    I was just watching the video for the glow plug instal but the hood mount was what I have been looking for now for a long time. I know it's probably not the stock one but an easy fix to mount my hood thanks.

    Many thanks for that, been starting my B275 in the wilds of Canada with easy start, going to check my glow plugs as soon as it warms up!

    I have a block heater that I have to plug in for about 4 hours, it’s been -30 here this winter but once tractor is started snow blower works a charm! Tractor is 1960 built in Uk

    Hi Conner, I've just replaced the head gasket on a 1967 B-275 and I forgot how the GP were connected, and this saved me from having to buy a manual. This poor tractor needs a complete rebuild, covered in layers of grease and grime, and hasn’t seen any maintenance until I arrived on the scene, and I'm just learning about diesels. Your rig is beautiful, very inspiring. Love the muffler; Cheers from Vermont!

      Thanks for the comment and if you need to know anything just ask. I unfortunately lost all the pictures on an old phone of restoring this about 5 years ago. I rebuilt it from the ground up with every single bolt and nut taken out of it and I hadn’t been doing videos at the time. I have a manual I bought on ebay a long time ago for it for around 50 bucks so that could be a good option for you. As I said i know them inside out so any questions don’t be afraid to ask👍🏻

    hi, i have a b414, very similar to yours. You mentioned there is some modern glow plugs that will fit to replace the older types that are wired in series. for when wanting to wire them in parallel. ime wanting to do the glow plug mod on my tractor to make it start better in cold, by using the glow plugs modification, do you know the part number or numbers if there are more than 1 set that fits, so i can buy the glow plugs and do the mod,?. people on ebay sell the kit, but thats too expensive, i can do the wireing but need to know the correct glow plugs?. someone mentioned "champion ch44"-but wasnt 100% sure, do u know?. thanks dave uk.,

      Hi Dave, Yea the b414 is nearly the exact same. Sorry im not sure of the exact part and I have seen the kits on ebay which as you said are very expensive but I do know they were a Mercedes glow plug and glow plugs are expensive anyway. Someone once said it to me and said it’s a very successful way of making them easy to start. If I find out more I will let you know. I have put the standard ones in because I wanted to keep the tractor original as possible.

      @@connormcmahon3724 ok - many thx for replying-, ps - dont go to any trouble searching this, ill keep looking into it, but to be honest, ime not even sure if to do it really, As you say keep it original!...mine is starting ok at the mo, but the kit does look tempting, it makes it start easier, and if one of the newer style ones goes out, the others still work,,,,cheers pal...

    Hi mate, i have very similar tractor b414. Im replacinging all the wiring. Could you tell me where the 2 wires from ignition switch go to? Thanks

    • @connormcmahon3724
      @connormcmahon3724  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So your ignition starting handle I presume you’re referring to!? If it is then you just connect them to the small switch beside the starter motor. The starting solonoid, once connected properly should do the rest!

    • @connormcmahon3724
      @connormcmahon3724  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also google IH B-414 wiring diagram/schematic and it will tell you where you wiring needs to go!

      Hi, I just have a key switch (not an ignition starting handle?) Can find a diagram hat includes the ignition switch. Even bought the workshop manual and its not in there. Its a 1965 ih b414. Thanks

      @@gavindavis2868 As far as I know Gavin they didn’t come with an ignition switch. You will have to wire up the ignition yourself or get a mechanic/auto electrician to do it for you. You only need to run a positive feed to the ignition and a wire out to your starting solonoid to get it to engage the starter.
