So I look at youtube and I see Patrick has a new video...which I immediately watch. I can't afford it, i would love to have it!!! BUT Patrick is so wonderful in doing these that I watch videos on trailers I am not looking to buy. Weill done and please keep doing them.
This is some top quality stuff..you can't make something like this at home .and off the charts resale . A young person would be foolish not to consider an airstream. It's still the pride of the usa .
Yes please use made in USA parts. My Houston made taxa cricket is about 60 percent China steel rivets axle tires brake and metal, windows from Finland. Zero part made in USA. Proudly assembled in USA is what we are today for everything😢
Huge upgrade on the 2008 Airstream Basecamp I seen recently. Interestingly Swift ltd make a caravan in the UK also named basecamp. One of the most popular vans in the UK
Beautiful trailer; however, I think you missed the mark by having a flush toilet. Should have a Wrappon Green toilet or composting toilet which would allow for a larger fresh water tank up to around 50 gallons allowing longer stays dry camping.
Hi Patrick, great video, as always! Many thanks. Can you add the contents of the REI Kit Bag to the video description (looks like it's not there yet)? Thanks!
Pat, I love the additions or improvements in this version. It would be nice if they add two quality plastic bins for the shelves under the fridge.. This way you can slide the bin out to pick something in the back without having to mess with all the stuff in the front. It will be also easier for the user to pack stuff in the bin and simply bring the plastic "drawer" in. Today most people want a convention MW oven. Is that an option or could it made to be a standard feature. I guess people will need to pay the dealer to upgrade both fans. Airstream should take a hint from Rockwood and install the best Maxx Air Fans. Doing that rear bed is a workout.
I invented that zippered rear screen door. 😂 Airstream definitely monitors Facebook fan pages because I came up with that for my old Basecamp 16, and then did it to my 20 as well.
@@colonialairstream nope, but in my defense, I did mine CORRECTLY, in that my “zipper mod” (look it up on Airstream Basecamp Facebook pages) is horizontal, not vertical. It was discussed at length several years ago. Horizontal at the level where the cushions would be allows you to access lower storage, pass things into the Basecamp (CPAP comes to mind) and you don’t have to look at a zipper seam. I doubt one could patent installing a zipper. Glad they were smart enough to adopt it though, because one way or another, it used to be IMPOSSIBLE to snap on the screen from outside of the Basecamp without it.

Whoa, whoa Patrick slow your sexy roll… are you saying AC is an add-on - not included? Asking as someone who has noticed that temperatures aren’t hospitable in most US locations for Boondocking in the past two years.
We are looking at this and buying at your dealership. Can your dealership do modifications for us. We would want a bigger fridge if possible. More solar, lithium etc.

Think of what $72k could get for a more practical and functional camper. Don't get me wrong but buying an aistream is simply for the name and bragging rights (like Mercedes-Benz or porshe). If I had a budget for like a 2nd camper id get this for fun, but definitely not my one and only camper for my family.
I’ve never met an airstream owner brag about it. They don’t have to. You can’t afford one, be happy with what you have. The jealous comments don’t help your cause
It's the rugged ready to go adventure Airstream that you can pull with your mid-size truck.... or is it? My Tacoma has a rooftop tent, bigger tires, and additional upgrades... the payload on midsize trucks is very low, add in the Airstream, two humans, a dog, and your gear and your easily over your payload. This is going to be the case with anyone who actually goes on real adventures... We all have gear.... bikes, kayaks, rock pads, ropes, shovels, etc. Am I still getting one, probably...but it sucks that I need to get a whole new truck in the process.
@@colonialairstream A 21 Tacoma has a payload of 1685lbs -535lbs for hitch weight-500lbs for the truck cap-200lbs for bigger tires-200lbs for upgraded suspension-335lbs for two adults and I'm already in the negative by 85lbs without a cooler, bikes, chairs, generator, solar batteries, cell phones, dogs, camera gear.... everything takes away from your payload. This is only feasible with a fully stock truck and you're are still going to be limited with what you can bring with you. These are for still too much for a midsize truck, without increased risk.
It looks cool but I can’t figure out who this is for. The tanks and solar aren’t ideal for boondocking. It’s not as luxurious as a traditional Airstrream. Who buys these and what do they do with them?!
If you have ANY gear you will exceed your payload pretty quick. If you don't mind travelling light you might get away with it but not a lot of wiggle room in a 4runner.

We understand that price is a significant factor when considering a new RV. The Airstream lineup is known for its quality, durability, and timeless design, which contribute to its pricing. However, we also offer a range of models and financing options to fit different budgets. As well as pre-owned units, which could be a great solution to budget issues. Thank you for watching!
I really like how he fondles and strokes some of of the metal features. Showing us how smooth and silky these features really are!
Got to love them.

Super neat lil trailer and love that tent that hookups
Great
Most favorite Airstream- such a flexible trailer. Patrick feeling that tail light-❤ he absolutely appreciates the product he demonstrates 🥰🥰🥰

Impressive holding tank sizes for this small rig. Well-done craftsmanship. And great video -- as usual. Thanks!

They have an option for a composting toilet for this very reason.
The composting toilet is available as a factory option. The Wrappon is not a practicle toilet based on cost per flush for an active RV user.
FYI water weighs about 8.5 lbs/gal. So 50 gallons of water would weigh 425 pounds. You only have 800 pounds of optional weight - just saying.
Just eat a little less
Can't camp very long with that tiny fridge.
Great review as usual!
Thanks again!

i just wish Airstream would offer the blinds that go from bottom-up (like Winnebago does). More privacy and allows you to keep a view out!
The soft roll-up blinds with zippers do that; just wish the cellular ones did. 😊
These are bottom up shades.

It definitely has been done. The product is designed for recreational use for camping, not a house.
