution (0.5 oz per gallon of water) 3. You can apply it on paint, glass, wheels, lights, plastic trim. We covered my entire Porsche.
Great video and product and I can't wait to apply mine shortly. One question though...I'm planning on having my front end PPF'd and will apply C6 coating on entire vehicle when returned; since PPF is not technically a paint like the clear coat, should the APP be used on the PPF anyway or avoided? I understood the process of swelling the paint, but don't know what to expect with PPF. Any clarification or insight to this would be greatly appreciated!
@@diydetailofficial Thank you! Another question as I prep to get this process going; Are you using Lake Country's cleaning solution in the bucket of their pad washer or is it just water to lube the pad? I love the system and know we can eject the moisture from the pad, but I'm a bit worried how any remnants of the cleaning solution might react with the spray polish.

Hehe thanks!
Thank you.
Holy cow, those hydrophobics are insane
They absolutely are the best hydrophobics I have seen so far!
Thank you.
Wow. What an amazing collaboration. The two best detailers in North America
Let’s go! Thanks Joseph!
Thank you.
Always awesome to have guests like Yvan! Keep it up and keep up updated
More to come!
Thank you.
Thanks Neil!
These videos are always giving out good information on detailing.
Glad you like them!
Thanks for watching Alan!
Thank you Alan.
Pan, Your face when opening the Hydro box is priceless.! Your like a little kid in a toy store. So much anticipation. Congratulations.
Hehe thanks for watching!
@@PanTheOrganizer I would love to do this ceramic process. I just bought a new Ford F250 Platinum. I have no shade to detail with 113 heat index and 90 percent humidity here in Texas. It just don't seem possible right now.

💪🏻👍🏻
Outstanding!! I must say this was a very enjoyable video. Thanks for keeping it in real time pan. The coating & looks after is amazing!!! Yvan & Sylvia did and awesome job!! Also hoping to see a gloss meter arrive on the channel shortly 😁👍🏼🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it!

As a scientist you have very poor grammar and spelling.
Wow Pan. Yvan and his wife knocked it out of the park. True dream team. Your new ride is smokin slick. Thanks for all you guys bring to this crazy car enthusiast world. Cheers and enjoy your weekend.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you.
The look Yvan gave Pan after he touched the car without protection was classic!! Great looking coating offerings and the APP looks like a next-level product. It's an exciting time to be a detailing enthusiast!
Glad you liked it!

Almost every time I watch one of your videos I go and wash my car. Yvan is such a master and a gentleman. Beautiful car, beautiful results. As always.
Glad to serve as an inspiration Maurice! :) I hope you are having a great weekend.

Thank you so much 😀
All 3 Legends in one video, rather fantastic. Your Cayenne looks terrific Pan
Glad you enjoyed it!

Pan, I am meticulous about keeping my car clean. So what is your advice about maintaining the outside of the vehicle on a 3 week road trip with none of my home detailing equipment? What should I bring, suggestions as to how to wash, etc?? Thanks
Get on the TH-cam Detail University 😂
Just pre-order C6 Hydro lite last Friday, can't wait to try it 😊 applied the stack 5 + 3 last weekend on 2 Mustang and the result was more than astonishing...
DIY Detail are now the only products I use for detailing and it never put me down, awesome products, big big thanks to Yvan, Nick, Sylvie and you Pan to get me back into detailing again 😊
Merci Yves
That water behavior and gloss is wild. I like Yvan.. he knows his stuff and is passionate. (not that you aren't Pan, haha) but taking about someone marketing a coating. Sweet stuff, and congrats on the Cayenne!
Thanks Brandon! And yes Yvan is a master at marketing. He could sell ice to an eskimo! 😂
Thank you
@diydetailofficial Yvan how often do you wash your pad throughout the polishing process? It also appears you did not wipe off the polish between the initial polish and the jewel pad with the rotary polisher is that accurate? Last question. If you do not own a rotary polisher can you still use the red jewel pad on a D-A polisher? Thanks in advance. 😁
We wash the pad after every section. Yes we leave the polish residue on the surface between steps. Yes a DA is fine.
Thanks Kev. I appreciate it. Yes I do everything solo. No team, just me. I appreciate the feedback. 😁👍🏻
Love seeing Pan and Yvan together! This C6 coating went on just as easily as the DIY line. The only difference was using the APP step. How great is that! The gloss! The hydrophobics! The water just flys off! Pan the Cayenne looks incredible. Enjoy!
Thanks Chris!
Thank you
Was really looking forward to this video. Glad the tradition stays with Yvan and Sylvie coating your newest vehicles! And now looking forward for the deep dive video on C6/DIY products!
It’s a great tradition indeed!
Thank you. Can’t wait to do this again in 3 years
Oh yeah!! That's the spirit. And who knows where the technology will bring us in three years. Three years ago, we would have never thought to see all this tech put into one coating! :)

Hi Pan and Yvan, that was a great job on the Porsche, all the best to Yvan with his new venture

Every time he cleans the pads, he adds one spray if the polish.
Pan, I just smiled when I saw that it was Ivan doing the coating on your new ride. You both are my favorites. I always enjoy the passion and the knowledge you both have for the industry. At the moment I find the hardest thing is to pick a coating once I do the coating correction on my ride. Your new ride is nice but I miss the 911 turbo S, LoL. Cruz on
Thanks Chris!

Update video about what? I already did a video on the LHR15 polisher.
Very nice! Can’t wait for the drying lubricant to be available
Me too!
In about 6 weeks
Try to decontaminate your coating before thinking it’s gone.
@@C6ceramics I leave tht up to the pros 😂. but I think it's still good bc when I use the leave blower it goes off nicely. just doesnt look as smooth as this car did lol.
If you needed to remove some deeper scratches, would you use the DIY Detail wool pad prior to the waffle and jeweling pad?
Yes of course. That would be a multi-step paint correction.
Yes
This is the glossiest ceramic coating I have ever seen!!! The beading are the tightest I’ve ever seen. This product looks to be the best coating made so far. (I’m not a professional detailer so I could be wrong)
Thank you.
It certainly is top tier and if it does well over time, I could see this ranking in my yearly awards. Best hydrophobics I have ever seen from a coating.
The gloss is spectacular. Congrats Pan.
It really is! Thanks Rafael!
Have you ever considered wet sanding paintwork, on any vehicle, to remove orange peeling? ty
No as I detail daily drivers and orange peel is actually something you want to some extent as it masks a few imperfections with time. Wet sanding for a perfectly flat surface is mostly meant for garage queens, cars in museums or high valued collections that appear in shows like Pebble Beach or the Quail.
So basicly, if using the GSp and wiping of with rinsless..you do not need a panel prep before ceramic coating?
Nice vid pan, thank you
If you are using a DIY Detail coating no. But for any other coating, it’s still best to use a paint prep spray after the polishing steps, as a safety measure.
As Pan said, if staying in the DIY Detail/C6 Ceramics family, panel prep is more for insurance.
Great video Pan!!! Awesome to always have Yvan and Sylvie coat your vehicle. Like you said it is now a tradition!!!! I can’t wait to follow this coatings journey 💪💪
Right on!
Thank you
Beautiful work and very interesting products.

Hey! I love love love this content! Would the same process and products apply to satin/matt wheels or will it make them glossier?
The same coating, but no polishing.
I've been following all of my cutting for the last month with the Gold Standard pad/polish combo. Fantastic system that's very easy to use, which has cut my polishing time significantly. Highly recommended.
Great to hear!
Thanks!
Thank you
Congrats on the new car!

Hello Pan; here from LA CA; learning a lot from what you teach about your passion for detailing, Just one question; It is recommended to use a car-cover after te vehicle has been detailed?
Hi Pan,

So exciting! I have a bottle of Hydro Lite I can't wait to try.
Enjoy!
Brilliant work! The results are stunning.
Thank you! Cheers!

I was anticipating this video and super happy to see Yvan applying c6 on it! Great video Pan
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you.
Great video, Pan! :) Is the roof of the car polished as well, or should the sunroof be avoided?
You can polish the glass as well if you see it has water spots or needs a chemical cleaning for example. Not as important on a brand new car.
Thank you, as Pan said, only polishing can ensure the surface is ready.
Hi pan, I'm your Italian fan. Can you tell me the model of blower you use to dry your car? or even more than one if there are others of good quality. Thank you

The color you picked isnt the most “glossy”, but I could sense some improvement.
It’s freaking glossy for sure. Camera doesn’t do it justice.
Awesome. I just put C6 Hydro on my new CRV. It goes on so easy. The APP was definitely a different way and it worked out great. The gloss and slickness are insane.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience.
Thank you.
Pan, have you tested the new Cerakote ceramic coating yet?
I received the new version at the end of April and have been testing since. Video to come soon.
Thanks!
Thank you. Detailing isn’t a waste of time.
I do have a couple of questions:
2. You use the standard 1:256 dilution (0.5 oz per gallon of water)
Yes, both PPF and clearcoat are plastic.
Best Coating video on the Net.
Glad you think so! 💪🏻
Thank you.
I see the coating is applied on the wheel, does it need to use APP before hand?
Ideally yes. But we weren’t doing a wheels off detail here. So paint prep was used instead.
