So sorry and you are correct. It has an MC as well. No idea what happened there! But this makes the amp even better. I’ll do a follow up as I’m putting this in an analog setup tomorrow. Thank you!
My B2+ arrived today. I am running them with an Audiolab 6000A amp. I am blown away!! these things handle any genre I throw at them. I am in love with music again...
I recently added the Emotiva TA1 Integrated Amp ($399 on sale) to my Emotiva Airmotiv XB2 Bookshelf Speakers ($399 on sale) and WOW! We're talking under $800 here folks. I'm also using the Bass Management system to connect to a RSL 10E Speedwoofer ($279 with rebate), so I got everything on sale! Also, it is all connected using the cables that you recommended. 👍 Thanks for the great review which really reinforced my decisions.
Another solid honest review. You are one of my top sources For audio gear. I purchased the Willsenton r 8 based on your Review and paired it with Wharfedale Lintons and my Node 2i streamer. Still breaking In super happy. I was looking into a backup system and the Emotiva set up is impressive. Thank you for your passion.
I like the mix of high end and lower end gear. I don’t mind seeing your thoughts on budget systems and I always look forward to your reviews of reference systems. Thanks for your videos!
Fantastic review! Thank you for taking a look at the affordable gear. Your enthusisam, shared experiences, and detailed explanation were really great. I have the older version of TA-1 (the TA-100) and it does a wonderful job with my Wharfedale Diamond bookshelf speakers. Thank you again!
I have the TA1 in my system and I am very very happy with it, it is one of the best bangs for your buck. I am also using the Ares II which is amazing for its price.
im a fan of emotiva. i use their a2m for my desktop because I like using headphone and speakers depending on my mood. since u can install the provided jumpers with them, u can power almost any headphones on the market cause it get 8.5 watts at 47 ohms. the 2 channel is sweet too with it being 50 watts per channel
Excellent review, thank you! How about pairing the emotiva speakers with the PS Audio Sprout? Would that be a considerable improvement over the Emotiva amp?
Thanks for the review, it was awesome, Don't know how I found you but subscribed for sure. I'd love to hear something about their new towers one day. Will be watching.
Very nice! I just purchased the bookshelves, TA1 plus Audioengine B-FI WIFI streamer, and the XS8 subwoofer for use in a bedroom. What kind of stands work well with these bookshelves and how high should they be?
I bought some of those speaker cables. Haven't tested them yet. Just 5' from the huge JBL 4430 clones to the twin JC1 monoblocs. CD playback via a 1980s Yamaha CD player, with orange LED display.
I'm interested in the Emotiva TA-1 and just one question:did you listen to the tuner and was it hard to access on the remote?? I have seen several reviews, one reviewer said it was too much work, another didn't mention it .Thanks I'm a new subscriber...who has several decent FM stations in my area
I find the DAC (IMO) to be weakest point on the TA1 (own it). It is not bad but limiting. I tried it with my old Modi and that was a step up. Prime day I got the Aune X8 XVIII on sale and picked up the Sparcos SS3602 Op Amp (free with the savings) and Oh My....very pleased. I have a small room and run it into the Emotiva T0+ (space limitation but pleasantly surprised by this speaker) and an Elac 3010 sub (I picked up on another deal)...All in....$1400 or so.....no regrets
For this budget system, I wouldn't bother with the latest Node 2i but get a used Node 2 and just steam directly for about $300 if you are not going to use the improved DAC. Also A killer cheap digital coax cable try the Monoprice Monolith cable for all of $12.95. For even cheaper streaming try the Wiim mini streamer for $80 to $90. Add the cable for total streaming capability for $100. Add a budget CD player and a pair of cables and you have the whole enchilada for $1500. .
To echo somebody else, thank you for doing some “more affordable “ gear as well as your usual higher end stuff. Have you heard the RP600M? If so, how would you compare them to b2+? I bought the 600m based on everyone raving about them and im not thrilled honestly. Figure i could sell those and buy b2+. Hoping for warmer midrange and not so shrill top end, all else being equal
@@net_news i did actually, granted the Reisong A10 is nothing fabulous ($$$) but warmer than typical class D for instance. Also tried with couple vintage amps. Just always have to turn the treble down so much to make them “less irritating “ that i feel im attenuating the music in general
@@net_news i love it for the most part, i just notice when trying to get longer listening sessions in, the top-top end gets a little “noisy” and im just not listening as much as I would prefer.
@@knobbshots well... the B1+ are cleaner in the top end, but they sound smaller, much smaller. I think you should try the ELACs, the Emotivas are a step back in my opinion.
Just note, for streaming to the built-in dac, one needs a streamer - such as the Bluesound Node as mentioned in this review. The Bluesound Node costs $599min the USA.
@@yournightmare9999 I just bought a pair of the B2+ and I tend to like their styling but I also understand why some people don't like their appearance. As they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
@Dave Gregory ..I also run the RME Dac with powered Emotiva Airmotiv 6s speakers and it sounds great. I love the parametric eq with presets for all my headphones too. Enjoy 🎯
Schiit just put out two DACs, one that measures well and one that doesn't. Universal feedback seems to be the one the doesn't measure well sounds far better.
It looks like the TA-1 phone stage is both MM and MC. Is there a reason you say it is MM only? Thanks.
So sorry and you are correct. It has an MC as well. No idea what happened there! But this makes the amp even better. I’ll do a follow up as I’m putting this in an analog setup tomorrow. Thank you!
It's a phono stage. Probably a typo!

Thanks for watching and I’ll be sure to do more affordable gear down the road as well. A mix of everything.
I have the TA1 with a pair of Elac Unifi 2.0, a SVS sub and a few extras, it sounds pretty great to my ears
And that's all that matters. Enjoy!
Great review. I run the TA1 with Elac Uni fi UB5 speakers. Denon TT with Grado cartridge. The sound quality is excellent. Also BT is excellent.

The T3+ Speakers are the Emotiva flagship. I wonder how they would sound with your reference system.
My goodness. Just wanna grab the gears right away! Well done and it is really helpful.
The link to the cables works but the listing says that they are out of stock and don’t know when they will be back. Just an FYI.
Now you gotta try their upper end power amps and their bigger speakers.

How would the B1+ sound with this?
Inebriated amplifier? Got to get me one of those!😂
Lol , I read that too , bloody autocorrect I suspect

Hi
I've just seen Emotiva for sale now in England. I just find their design pretty bad, I'm sure they sound great.
they are better in person, darth vader vibes.
Terrible design looks like a coffin
@@yournightmare9999 I just bought a pair of the B2+ and I tend to like their styling but I also understand why some people don't like their appearance. As they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
They look like a copy of Adam Audio studio monitors.
I'm done with ribbon tweeters
Ribbon Tweeters don't seem to give out a loud enough sound when l tried them from different brands

Who measures Speakers gave the Emotiva B2+ a bad rating for measurements
Schiit just put out two DACs, one that measures well and one that doesn't. Universal feedback seems to be the one the doesn't measure well sounds far better.
Tube amps measurements?
Who cares about measurements if you can’t hear the difference.
So, here we have yet another instance where audio satisfaction was far more important than measurements! Who could tell...
Ah yes..."measurements" ...the be all end all answer for hifi.... ridiculous.
If these speakers are 80% of your Devilles then the system should sound better than a $3500 to $5000 system.
That tells you that pass a certain price points the improvements are really small, it’s all about how much are you willing to spend
@@MAELOB that being the case the speakers should have been 95% or 99% of the Devilles’s.
He is talking about soundquality. Not $$. The law of diminishing returns hits hard in hifi
emotiwa is famouse for poor quality, lots of amps in denmark for sale are out of order.
when you working hardmyou never buying dac for 10k.never.
I had high hopes when I clicked on this but it wasn't a music system. No vinyl. (
